Develop Artifacts to Automate and Optimize Construction Schedules for Multi-Story Buildings Using a Spatio-Temporal Model

    No full text
In the construction of multi-story buildings, accurate and efficient scheduling is essential to ensure that the project runs smoothly. Traditional planning models focus primarily on defining activities and establishing their constraints, but they usually omit spatial constraints and operation flows. This can lead to problems such as congestion or slackening of the construction site. Indeed, without an accurate representation of the sequence of work and supply flows on the site, it's difficult to manage the available space properly and anticipate potential collisions between activities. By integrating spatiotemporal aspects, it is possible to better understand and plan the various construction stages. The aim of this research is to develop artifacts that will facilitate the automation and visual optimization of construction operations. Based on the principles of design science to create the different types of artifacts needed to model operations, it is possible to model and simulate the construction process. Artifacts will represent tasks, resources, materials and spaces, to take account of spatio-temporal constraints, resource flow and dependencies between tasks. Automating repetitive tasks can help to reduce lead times and costs, improve quality and increase overall project efficiency
