Impact of Reels Video Marketing on Customers’ Purchase Intention
This research is motivated by the large number of internet users in Indonesia, as well as the use of Instagram with a variety of useful features provided, one of which is the Reels feature. The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of the Reel feature on Instagram can have a direct effect on Consumer Buying Interest or it can also be done indirectly through Consumer Brand Attitudes. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that variables based on independent scenarios, user participation, perceived benefits, perceived enjoyment, celebrity involvement directly have a positive and significant effect on consumer brand attitudes, and consumer brand attitudes also have a positive and significant effect on consumer purchase intentions. While interesting content directly (direct effect) does not have a positive and significant effect on consumer brand attitudes
The Right to Social Security of the Elderly People in Bangladesh: A Focus on Human Rights Violation
As the part of vulnerable groups, elderly people hold the rights to social security according to the constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This study has been launched for the purpose of revealing the picture of the facts and figures of the deprivation of social security as human rights violation of the elderly people in Bangladesh. The study has been done based on both primary and secondary sources of data. It reviewed the social security programs regarding elderly people such as, old age allowance, widow allowance and disability allowance. The study found that the government has taken several programs. But these programs have not been successful to achieve cent percent success due to corruption, nepotism and inadequate national economy. Most of the elderly people of Bangladesh cannot enjoy properly the rights to social security. For raising awareness about rights and responsibilities, enhancing proper ethical education can be helpful to remove these obstacles. Raising massive social movement against corruption and nepotism can also be helpful as the beacon of hope in the way of ensuring social security of the elderly people in Bangladesh

Lesbian Performativity and Heteronormativy in The Novel Lesbian Laki-Laki by Deojha: Judith Butler
Lesbians are a testament to sexual diversity in society, but in reality, the existence of minorities is still faced with the dilemma of norms in society. The condition occurs since people still acknowledge heteronormality or only consider heterosexual orientation deemed normal. This study was designed to describe lesbian performativity and heteronormativity in the novel Lesbian Laki-Laki (Male Lesbian) by Deojha's using the Judith Butler's theory of Queer. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method. The results showed that gender and sexual identity discourse are constructed by language and body markers. The heterosexual discourse of acceptable gender identity only involves masculinity and femininity, then sexually divided into two parts, called male and female. The Effect of Economic Determinants on Capital Structure with Market Conditions as a Control Variable (Case Study of IDX-Listed LQ 45 Manufacturing Company in 2015-2019)
This study aims to examine the effect of economic determinants on Capital Structure as measured by Profitability, Company Size, Company Growth, Asset Structure, Liquidity, Effective Tax Rate, Business Risk in LQ 45 Manufacturing Companies Listed on the IDX in the 2015 – 2019 Period. The information used in this study came from the company's annual report, which was made available to the public via the Indonesia Stock Exchange or the company's website. Purposive sampling was employed, with a total sample size of 135 samples. Multiple linear regression analysis was utilized to analyze the data in this study. Classic assumption testing, such as descriptive analysis, chow test, Hausman test, LM test, data normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation, had previously been performed on the data. The research data were found to be regularly distributed during the observation period. No variables diverged from the traditional assumptions based on the normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests. This demonstrates that employing several linear regression equation models, the given data met the requirements. The variables of company size, company growth, effective tax rate, and business risk do not have a substantial effect on capital structure, according to this study. Capital structure is influenced by profitability, asset structure, and liquidity
Analysis of Employee Performance Improvement in Medan City PUD Market
The achievement of revenue targets for PUD (Regional Public Enterprises) Market of Medan was not as expected, which shows the performance of PUD Market of Medan is not optimal. Many factors affect the achievement of revenue targets, one of which is the human factor, in this case, is the absence of PUD Market employee performance. If the employee has a good performance, then thetrader as the party renting selling space will be more loyal and impact increasing the occupancy rate of the market. This study aims to analyze PUD Market of Medan employee performance and its influence factor. This type of research in this study is correlational researchconsisting of four independent variables and the dependent variable of employee performance. Analysis of the data used is multiple regression analysis. The result showed that the performance of employees PUD Market in Medan by 39.1% was influenced bycompetence, work culture, organizational communication, and motivation
Analysis of Student Participation in University Organization Using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling
This study aims to find the effect of organizational climate and motivation on member participation in student organization activities. The sample in this study amounted to 113 members of the Hasanuddin University Political Science Student Association. Data were collected through questionnaires and then analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling technique available in the SmartPLS program. The results of this study indicate that organizational climate and motivation have a positive and significant influence on member participation in organizational activities. The implication of the statement shows that maximizing the level of participation, it can be done by strengthening and adjusting the dimensions of values contained in the organizational climate and motivational constructs
Determinants of Insurance Awareness and Perceived Value and Their Impact on Unit Linked Insurance Customer Retention With The COVID-19 Pandemic as Moderator
Purpose – During the covid 19 pandemic life insurance companies faced matter of concerning to extension of customers of unit linked insurance policies. Unit-linked life insurance product has become a major contributor to the company's profits. This study aims to investigate the factors that influence insurance awareness and perceived value and their impact on customer retention with the covid 19 pandemic as a moderator.
Design/methodology/approach – This study conducted an online survey and total of 230 completed questionnaires were collected from customers in Jakarta. The data was analyzed using SmartPLS software.
Findings – Results indicate that insurance awareness, perceived value, and covid 19 pandemic significantly influence customer retention. Insurance agents, psychological factors and financial literacy significantly influence insurance awareness. E-service quality significantly affects perceived value. The interaction between the covid 19 pandemic and insurance awareness and the interaction between the covid 19 pandemic and perceived value did not significantly affect customer retention.
Originality/value – The study contributes to the marketing literature by proposing a conceptual model: the life insurance customer retention model. The findings offer practical guidance to life insurance companies to keep the customer loyalty
Social Capital as a Strategy to Sustain Women's Functionality in TNKS Pal Delapan Forest Suburbs Rejang Lebong Regency
This study focuses on social capital as a strategy for women's functionality in the forest suburbs of TMKS Pal Eight, Rejang Lebong Regency. Communities, especially women who live around the periphery of the forest, have undergone changes in the area of control of agricultural land, because there are provisions for the boundaries of the TNKS forest area and this is related to social functionality. The purpose of social capital research as a strategy to maintain the social functionality of women living on the edge of TNKS Forest is a qualitative research study that will provide the necessary contribution as a foundation and pattern of problem solving related to women maintaining social functionality in social life. Participant data collection through direct observation and in-depth interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed with an interactive model based on qualitative interplay inductively with an emic approach. The results showed that social capital is a resource that is used as a functional strategy for women tending to be based on land tenure. The area of land tenure after the TNKS area is determined, women in the family unit manage customary forest land communally. For them, forests are an element of sustainable life and forests not only function economically and socially, but also have spiritual value. Households are narrow and unbiased with a pattern of relationships in carrying out social functionality in the form of economic working group units based on region of origin and place of residence
Redressing Historical Bias: Exploring the Path to an Accurate Representation of the Past
The study examines the role of historical bias and the ways in which it can be addressed to achieve a more accurate representation of the past. The study aims to identify the factors that contribute to historical bias, the impact it has on our understanding of history, and the strategies that can be employed to overcome it. The study employs a mixed-methods approach that includes a comprehensive review of relevant literature, interviews with scholars and historians, and analysis of historical narratives. The study finds that historical bias is perpetuated by a variety of factors, including political and cultural agendas, the limitations of available evidence, and the perspectives and biases of historians themselves. The study also identifies several strategies that can be used to address historical bias, including the adoption of a more diverse and inclusive approach to historical research, the incorporation of multiple perspectives and sources, and the acknowledgement of historical injustices and their impact on marginalized groups. The study concludes that a commitment to redressing historical bias is necessary to achieve a more accurate and inclusive representation of the past, which can in turn contribute to a more just and equitable society.
