Combination of deep breathing relaxation techniques and aromatherapy to reduce pain in patient with thoracic myeloradiculopathy: a case report
Thoracic myeloradiculopathy is a gradual loss of nerve function caused by spinal cord tumor metastases at the thoracic level resulting in pain and reduced sensation or paralysis. Mrs. N, 59 years old with thoracic myeloradiculopathy, has acute pain as the main nursing problem. The patient has been given pharmacological pain management by administering the analgesic paracetamol 3×500 mg. Acute pain in patients with thoracic myeloradiculopathy can occur in all phases of treatment which causes additional days of treatment so it is necessary to provide complementary therapy which can reduce the days of hospitalization. One of the nonpharmacological complementary therapies that have been proven effective in relieving pain in patients with thoracic myeloradiculopathy is a combination of deep breathing relaxation techniques using aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is given to the patient by dripping an essential oil containing Lavandula angustifolia (lavender), Citrus nobilis (mandarin orange), and Origanum majorana (marjoram) onto cotton and inhaled by the patient. Implementation is carried out once during a 7-day treatment period with a duration 0f 20-30 minutes after the patient performs personal hygiene or when going to rest. The evaluation results showed that the patient's pain scale decreased significantly from a score of 4 to a score of 2. Giving a combination of deep breathing relaxation techniques and aromatherapy is effective in reducing pain complaints in patients with thoracic myeloradiculopathy in addition to pharmacological therapy given by the medical team)

Implementation of ArcGIS story maps as a media information and counseling of COVID-19 in palu city
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to increase, transmission, spread, and death rates are increasing, resulting in the implementation of large-scale social restrictions on community activities in Indonesia. This high rate of transmission can be caused by poor public behavior towards prevention programs that have been announced by the Government. In order to increase public knowledge in prevention and communication and minimize the spread of COVID-19, socialization and outreach media are needed that can encourage more effective delivery and dissemination of information. Technological developments encourage the delivery of information to become more interactive. One use of technology is delivering information with spatial integration through ArcGIS Story Maps. Story Maps can be handy for spreading knowledge on several topics, focusing on where the story occurs. In this paper, we explore the opportunities offered by Story Maps to implement Story Maps as an outreach media and a solution for socializing and disseminating information during the pandemic. Specifically, we refer to a series of different applications offered by Esri for building Story Maps based on different approaches and techniques. The results of using Story Maps are in the form of presenting information, information media, and counseling in the form of an interactive map which contains a general description of COVID-19, case conditions, level of spread, and how to handle it and related regulations through the Story Maps feature. This story map involves geospatial elements, web GIS, text, images, and video so that it can be an alternative solution for related parties in socializing and disseminating information during the pandemi
The implementation of mamdani fuzzy logic in determining student concentration in the computer engineering program
The selection of a concentration is an important stage for students in the Computer Engineering program at the State University of Makassar before entering the fifth semester. Each student must choose one of the concentrations in the fields of networking, embedded systems, or smart systems. This concentration selection has a significant impact on academic activities and future career abilities. However, the lack of awareness among students about their talents and interests has resulted in many students having difficulty in choosing the right concentration. To address this issue, this research proposes using the Mamdani fuzzy logic method to assist students in selecting the appropriate concentration based on their talents and interests. The approach is carried out by collecting information through questionnaires filled out by students who have completed the fourth semester of the Computer Engineering program. The collected data is then processed using the concepts of Mamdani fuzzy logic in the MATLAB environment to generate concentration scores for each field. The research results show the effectiveness of Mamdani fuzzy logic in determining the concentration of students in networking, embedded systems, and smart systems, with an accuracy rate of up to 80%. By using the appropriate linguistic variables, students' levels of interest and abilities in each field can be accurately represented. This research has benefits for students and the university in identifying the right concentration that aligns with the interests and abilities of students at the State University of Makassar
