This study aims to analyze the determination of the selling price of red brick products from the perspective of Islamic business ethics, with a case study in Tondomulyo Hamlet, Gadungan Village, Kediri Regency, Indonesia. This study is motivated by the practice of determining selling prices that vary between buyers, which is considered to have the potential to violate the principle of justice in business ethics. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, and data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and direct documentation in the field. The results of this study indicate that the determination of the selling price of red bricks is influenced by several factors, including production costs, weather conditions, market demand, and the amount purchased. Although producers set prices based on market mechanisms and mutual agreements, there are still differences in prices between consumers, which are based on their bargaining power. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, this does not fully reflect the principles of justice (\u27adl), transparency (al-wuduh), and social responsibility (al-mas\u27uliyah). However, several producers have shown a commitment to the principle of truth (ash-shidq) and social responsibility, for example, by providing discounts for the construction of Islamic boarding schools

Politik Hukum dan Keabsahan Izin Pertambangan Nikel di Raja Ampat

Article 33, paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution mandates that the management of land, water, and natural resources be carried out within the framework of a welfare state and sustainable development, so that legal policy must ensure a balance between economic growth, social justice, and ecological preservation. However, the controversy surrounding the issuance of nickel mining permits in the Raja Ampat Islands—a marine conservation area, a center of mega-biodiversity, and a strategic tourism destination—represents a serious disharmony between the Mining and Energy Law regime and the spatial planning, coastal-small island, forestry, and environmental protection regimes. This study aims to analyze the legal politics and validity of the Raja Ampat nickel IUP in the context of normative conflicts, while also assessing the adequacy of the sectoral framework and the need for lex specialis instruments in high-value tourism areas. This study uses normative legal research with a statute, conceptual, and case approach, based on primary legal materials (1945 Constitution, Minerba Law, coastal-small island, spatial planning, and PPLH), secondary materials (literature), and limited non-legal materials (media) for the construction of a conflict chronology. The results show that there are 16 companies with nickel permits, five of which are active. Four permits were revoked because the mining area was located within a 36,600 km² geopark with protected status, was indicated to have damaged mangroves, did not have wastewater management, and/or did not have approval for the use of forest areas. PT Gag Nikel continued to operate because it was deemed to have complete permits and was located outside the geopark. These findings confirm the weak protection of the coastline as intended in Article 35(k) of Law 27/2007 and the impact of the recentralization of authority following Law 23/2014 and Law 3/2020, which reduced regional participation, the community, and FPIC, even though the Constitutional Court (Decision 37/PUU-XIX/2021) views centralization and decentralization as a continuum. The study concludes that the dominance of the downstream economic agenda has shifted the constitutional orientation of “state control” as management for and with the people; therefore, it is necessary to harmonize the hierarchy of norms and formulate special laws based on prudence, legal morality, and the involvement of local governments and traditional elders (living law) to prevent the recurrence of pollution tragedies such as the Buyat Bay case and ensure the legitimacy of the Raja Ampat ecosystem’s protection

This study aims to conduct an in-depth review of the Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kurikulum 2013 Edisi 2015, focusing on four main aspects: content, material organization, instructional presentation, and layout design. The book is designed to support the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum, which is oriented towards a scientific approach and the development of students\u27 character. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, with content analysis techniques that allow the researcher to identify the strengths and weaknesses from both pedagogical and visual perspectives. The analysis results indicate that although this book adheres to the standard basic competencies set out in the curriculum, several significant weaknesses exist. In terms of content, some material is considered less relevant to the socio-cultural context of Indonesian students. Regarding organization, the sequence and continuity between chapters are not fully logical or progressive. The presentation of the material also tends to be less interactive and one-directional, with limited variation in media or methods of delivery. From a visual and design perspective, the book does not have an optimized reading comfort, such as font selection, the layout of images and texts, and the quality of illustrations. This affects students\u27 reading interest and comprehension. Therefore, updates and more contextual and communicative developments are necessary to make the book more suitable for the characteristics of current MA students and the demands of the competency-based curriculum. This study concludes that, although the book has met some of the basic elements of the curriculum, a comprehensive revision is needed, particularly in strengthening the relevance of the content, the connection between topics, variation in presentation methods, and improvements in visual design. These updates are crucial to ensure that the book serves as a teaching tool and encourages students\u27 active participation, understanding, and engagement in the Arabic learning process in a holistic and meaningful way

A Cross-Sectional Study of the Relationship Between BMI and Menstrual Cycle Regularity in Women of Reproductive Age in Pamekasan

Obesity is increasingly recognized as a significant determinant of women’s reproductive health, particularly in relation to menstrual cycle irregularities. This cross-sectional study aimed to examine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and menstrual cycle regularity among women of reproductive age in Pamekasan, Indonesia. A total of 113 respondents aged 18–45 years were selected through simple random sampling. BMI data were obtained through anthropometric measurements, while menstrual cycle patterns were assessed using structured questionnaires. The study identified a notable trend: the likelihood of menstrual disturbances increased with higher BMI classifications. Women classified as overweight and obese experienced a higher prevalence of irregular menstrual cycles compared to those with normal BMI. These findings highlight the potential influence of excess body weight on hormonal regulation and ovulatory function. In rural settings like Pamekasan, where the prevalence of obesity is rising, this study emphasizes the need to integrate weight management into reproductive health programs. Targeted interventions through community education, nutritional counseling, and primary care integration could play a vital role in improving reproductive outcomes and reducing the burden of menstrual disorders

Discovering the Presence of Fathers: A Study on Fathers’ Involvement in Childcare in Madiun Residency

The evolving understanding of fatherhood has drawn increasing scholarly attention to paternal involvement as a key dimension of child development. In Indonesia, cultural expectations and economic pressures often restrict fathers’ direct participation in daily childcare, raising questions about how they negotiate their presence and involvement under such conditions. This study explores the nature of father involvement in the Madiun Residency, addressing the gap in understanding how limited physical time may be balanced by the quality of interaction. Using a mixed-methods design, quantitative data on the amount of daily father–child interaction were combined with qualitative interviews exploring fathers’ perceptions, emotional engagement, and caregiving styles. The analysis examined how time and quality relate to children’s developmental outcomes. The findings indicate that while physical interaction time is relatively limited, quality engagement plays a crucial role in supporting emotional and social development, whereas physical development correlates more directly with time spent together. Three typologies of fathering have been identified: permissive, democratic, and democratic–permissive. Each typology represents a distinct approach to paternal involvement and responsiveness, particularly within the constraints of time. The study concludes that effective paternal involvement in contemporary Indonesian families extends beyond the dimension of duration and is better understood through the quality, emotional resonance, and intentionality of fathers’ interactions with their children. These insights have practical implications for family education and policy initiatives aimed at strengthening meaningful father–child relationships

This study explores the use of metaphors and idioms in Wayang, a traditional Javanese art form, and its potential to convey Islamic character values. The research analyzes five popular Wayang plays, namely Banjaran Noroyono, Banjaran Bima, Wiratha Parwa, Wahyu Makutha Rama, and Babat Wanamerta, to identify and categorize various metaphorical and idiomatic expressions. The study employs a qualitative approach using an inductive method that involves the observation of Wayang performances, examination of corresponding manuscripts, and systematic documentation of metaphorical and idiomatic structural units. The analysis revealed 52 patterns of metaphors and idioms encompassing figurative, personification, simile, verbal, phrase, sentence, and adjectival idioms. These expressions convey a wide range of meanings, from descriptive phenomena and social values to complex concepts, such as hedonism, pessimism, and domestic issues. Moreover, metaphors and idioms reflect diverse character traits, including responsibility, courage, patriotism, honesty, and humility, which align with Islamic teachings. This study highlights the potential of Wayang metaphors and idioms to enrich dialogue between Javanese culture and Islamic values, fostering tolerance, inclusivity, and cultural preservation in the era of globalization. Despite the limitations of focusing on the five selected plays, the research underscores the significance of harmonizing religious and cultural values to promote a more civilized society
