Perceived use of digital marketing and customer engagement among micro-restaurants in Jaro Iloilo City
Get PDFAbstract onlyThis study, which aimed to determine the perceived use of digital marketing among micro-restaurants which includes the specified data in terms of sex, marital status and employment status. The respondents in the study were 100 customers who chose to participate from the different micro-restaurants. The purposive sampling method was also used to ensure that respondents were proportionately represented. This study uses a correlational, non-experimental design on micro-restaurants in Jaro, Iloilo City, reflecting the research's objective to understand the existing relationships between customer satisfaction and the quality of food, service, and overall dining experience in micro restaurants. A survey type of questionnaire was personally handed to the respondents to gather necessary information. Findings indicate that the majority of the respondents were single female students. The findings revealed that the ranking of distribution of their respondents according to their level that digital is better than other alternatives. In general digital marketing is very helpful but less compared to the four segments mentioned in the paper. The findings also shows that the Perceived Use of Digital Marketing and Customer Engagement among Micro- Restaurants in Jaro Iloilo City in the given population are rated as " Very Useful” regardless of sex, marital status, and employment status. The study used independent samples to analyze the extent of engagement in digital marketing among respondents. Results showed no significant differences in sex and marital status. Common administrative functions include governance, public services, revenue generation, and intergovernmental relations. For an LGU to function properly it needs a City Hall that is organized and competent in handling transactions, something the current City Hall of Passi lacks. This disarray and congestion of offices results in longer and inefficient transaction time. This project study provides the design for a four-storey. 6293 sq. m . city hall with 36 offices, a waiting area, pantries and conference rooms. Special features include the use of film-coated windows for temperature and UV rays control. The structural design was based on the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) 2015 while the plumbing, sanitary and electrical designs followed their respective codes and standards. The estimated cost of the project is PhP 129,039,164.59 based on the present cost of materials. The construction time of the structure is approximately 360 working days and shall be funded by the LGU-Passi City. Perceived readiness for accreditation to PRIME-HRM Level 1 of Professional Regulation Commission Region VI: A mixed method
Get PDFAbstract onlyThis study, which aimed to describe the perceived readiness of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Region VI for accreditation to PRIME-HRM Level 1, utilized the mixed-method, explanatory sequential design. The researcher used both quantitative and qualitative data to provide the best understanding of the research problem. The study's population of interest was ail permanent employees of PRC Region VI; hence, a total of 35 respondents were included in the conduct of the quantitative phase, and 12 participants were purposefully chosen as participants in the qualitative phase. To probe deeper into the quantitative findings, a Key informant interview (Kll) was conducted. The statistical tool used in the analysis of the data gathered was mean for the quantitative phase, and for the qualitative phase, thematic analysis was utilized in recognizing patterns and themes in the qualitative data. In the quantitative phase, the results revealed that PRC Region VI is partially ready for PRIME HRM Level I accreditation. Among the four PRIME HRM categories, two received the result "fully ready," namely recruitment, selection, and placement and performance management; HRD learning and development received the result "partially ready," and rewards and recognition received the result "not ready." As to the qualitative phase: For category 1: Recruitment, Selection, and Placement, PRC Region VI was proved to have an established procedure in the hiring and recruitment process. For category 2: Performance Management, there are areas that need improvement, though they have been proven to be fully ready. In category 3: HRD Learning and Development (L&D), a lack of human resource development personnel and poor management support are the factors explaining why PRC Region VI appeared to be partially ready. Lastly, for category 4: Rewards and Recognition, due to the fact this is still under the function of the Central Office, the result was undeniably partially ready.Includes bibliographical referencesMaster in Public Administratio
Acceptability of Blumea camphor (Blumea balsamifera (L.) D.C.) leaves cookies
Get PDFAbstract onlyThe primary objective of this study was to examine the acceptability of Blumea Camphor (Blumea Balsamifera (L) D.C.) in terms of appearance, aroma flavor, texture, and overall acceptance in creating cookies. This was a quantitative research design that employed accidental sampling method. The data were gathered through a questionnaire given to 90 respondents in one of the Private Higher Education Institution (HEI) Lopez Jaena St., Jaro, Iloilo City. The level of acceptability of Blumea Camphor (Blumea Balsamifera (L) D.C.) Cookies as perceived by the respondents in terms of appearance, aroma, flavor, texture and general acceptability in Blumea Camphor (Blumea balsamifera) leaves cookies with cardamom powder was highly acceptable and Blumea camphor (Blumea balsamifera) leaves cookies with cinnamon powder and panda syrup were extremely acceptable. There was no statistically significant difference in level of acceptability based on age or sex while classification had a significant acceptance in terms of appearance, aroma, flavor and general acceptability. Results revealed that female was more participative than male respondents, mostly in young ages. Furthermore, the level of acceptability as perceived by the respondents in terms of appearance, aroma, flavor, texture and overall acceptability played an essential factor in the product, and the level of satisfaction was not affected in all different sensory characteristics and when respondents were grouped according to age, sex and classification.Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Managemen
Interactive sensory art workbook to improve fine motor skills of learners with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
Get PDFFull text availableAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that significantly affects both children and adults. Notably, a large number of learners with ADHD exhibit motor deficiencies, particularly in fine motor skills (ADHD Society of the Philippines, 2022). This research aimed to develop an Interactive Sensory Art Workbook that can improve the fi ne-motor skills of learners with ADHD. The study employed a Developmental Research Design and utilized an Input-Output model to showcase the process of developing the workbook. Five Special Education (SPED) Teachers participated in face-to face interviews to share their observations on the fine-motor difficulties of learners with ADHD, teaching strategies, activity contents, and materials used to improve their fine-motor skills. Interview data were thematically analyzed, shaping the foundation for the workbook's design. The workbook included three main parts: (1) the Preliminaries, (2) Progress checklist, (3) Activity Sheets. It was evaluated to be highly acceptable by three SPED teachers with five years of experience in SPED. The workbook received a Strongly Agree rating, signifying substantial endorsement which indicates that the workbook is highly acceptable. Level of satisfaction of guests on the COVID-19 safety protocols of DOT-Accredited safety-sealed hotels in Iloilo City
Get PDFAbstract onlyThis study, which aimed to determine the level of satisfaction of guests on the COV ID-19 safety protocols of safety sealed hotels in Iloilo City, utilized the descriptive or survey research method. A total of 294 respondents participated in the study, including 83 respondents from Hotel A, 79 respondents from Hotel B, 45 respondents from Hotel C, and 87 respondents from Hotel D. To identify the sample size of the study, the researchers used the Slovin's formula and stratified random sampling was employed to determine the number of respondents per hotel. A research questionnaire constructed by the researchers was based on the Safety Seal Assessment Checklist issued by the Department of Tourism for accommodation establishments and it was composed of three parts. The first part of the questionnaire contained a research consent form and the researchers’ agreement with the respondent, which was part of the ethical considerations of the study, while the second part, a demographic profile of the respondents, which was necessary for the study and the last part, a questionnaire proper on the level of satisfaction of guests in terms of COVID-19 Safety Protocols, Service Quality, and Cleanliness. The data gathered were analyzed by the researchers with the help of an expert in statistics. The statistical tools used in the study were frequency count, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and p-value. The results revealed that majority of the respondents from Hotels A, B, C, and D were both satisfied and very satisfied in terms of COVID-19 Safety Protocols, Service Quality, and Cleanliness when grouped according to age, sex, travel type, employment status, marital status and place of residence. And for the overall, results, Hotels A, B, C, and D garnered both high and very high overall satisfaction index results from the respondents.Bachelor of Science in Tourism Managemen
The acceptability of the combined ripe papaya (Carica papaya linneaus) horseradish tree (Moringa oleifera lamoureaux) leaves as jam
Get PDFAbstract onlyTo have a healthier alternative to the common jam that is sold in markets, the researchers decided to conduct a study on papaya and horseradish tree as jam. Regarding accessibility, the study's raw ingredients are easily accessible all year round in the city's wet markets. The descriptive approach was applied in this descriptive study because descriptive research focuses on acquiring data to describe and interpret current circumstances or conditions. One hundred respondents in one of the Private Higher Education Institutions were chosen to participate in this study and rate the level of Acceptability of the Combined Ripe Papaya and Horseradish Tree Leaves as Jam in terms of appearance, aroma, and taste. The respondents' ages ranged from 18 to 59, and were randomly selected using an accidental sampling method. The researchers created a research survey instrument and corrections were taken into account when creating the questionnaire's final draft. The researchers secured permission from the Dean to administer a questionnaire to respondents on the First Semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023. The results were retrieved, scored and statistically treated using statistical tools. Data showed no significant differences in all three sensory characteristics, appearance, aroma, and taste, according to respondents' classifications, age, and sex. The study found that most respondents were students, ages 25 and below, and female. The design and development of AR SNS: A 3D scan and share furniture visualization software application
Get PDFAbstract onlyThis thesis presents the development of a subscription-based 3D Scan and Share furniture visualization software application that harnesses the capabilities of photogrammetry technology and augmented reality (AR) to enable furniture shop users to scan their products, generate 3D models, and share them with customers, enabling an immersive product experience with a "try before you buy" approach. By leveraging AR technology, furniture shop customers can virtually place and view their desired furniture items within their own space, facilitating informed purchasing decisions. Additionally, the software application enables users to capture the AR scene and share it with others remotely, encouraging collaboration and obtaining valuable feedback for improved product selection. The implementation of this software application is expected to contribute to several benefits for furniture shops, including enhanced customer satisfaction, increased sales, reduced product returns, and an overall improvement in the customer experience. By combining the potential of photogrammetry and AR technologies, this thesis aims to revolutionize the process of furniture visualization and purchase, transforming the way customers interact with and evaluate furniture products. The research methodology involved in the design and development of the software application, utilizes photogrammetry techniques for 3D model generation and integration of AR capabilities for immersive visualization. Usability testing and user feedback were gathered through interactions with furniture shop customers, ensuring the effectiveness and user-friendliness of the application. Through this thesis project, a novel solution is presented that addresses the limitations of traditional furniture shopping experiences. Combining photogrammetry and AR technologies, it offers a promising opportunity for the furniture industry.
