Pemberian Hak Paten Vaksin Covid-19 Menurut Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs)
Full text linkIntellectual Property Rights, abbreviated as KI (Intellectual Property), has developed from time to time. This development was increasingly seen with the establishment of Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPs) in 1994 in the Uruguay Round. In TRIPs various IP issues are regulated, one of which is Patents. As a form of intellectual property rights, the granting of a patent by the state to a work or invention in the field of technology is an award to the inventor. These ideas can be realized in the form of processes or objects that are known and used in everyday life. All patent registrations must refer to the TRIPs that have been agreed upon by the participating countries. In 2019, a deadly virus was detected from the city of Wuhan, China, which was initially categorized as a form of pneumonia that attacks local residents. The World Health Organization (WHO) identified the virus as a new type of Corona Virus in January 2020, and gave it an official name as Corona Viruses Disease 2019 (Covid-19). Various countries have made efforts to overcome the malignancy of Covid-19, one of the efforts made is to try to find a drug or vaccine as a solution to the pandemic which is a world problem. Here, the author discusses whether the Covid-19 vaccine can be granted a patent under TRIPs and whether the patent granted is valid for the entire region or is territorial. The research method used is normative by reviewing the literature or secondary data. The conclusion from the above discussion shows that the Covid-19 vaccine can be granted a patent with a territorial application based on TRIPs
A Critical Review on Universal Grammar of Chomsky in Learning a Second language
Full text linkAs many scholars have their own viewpoints and perspectives on Chomsky\u27s universal grammar theory, this article shows recent developments in L2 learning by Chomsky. A significant turning point at the moment is Chomsky\u27s UG approach to language education, particularly its values and parameters. Many researchers argue that with SLA, UG has problems like Fries and Palmer. They say that there are linguistic variations that make it difficult to differentiate between the SLA and the first language acquisition. It is possible to further clarify what would be specifically based on in future linguistic studies by assessing the challenges, so that development will be advanced towards language learning and SLA
The Construction of Mohammad Daʻwah to Umma Al-Daʻwah in Hadiths Of Kutubus-Sittah
Full text linkIslamic Daʻwah refers to the activities of teaching Islamic Sharia and preaching to people to believe in God. Da\u27wah contains two main elements: Amar Ma\u27ruf (teaching people to do good) and Nahi Munkar (preventing humans from performing wrongdoings). A preacher will face various risks in teaching the people about Amar Ma\u27ruf Nahi Munkar. Therefore, this study was performed to explain the construction of daʻwah to Umma al-daʻwah by Rasulullah Saw, as mentioned in the content of hadiths in Kutub al-sittah concerning Daʻwah to Umma al-daʻwah. This descriptive qualitative study regarded data from hadith texts. The data were first reduced and analyzed to obtain broad conclusions. Then, data were grouped, categorized, and analyzed by using content analysis method. The hadith texts describe Mohammad Prophet\u27s Daʻwah as promoting monotheism, being gentle, polite, and avoiding wrongdoing; making things easier instead of complicating them; providing good news instead of fear-mongering messages; working collaboratively and avoiding disagreements; and gradually teaching the Sharia
Effectiveness of Showdown Strategy Games to Improve Students’ Reading Comprehension at Junior High School
Full text linkThis research is pre-experimental research that aims to determine the extent of students\u27 reading comprehension skills before and after being taught using showdown strategy games. The research methodology is a quantitative method approach. The sample of this study was 34 students of class VIII A SMP N 1 Banjarharjo. The research instrument was in the form of tests, namely pre-test and post-test. In this study, the researcher used in Indonesian KKM (kriteria ketuntasan minimal) at SMPN 1 Banjarharjo with the criteria for the KKM score of 75. Based on the pre-test reading comprehension of students before being taught using the Showdown strategy, 8.82% met the KKM criteria, and the results of the pre-test reading comprehension of students after being taught using the Showdown strategy were 76,47% fulfilling the KKM criteria.
Furthermore, the researchers also used the N-Gain formula to determine the effectiveness of the showdown strategy implementation. The results of the N-Gain calculation obtained a mean value of 68.3333. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between students\u27 reading abilities before and after being taught using showdown strategy games
Role and Function of Human Resource Management on The Performance of Correctional Officers
Full text linkLack of understanding of the function of human resource management that affects correctional officers\u27 performance at the Class IIB Detention Center, Demak. Therefore, research is needed to determine the inhibiting factors and strategies for improving officers\u27 performance. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The research was carried out at the Class IIB Detention Center, Demak. Primary data were collected through interviews and observations with the Informants of the Head of Class IIB Detention Center Demak, the Head of the Detention Center Security Unit, the Head of the Detention Service Sub-Section and the Head of the Management Sub-Section. In comparison, secondary data collects the literature on HRM and employee performance. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, where the data and information obtained will be processed through data reduction, data presentation, and data analysis. The results showed that the factors for the lack of understanding of the HRM function were lack of training and compensation, lack of supporting facilities, increased workload, and decreased motivation and soft skills of correctional officers. Several management process concepts include PDCE (Plan, Do, Check, Evaluate) and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action). However, the POAC concept is more widely used and applied because it is more suitable for each management level. Therefore, to improve the performance of correctional officers, a unique strategy is needed to be called POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling)

Principal Collaborative Leadership and Level of Job Satisfaction Among Primary School Teachers
Full text linkHeadmaster collaborative leadership is important because this practice is able to contribute to the level of teachers’ job satisfaction which is still an issue in the world of education to this day. This study was conducted to identify the collaborative leadership practices of headmasters and its relationship with to the level of teachers’ job satisfaction in Kota Tinggi, Johor. This study is a survey using a quantitative approach. The respondents of the study consisted of 226 primary school teachers. Descriptive and inferential analysis using SPSS software was used to answer the research questions. The findings showed that the level of collaborative leadership of headmasters as a whole was at a very high level (mean = 4.45, s.p. = 0.71), while the level of job satisfaction of teachers was at a very high level (mean = 4.23, s.p. = 0.71). Analysis through a Pearson Correlation test also showed that there was a significant and strong positive relationship between the collaborative leadership of Headmaster and the level of teachers’ job satisfaction (r = 0.628, p <0.01). The implication is that the Ministry of Education (MOE) needs to review the conditions for the appointment of headmasters by improving the policy of the National Professional Qualification for Educational Leaders (NPQEL) to ensure that every leader is skilled in practicing collaborative leadership. In conclusion, collaborative leadership practiced by headmasters is seen as an ideal leadership style and able to increase the level of job satisfaction of teachers
Locative prepositions “at, in, on” and translation to Vietnamese representational meaning
Full text linkStarting with the role of the reference frame under the influence of the perspective culture of the British and Vietnamese used as a cognitive premise of translation, the article presents the rationale for the procurement process on reasons, similarities, and differences in the representational meaning. The representational meaning of differences between the English locative preposition “at, in, on” and the corresponding linguistic units of Vietnamese through a particular communication context. According to the research results, when the reference object (DTQC) of the English locative position in the reference system is assimilated with the Vietnamese speaker [similar to the reference frame of the reference system], the translation semantics of the locative prepositions which is "at, in, on" is like the expression representational semantics of the corresponding units in Vietnamese. The dissimilarity of the reference frames results in different structural semantics

This problem makes monitoring and coordination run slowly. By utilizing internet technology, the author aims to develop an online management information system that computers or smartphones can access for stakeholders. This research aims to ease tasks such as progress reports and field monitoring with a database that can store soft copies of project data on one server. The analysis follows the waterfall method, requirements, design, coding, and testing in the local server, then uploads the .php index to the database server. This website application helps managers, owners, and other employees by facilitating the process of monitoring, reporting, and discussing even remotely. Using programs such as HTML, PHP, and MySQL, the author developed a website that speeds up the managerial process and creates a database server for storing digital documents. Users of this application were assessed a scale of 1 to 5: Interface design: 4.25, User-friendliness: 4.5, Facilities: 4, Access speed: 3.25, so it has an overall score of 4.25 out of 5

Full text linkRice is the primary staple food source for most of Indonesia\u27s population. Rice is a strategic commodity that is quite significant for the State\u27s social, economic, political, and even security aspects to meet food needs and sustainable self-sufficiency targets; substantial efforts are needed, namely by the quality of seeds strongly influences increasing productivity and increasing productivity and the quality of plant products. Breeding seeds through the Desa Mandiri Benih activity is one of the efforts to meet the needs of seeds and solve seed problems at the farmer level. The objectives of this study were: To analyze the influencing factors and formulate appropriate strategies for developing independent village seed breeder groups in Watang Pulu District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This research was conducted for 2 (two) months, from December 2020 to January 2021. The research sample was 8 people, including Bureaucracy, Extension and Farmer group members. The analysis used is the analysis of internal and external factors, SWOT strategy and QSPM analysis. The results showed that the internal and external factors that influenced the development of seed breeding were good production results, limited capital, increased awareness of farmers about the use of certified seeds and pests and diseases. The analysis results are three strategic priorities: Increasing seed production and establishing partnerships with seed companies, Optimizing group potential by improving captive facilities and infrastructure, and Improving coordination with relevant agencies and extension workers to facilitate the development of seed breeding.
