Evaluation of Traffic Light Effectiveness on The Toll Overpass Segment on The Sidodadi Road, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency

    No full text
The evaluation of traffic light effectiveness is critical for optimizing road performance and minimizing congestion, particularly in high-traffic areas such as the overpass segment of Sidodadi Road, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency. This study analyzes the performance of traffic lights in regulating vehicle flow at intersections and proposes improvements to enhance traffic efficiency and safety. Using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997 as the analytical framework, this research examines traffic volume, degree of saturation, delays, and service levels under current traffic light configurations. Data were collected through traffic volume surveys during peak hours and included vehicle composition, intersection geometry, and traffic light cycle timing. The analysis revealed significant congestion during morning and evening peak hours, with a degree of saturation exceeding the recommended threshold. The delays and service levels indicated suboptimal performance, necessitating adjustments to traffic light timing and phase configurations. The study proposes two key alternatives to address these issues: short-term adjustments to traffic light cycles to accommodate peak-hour traffic and long-term solutions involving the redesign of intersection geometry and the implementation of adaptive traffic control systems. These recommendations aim to balance traffic flow, reduce delays, and prevent potential deadlock scenarios. This research underscores the importance of periodic evaluations and the integration of advanced technologies such as real-time adaptive traffic systems to optimize road performance and support regional economic activities. The findings contribute valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in improving traffic management strategies in similar urban setting

Cost And Time Performance Analysis Of The Ru Guest House And Main House Construction Project Using The Earned Value Method

    No full text
The construction project of Rumah Ru Guest House and Main House experienced delays due to a lack of careful initial planning and narrow access roads that hampered the delivery of materials. These obstacles affected the overall construction progress. To overcome these problems, the Earned Value Method (EVM) was used to analyze project performance in terms of cost and time. EVM uses three main indicators, namely Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP), and Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS). The research data was obtained from the executing contractor, CV. Cipta Karya Utama. The results of the analysis show that the project performance in week 15 to week 21 experienced problems, indicated by negative values in Schedule Variance (SV) and Cost Variance (CV). This reflects the delay of work from the planned schedule and cost overruns. In addition, the Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) values of less than 1 also confirm that the project's time and cost performance is not optimal. These findings emphasize the need for improvement in future project planning, particularly in anticipating logistical barriers and managing resources for more efficient project performanc

Analysis Of Traffic Growth On The Pavement Design Life Of Kh. Ahmad Dahlan Pohjentrek Road, Pasuruan City, Using The Mdp Bina Marga 2024 Method

    No full text
This study analyzes the impact of traffic growth on the pavement design life of KH. Ahmad Dahlan Pohjentrek Road in Pasuruan City using the Manual for Pavement Design (MDP) by Bina Marga 2024. The increasing volume of traffic, especially from heavy vehicles, has led to accelerated road deterioration and a significant reduction in the pavement's planned design life. The CESAL (Cumulative Equivalent Standard Axle Load) values exceeded the initial projections, reducing the planned lifespan from 10 years to 8 years. This finding highlights the critical need for regular evaluations of pavement thickness and the implementation of stricter monitoring systems for heavy vehicle loads. Advanced technologies, such as Weight-in-Motion (WIM) systems, can be instrumental in real-time vehicle load monitoring, thereby preventing further deterioration. Additionally, revising pavement designs to incorporate more robust materials and increasing layer thickness can enhance road durability. This study emphasizes the importance of adaptive and proactive road management strategies, including policy adjustments and routine maintenance programs, to ensure the longevity and functionality of critical infrastructure, particularly in regions experiencing rapid traffic growth. The findings serve as a reference for local governments and stakeholders in developing sustainable road management practice

The principle in prioritizing satisfaction is philosophy in the library. One of the many things considered is to provide quality services such as services that can meet students' needs and their expectations. The problem in this research is how to affect the quality of service relibiality, responsiveness, assurance, empathy dan tangibles on student satisfaction in using the library of Senior high school 1 of Padangsidimpuan and to know dimensions of service quality are most influential in students’ satisfication in utilizing the library. Samples taken were 78 people from all of these populations 98 students consisting of students registered as members of the library using the Slovin formula. Data from this research were collected through a questionnaire. nstruments of validity were tested using descriptive analysis supported by survey methods, hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression with 95% evidence intervals (? = 5%). The results showed that the dimensions of reliability, date power, assurance, empathy and tangibles had a positive influence on student satisfaction of 0.215 with a significant level of 95%. This shows that 21.5% of students' satisfaction in using library of Senior High School 1 of Padangsidimpuan can be influenced by several dimensions such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibles and the remaining 78.5% is influenced by other independent variables that have not been displayed. The most influential dimension in satisfying students in using the Library of Senior High School 1 of Padangsidimpuan is the responsiveness dimension

This study aimed to n use values the company can be determined by many factors, among which the size of the company, leverage, the price earnings ratio (PER) and Return On Equity (ROE) Firm size is considered able to influence the value of the company . the large size of the company shows that the company is developing so that investors will respond positively and the value of the company will increase. The relative market share shows the company's competitiveness is higher than its main competitors. Investors will respond positively so that the value of the company will increase. Companies that have total assets with large amounts or commonly referred to as large companies will get more attention from investors, creditors and other users of financial information compared to small companies. If the company has a large total assets, the management will be more flexible in using existing assets in the company. This ease in controlling assets will increase the value of the company. In the face of economic turmoil, usually a more sturdy company stands are large, although it does not rule out bankruptcy, so investors tend to like large-sized companies rather than small-sized companies. &nbsp

Background:. Children experience higher anxiety than adults this is due to emotional differences and mental development according to age, one of the efforts to overcome anxiety is to provide dental health education using methods, media and models of dental clinic rooms tailored to the needs of the child. In general, dental clinic rooms have white and creepy shades. The interior model of the dental clinic is made specifically to address the anxiety of the child at the time of childcare. Research Objective: produce an interior model of dental clinics as an alternative to child anxiety management Method: Research and Development (R&D) method, and model test using quasi-experimental non randomized control group pre-test and post-test design. Sampling techniques with purposive sampling, the study subjects were children who performed treatment at the dental clinic, divided into 2 groups of 20 children each, group 1. intervention of dental clinic interior models with wall wallpapers and acoustic videostimulions and 2. Media posters and dental health counseling as a control group. Data tested with Wilcoxon and Mann-whitney tests. Result: "Dental Clinic Interior Model" effective as an alternative to child anxiety management is shown with a p-value value of 0.036. There is a difference in the effectiveness of the "dental clinic interior model" with counseling and poster for child anxiety management is shown with a p-value of 0.102.
