    In Indonesia, the Covid-19 pandemic became a very scary issue in 2020-2021. Many of the impacts that have arisen from the pandemic include economic, educational and social impacts. The very visible impact of education is the number of students who complain about the results of learning carried out online or online. Even researchers found information that many did not go to school because they had been married early. The news was found in Mandailing Natal district. The research on early marriage certainly has an influence on the number of Marriage Dispensations. The Marriage Dispensation has an influence on the high rate of early marriage. The study was conducted at the Panyabungan Religious Court. The problems that the researcher raised were: what are the factors behind the occurrence of early marriage during the Covid-19 pandemic (Case Study of the Increase in Marriage Dispensation in Panyabungan Religious Courts) and how the Perspective of Islamic Law on increasing marriage dispensations in Panyabungan Religious Courts during the Covid-19 period. This type of research is qualitative research and its object regarding the factors of early marriage during the Covid-19 period, in this case early marriage which is included in the Marriage Dispensation. Based on the results of the research conducted, the factors behind the occurrence of early marriage are divided into two, namely internal factors including personal desire factors, low education factors, low economic factors, parental factors, married by accident or pregnant outside of marriage. Meanwhile, external factors are factors of amendment to the Law, social factors, factors of religious understanding, factors of mass media and factors of local customs or culture. In the perspective of Islamic Law, there is a problem aspect in the consideration of the Judge granting the marriage dispensation. The increase in the number of applications for marriage dispensation in the Panyabungan Religious Court is not a problem. Because it is a state regulation to impose a Marriage Dispensation if the age does not reach 19 years. This means that it is in accordance with Islamic law and contains aspects of benefit. For if the request of the parties is not granted it is possible that there will be a greater mudharat as they will marry Siri

    Staying at home: the perspectives of Minangkabau ulemas concerning husbands' provision of sustenance in covid-19 impacted households

    The article discusses the perspectives of Minangkabau ulemas in West Sumatra concerning the ruling for husbands incapable of providing a living for their wife as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In West Sumatra, some husbands were unable to provide sustenance to their wife because they were dismissed from their employment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study findings are highly specific as Minangkabau customs and culture are grounded on a matrilineal system, yet they remain to be based on Islamic sharia. The research data were acquired by in-depth interviews with three influential ulemas in West Sumatra and a prominent customary figure who is the Chair of the Minangkabau Adat Council. The study found that according to the Minangkabau customary and cultural perspective, husbands are duty-bound to earn a living outside their home while their wife remains at home. Such spousal relationship has an impact on the wife’s acceptance of the husband who became jobless since they were dismissed on account of the pandemic. A condition wherein wives can accept being married to a husband incapable of providing a living on account of the COVID-19 outbreak does not become a legal issue. Accordingly, the study will have implications on the formation of new categories concerning the husband’s obligation to provide sustenance to his wife during a state of emergency

    Mangolat boru is an event to confront the bride and groom before the bride's departure to the namboru's house (in-law) which is carried out by the namboru's son from the bride as a farewell so that there is a pangolat wage or money. Pangolat money will be given by the men to the namboru from the women. the wages or pangolat money given by the groom is not enough, so the namboru child of the bride continues to hold and ask for more mangolat wages to the groom. In addition to slowing down, sometimes the time of the mangolat jam approaches the Maghrib call to prayer, which is where the implementation of this mangolat still continues. The purpose of the study was to find out how Islamic law reviews the mangolat tradition in marriage customs in the Bondar flower family, Sipirok district, South Tapanuli district and to find out the implementation of the mangolat tradition in the community of Bunga Bondar village. This type of research is field research. Research conducted in collecting data on phenomena that occur, is natural and scientific. The data collection of this research uses observational field studies, interviews, as well as documentation and libraries, and uses a systematic discussion. The results revealed in the thesis entitled Mangolat Tradition in Marriage Customs in the Bunga Bondar Village, Sipirok District, South Tapanuli Regency is that the mangolat custom tradition carried out by the community has been carried out for generations in various generations, this mangolat event is the last event in the implementation of the mandatory custom. carried out in a wedding ceremony, with that wages or money pangolat will always be a complement to the implementation of the mangolat pickle, where the mangolat event will take a lot of time so that the departure of the bride and groom will take a long time due to the implementation of this mangolat event

    This study intends to critically examine and analyze the process of national fiqh actualization in shaping an attitude of religious moderation. Bearing in mind, the problem of unity amidst differences is primary, so it must remain a serious concern to maintain the country’s resilience. The research method was qualitative with a library research approach, which collected a variety of relevant literature according to the topic of study. This study concludes that the concept of national fiqh has an orientation to unity and integrity in maintaining national sovereignty wrapped with nationalism. National fiqh’s relevance and religious moderation become a mutually reinforcing synergy because national fiqh seeks to build a nationalist humanistic paradigm to reduce differences. Then, the actualization of national fiqh in building Indonesia’s religious moderation is the appreciation of the teachings of Islam in a complex and contextualist manner, not merely normative or dogmatic, strengthened by the process of cultivating moderate, fair, tolerant, humanist, ethical, religious, and nationalist attitude
