Pemilihan Pemasok Bahan Makanan pada Kafetaria Universitas XYZ: Penerapan Metode MARCOS untuk Keputusan Multikriteria
The cafeteria of XYZ University serves as an essential service hub for students, especially dormitory residents, so the selection of food suppliers must systematically consider quality, food safety, delivery reliability, service, and cost. This study aims to formulate a transparent and replicable multi-criteria decision-making model for selecting food suppliers for a university cafeteria. Five criteria are used in the evaluation, namely quality and freshness (C1), delivery reliability (C2), compliance with food safety standards (C3), service responsiveness (C4), and price (C5), applied to four supplier alternatives (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta). The criteria weights are determined based on expert judgments and normalized so that their sum equals one. The MARCOS method is implemented through six main stages: construction of the decision matrix, determination of ideal and anti-ideal alternatives, normalization according to criteria type, weighting, calculation of aggregate scores, and computation of utility degrees relative to the ideal and anti-ideal conditions. The results show the final ranking Alpha > Gamma > Beta > Delta, with Alpha having the highest utility value and Delta the lowest. Sensitivity analysis with moderate variations in the weights indicates that the ranking remains stable, suggesting that the decision is robust against reasonable changes in policy preferences. In practical terms, the proposed model provides a numerical framework that is easy to audit and communicate to non-technical stakeholders, and can serve as a basis for procurement policy formulation and periodic evaluation of supplier performance in university cafeteria settings
Socialization of Waste Management and Distribution of Trash Bins to Increase Community Knowledge in Kedungbako Village
Waste is a crucial issue that must be addressed, especially by the government. Although waste is a particular concern, the reality is that it is not being managed properly. Waste remains an unresolved problem. Almost every day, people produce waste and it is mixed together from various types of waste. The accumulation of waste will cause various problems, such as flooding, ecosystem damage, and poor water sanitation. The purpose of this community service is to provide socialization about an effective waste management system, including the decomposition of organic and inorganic waste and the distribution of trash cans. Because the community service sees that one of the main factors that causes villagers to throw waste in the river is the lack of trash cans in several places frequently visited by the community. The method of implementing this PKM is initial implementation, socialization, distribution of trash cans, monitoring and evaluation with an emphasis on solving the problem, namely the lack of literacy and public awareness about waste. The conclusion of this community service is to create a clean environment free of waste that will have a positive impact on the community and the surrounding environment so that the community can realize the importance of managing waste that can generate economic value. It is hoped that this activity can increase and encourage public thinking about the benefits that can be generated by the presence of trash cans, waste management, and literacy that has been provided to the community
Black Soldier Fly as an Alternative to Strengthen the Local Economy and Manage Organic Waste in Mojolaban District
Waste remains a major issue in various regions, particularly organic waste. Unmanaged organic waste can cause environmental pollution and contribute to increased greenhouse gas emissions. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12 (Sustainable Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Action on Climate Change), innovative solutions are needed to manage organic waste more effectively and efficiently. Waste banks, as environmental advocates, are currently focusing more on managing inorganic waste because it is considered to have greater market value than organic waste. Black Soldier Fly is an alternative in processing organic waste that has economic value. Community service activities aim to strengthen the economy of the community in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency through black soldier fly training as an environmentally friendly and sustainable method of managing organic waste. This activity includes outreach, training, and mentoring for waste bank members in Demakan Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency. The black soldier flies produced can be used as alternative feed for the fisheries and poultry sectors, thus supporting the circular economy concept. This activity is expected to raise public awareness of more productive organic waste management, reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment, and create business opportunities based on local resources. Thus, this activity not only contributes to improving community welfare but also accelerates the achievement of the SDGs through more inclusive and sustainable economic development
