    No full text
The purpose of this study was to improve learning outcomes in the alternative energy sub-theme by using a two-group design quasi-experimental research method at Selaawi State Elementary School. The subjects of this study were students in class III-A and III-B of Selaawi State Elementary School which consisted of 53 students. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The results showed that there was an influence of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Approach on Learning Outcomes of the Alternative Energy Sub-theme. This can be seen from the average N-gain value in the experimental class group of 79 in the high category, and the average N-gain value in the control class is 57.77. Thus the results of testing the hypothesis that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted because t_count> t_table is 9.5202 > 2.00758. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that this research shows that there is a positive effect of using the STEM approach

This research was conducted at SD Negeri Bojonggede 01 which aimed to determine the implementation of peer tutorial programs in mastering Google Forms. The subjects of this study were all teachers of SD Negeri Bojonggede 01 as many as 26 teachers, with 4 male and 22 female teachers. The collection of assessment data is carried out by observation through questionnaires. The results of this study can be concluded that, in the condition of teachers before there was a peer tutorial program, only 20.3% knew the Google Form application. While the expected conditions only amount to 50% of the number of teachers. However, after the peer program, many teachers who have understood and were able to achieve success in making online attendance through Google Form and applying it to online learning totaled 20 teachers (76.9%). This still needs to be improved again with the efforts of teachers to be more intensive in habituating routine activities for teaching and learning through the Google Form application

Alternative Design Solutions For Flexible And Rigid Pavements In The Sampang-Ketapang Road Widening Project (Section 113)

    No full text
The Sampang-Ketapang road segment (Link 113) plays a pivotal role in regional connectivity, supporting economic and social activities in Sampang Regency, a hub for salt and tobacco production. This study compares two pavement design alternatives: flexible pavement using Class A aggregate with a thickness of 200 mm and rigid pavement with a flexural strength of 4.5 MPa and a thickness of 300 mm. The analysis evaluates cost efficiency, implementation time, and suitability for the increasing traffic demands of the region. The results show that flexible pavement requires an investment of IDR 12.8 billion and a 7-month construction duration, while rigid pavement demands IDR 19.5 billion and a 9-month duration. Flexible pavement offers lower initial costs and shorter implementation time, making it a more feasible option for segments with moderate traffic. However, it requires more frequent maintenance, increasing long-term expenses. Conversely, rigid pavement is more durable, with minimal maintenance costs, but has higher initial costs and a longer construction timeline. Considering the economic and technical aspects, flexible pavement is recommended as the optimal solution for this project due to its cost-effectiveness and shorter timeline, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Strategic implementation combining both pavement types is also proposed, with flexible pavement for moderate traffic areas and rigid pavement for segments with heavy traffic. This approach balances cost efficiency, implementation time, and long-term durability, supporting the sustainable development of road infrastructure in Sampang Regenc

The Role of Planning and Construction Factors in The Performance of Design and Build Contracts for The East Surabaya Hospital Project

    No full text
The construction industry plays a crucial role in developing infrastructure, including essential facilities like hospitals. In recent years, the design and build method has gained popularity due to its ability to integrate design and construction phases under a single contract, offering efficiency in both time and cost. However, alongside its advantages, this method brings numerous risks that can significantly affect project outcomes, especially in terms of completion delays. This research aims to analyze the influence of risk factors in design and build on the time performance of hospital construction projects. The design and build model is one of the most commonly used contract methods in construction projects due to its effectiveness in simplifying the implementation stages. However, the application of this method is often faced with risks that can affect project completion, particularly in time management. This study employed data collection techniques using questionnaires on planning and construction factors. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation to determine the relationships between variables and multiple linear regression to measure the impact of risk factors on the project's time performance. The results show that construction factors have variables with significant and strong relationships to project success, while planning factors have some variables with weak and insignificant relationships. Therefore, risk management efforts should focus on variables with strong and significant correlations to ensure the project's optimal success.&nbsp
