The Effectiveness of Using Role Play to Improve Speaking Skills for Students of Senior High School
The following subjects were specifically investigated in this study; 1) To compare role play learning strategies and conventional models in improving students\u27 English speaking skills. 2.) To find out why the role play learning strategy in improving students\u27 english speaking skills can be said to be more effective. The design of this research is quasi-experimental using control and experimental classes. The method that will be used in the experimental class is the use of Role Play and the control method uses the conventional method. The sample that will be taken by the researcher is two classes from class XI MIPA 2 as the control class and class XI MIPA 5 as the experimental class. To find out the comparison between the experimental class and the control class, the average post-test results in each class will be calculated. To determine the level of effectiveness of roleplay learning, a gain score technique will be used. Based on the results of the assessment obtained from the post-test, the average of control class was 67,64 and experiment class was 71,11. Based on the calculation using the Gain Score formula with reference to the previous data, the Gain Score obtained is 0.72 which is included in the "High" criteria. Some students believed that studying would be more enjoyable if they used roleplaying. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop a roleplay learning strategy to be able to improve students\u27 cognitive abilities as seen from students\u27 English learning outcomes
Critical Discourse Analysis of Trump\u27s Tweets on the Covid-19 Pandemic
This paper presents a critical discourse analysis of Donald Trump\u27s tweets regarding COVID-19, utilizing Fairclough\u27s three-dimensional model and Halliday\u27s systemic functional linguistics to examine the language used. The analysis centers on two tweets that illustrate Trump\u27s politicization of the pandemic and the propagation of stigmatization through social media. The research examines the stylistic and formal characteristics of Trump\u27s tweets, focusing on his use of metaphorical language and blame-shifting tactics, specifically his labeling of COVID-19 as a \u27Chinese virus.\u27 The analysis also investigates discourse practices, connecting Trump\u27s rhetoric on the U.S.-China trade agreement and pandemic response to wider political narratives. The study analyzes the socio-cultural implications of Trump\u27s discourse at a macro level. It highlights how his discourse exacerbated xenophobia, nationalism, and social divisions during the global health crisis. The findings demonstrate that Trump\u27s tweets influenced public perceptions and international relations, reinforcing anti-China attitudes and contributing to a polarized public response to the pandemic. This study emphasizes the significance of a critical and reflective approach to political communication, particularly during times of crisis. It also offers insights into the creation and dissemination of ideological narratives in the digital era

The research discussed in this scholarly work focuses on identity politics that has plagued the Indonesian nation due to abuses. Hubungan Shift Kerja dengan Kelelahan Kerja pada Radiografer di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Teluk Kuantan
A hospital is a health service institution that operates 24 hours a day. The service is divided into several sections, one of which is the medical support section, including radiology. Radiology workers are referred to as radiographers. In carrying out their duties, the radiographer cannot be separated from the work shift system, at the Teluk Kuantan Regional General Hospital applying morning shifts (07.00-14.00), afternoon (14.00-20.00) and night (20.00-08.00). Shift work time from morning, afternoon and evening can result in work fatigue. The purpose of this study was to see whether there is a relationship between work shifts and work fatigue on radiographers at the Teluk Kuantan Regional General Hospital. This research is a type of quantitative research that is analytic in nature with a cross sectional design through library research, field observations, questionnaires / questionnaires distributed to respondents. This research was carried out at the Radiology Institute of the Kuantan Bay Regional General Hospital from April to June 2022. The results of this study can be known by distributing questionnaires after which the data is processed using univariate and bivariate (Chi-Square) tests. Based on the bivariate test (Chi-Square) it is known that the value of p (value) = 0.003 where p (value) <0.05, meaning that there is a relationship between work shifts and the occurrence of fatigue in radiographers at the Teluk Kuantan General Hospital
The Effect of Marketing Mix on Consumer Satisfaction and Purchase Decisions on Honda Motorcycles
This study analyzes the influence of marketing strategies on consumer satisfaction and Honda motorcycle purchase decisions in Siak Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, collecting data from respondents who use Honda motorcycles through a closed questionnaire. The research was conducted in Siak Regency from September 2023 to July 2024. The data collected was processed and analyzed using statistical methods, including Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The results show that product variables have a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction and purchase decisions, while price has a significant effect only on purchase decisions. Distribution and promotion channels did not show a significant influence on either consumer satisfaction or purchase decisions. Consumer satisfaction also does not have a significant effect on purchase decisions. The conclusion of this study is that product quality and competitive prices are important factors in improving the decision to buy Honda motorcycles in Siak Regency
Authoritative Parenting and Moral Development: A Quantitative Study in Rural Indonesia
This study investigated the influence of parenting styles on children\u27s moral behavior in Pidoli Lombang Village, Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative approach using a survey method was employed, with a sample of 30 children aged 7 to 12 years selected through random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to the children\u27s parents or guardians, which assessed parenting styles (authoritative, authoritarian, and permissive) and children\u27s moral behavior. Validity and reliability tests were conducted to ensure data quality. Prerequisite tests, including the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and Levene\u27s test for homogeneity of variances, were performed before the main analysis. Descriptive statistics revealed that authoritative parenting was the most predominantly practiced style in the village. A simple linear regression analysis showed a significant positive relationship between authoritative parenting and children\u27s moral behavior, while authoritarian and permissive parenting styles exhibited negative relationships. The findings suggest that a balanced approach to parenting, combining discipline with emotional support, positively contributes to children\u27s moral development. The study highlights the importance of implementing authoritative parenting in shaping positive moral behavior in children and provides valuable insights for parents, educators, and policymakers in fostering responsible ethical behavior in children within the context of rural Indonesian communities
Editor in a Television Documentary Program Titled Compromising with the Pandemic with Tarra Budiman
This qualitative research with a descriptive approach aims to produce a television documentary program entitled "Compromising with the Pandemic with Tarra Budiman". Data collection techniques: literacy, observation, and interviews with research objects. The results of the discussion stated: (1) The author as the editor presents facts about Tarra Budiman\u27s struggle to survive economically during the pandemic; (2) Audience segmentation in this program is 13-50 years old with socio-economic status A,B,C; (3) A documentary program that lasts 13 minutes and 8 seconds with the characteristics of live record production (tapping); (4) Editor at the pre-production stage: in charge of following the process of making story ideas; (5) The editor in the production stage coordinates the cameraperson to take pictures according to the scenario that has been created, and assists the cameraperson in shooting (6) The editor in the post-production stage is responsible for constructing the course of the story according to the scenario that has been created by the producer. The conclusion of an editor is that he must be able to convey the message of a human interest documentary video with a deep message, hoping that the audience will be immersed in the story of the source
Penerapan dan Dampak Nagham Al-Qur\u27an: Perspektif Living Qur’an dan Teori Resepsi Wolfgang Iser
This research uses a qualitative method with a living Qur\u27an theory approach and Wolfgang Iser\u27s reception theory to examine the application of the Al-Qur\u27an nagham in Pasar Semerap Village. Data was collected through observation and interview methods, both secondary and primary. The main focus of this research is to explore the application of the Koran nagham in learning in the village and understand the motivation and benefits for the community. The research findings show that there is a practice of implementing Nagham science which has become an integral part of the daily life of the people of Pasar Semerap Village. The process of learning and teaching nagham Al-Qur\u27an does not only take place in educational institutions such as TPQ, but is also part of routine activities in mosques. The reception of Al-Qur\u27an nagham in this village is aesthetic and functional, which shows that reciting Al-Qur\u27an verses with nagham has become a tradition passed down from generation to generation. This practice not only reflects aesthetic values, but also functions as a way of life that continues to develop in society. In this way, the Koran nagham in Pasar Semerap Village has been transformed into a culture that lives and develops over time
Implikasi Tanda Waqaf terhadap Penafsiran Ayat Iddah dalam Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 228
This study examines the implications of waqf signs on the interpretation of the verse concerning the waiting period (iddah) for women in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 228. Waqf signs in the Qur\u27anic manuscript are not merely technical reading guides but also carry significant interpretative functions, especially in legal verses. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of the al-waqfu awlā sign in separating two distinct legal structures within the verse: the regulation of the iddah period and the prohibition of concealing pregnancy. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Primary data consist of Surah Al-Baqarah: 228 from the standard Mushaf in the narration of Ḥafṣ from ʿĀṣim, while secondary data are drawn from classical and modern exegesis, tajwīd texts, and fiqh literature. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed descriptively using thematic interpretation and semiotic analysis. The results show that the placement of the al-waqfu awlā sign directly influences the segmentation of meaning in the verse and determines the scope of the legal interpretations derived from it. The study concludes that waqf signs have epistemological value in the construction of Islamic legal exegesis
