Conserving Ghana’s biodiversity: A Spotlight on the potentials in green informatics
Rapid biodiversity loss is a global concern with associated impacts on ecosystems and human welfare. But Ghana, a West African country, is not exempt. The country’s biodiversity has been threatened by deforestation and illegal mining. Green informatics can be used to manage the challenges posed by climate change-related streams and conserve Ghana’s biodiversity. Using green informatics means intelligent solutions to sustainability in biodiversity conservation projects in countries. Green informatics has been utilized for different districts and it is protecting biodiversity that is released as an ecological issue in some nations. Green informatics is relatively new to Ghana and its potential in conserving biodiversity is yet unexplored. This perspective paper examines the idea of green informatics and explores its potential in biodiversity conservation for Ghana. The study opens with a short discussion of biodiversity in Ghana and the threats that it faces. It proceeds by defining the term green informatics, outlining its core elements before broadening into a more detailed exposition on how these may be expected to confer specifically around biodiversity conservation. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of green informatics as a necessity for biodiversity conservation in Ghana and further research on this topic
Unlocking the opportunities and challenges of using ChatGPT tools for educational services: A narrative literature review
The OpenAI-created ChatGPT, which uses artificial intelligence (AI), is widely used in several industries, including education. Likewise, the roll-out of ChatGPT has shown how this AI technology may supplement, and in certain situations even replace, human labor in certain job-related activities and duties. This narrative literature review unlocks the opportunities and challenges of using ChatGPT tools for educational services, considering the related articles discussed in this article. This narrative literature review employed an integrated study of existing literature to identify research gaps, summarize a body of literature, and form conclusions about a subject. It has been found that ChatGPT can be helpful but should be introduced into the classroom carefully and, therefore, not a replacement for learning, as with any new tools. Teachers and students must consider equity, ethics, and plagiarism if they incorporate AI technology into their outputs. It is critical to see ChatGPT as an adjunct tool that improves and enriches the learning process rather than as a substitute for conventional teaching approaches. This technology can improve teaching and learning while creating new educational opportunities when used ethically and under close supervision
Contrastive rhetoric and the discourse of second language learning across cultures: A critical synthesis of existing literature
Contrastive rhetoric is the field that studies how language and writing styles differ between cultures and how these differences affect second language learning. The article attempted to critically synthesize the existing literature on contrastive rhetoric and its implications for intercultural second language learning. As a branch of comparative linguistics, contrastive rhetoric involves the structured study of a combination of languages in order to solve the problems that learners face in transferring rhetorical patterns from a first language to a second language, thereby identifying their structural differences and similarities. However, the question of whether a learner\u27s first language influences foreign language learning or not has remained a mystery to many second language acquisition scholars and researchers for many years. The article uses a systematic review approach methodology to discuss the origins and development of contrastive analysis, its theoretical foundations and assumptions, its applications and benefits to learning second languages and other fields, and the theory of contrastive analysis. The research shows that although contrastive rhetoric has been widely criticized for being overly simplistic and narrow, it has evolved to include interdisciplinary perspectives and approaches that serve to address linguistic diversity and inclusivity. The research shows that contrastive rhetoric is not only a starting point for educators but also a tool for addressing the rhetorical challenges that students face when transferring rhetorical patterns from their native languages

Nigerian state and the challenges of financial security, 2015-2022
Many studies have been carried out on the role of the State in economic development, but the relationship between the state, especially the nexus between the Nigerian state and the challenges of financial security” has not been critically interrogated. Before now, many political pundits would argue that a state is a political entity having a population residing in a geographical entity and represented by the government. The above definition seems not to be the case in contemporary Nigerian society. The quest to investigate the contemporary nature of the Nigerian state and the challenges of financial security is the rationale for this study. This study employed the Marxian theory of the post-colonial state. The study adopted a qualitative research method, via the use of observation and secondary sources of data in carrying out the study. The study finds out among other things that the refusal of the Nigerian state to build strong institutions rather than preserving weak institutions has led to poor infrastructural development, a development that poses a challenge to financial security in the country. The study recommends among other things, that Civil society organisations and faith-based organisations should orientate Nigerians on the need to build and nurture a new national culture that will build and promote strong institutions where the rule of law, good societal norms, conventions and regulations of governments that promote equality, justice and fairness are encouraged and enforced across the board by every Nigerian
