SPEAKING ANXIETY LEVEL OF EFL STUDENTS AT TENTH GRADE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 2 LUBUK SIKAPING
Get PDFThis research has been done because the researcher found some problems in speaking at the tenth grade at SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping. The first problem was the students nervous when they were asked to speak up. The second problem was the students had lack of confidence. The third problem was the students had a felt panic when their teacher gave test. The last problem was the students felt afraid the teacher inform the score of the meeting. This study aimed to find out the speaking anxiety level at tenth grade SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping.The design of this research was a descriptive quantitative research.The population of this research were tenth grade students that consist of 134 students. The students were divided into four classes.The researcher took 25 % of the population by using random sampling technique to determine the sample because the population is more than one hundred students and there are 34 students of this research. To collect the data, researcher used questionnaire to find out speaking anxiety level of the students.The result researcher found the data there were 3 components of speaking anxiety. The consist of communication apprehension, test anxiety and fear of negative evaluation. It was found that 89 total score of the students had moderately low anxiety level in communication apprehension. Then 94 total score of the students had moderate anxiety level in test anxiety. The last result found that 88 total score of the students had moderately low anxiety level in fear of negative evaluation. In conclusion, the students speaking anxiety level at the tenth grade at SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping based on those three components above was 90 total score which mean the students anxiety level in speaking was in moderate level

Get PDFThe research that has been carried out aims to find out how much influence the Brand Image and Product Quality have on the Interest in Buying Xiaomi Products. In this study, the author utilizes primary data that has been obtained from the results of research by distributing questionnaires or a list of structured statements and answered directly by respondents. In this research, the population is STIE Haji Agus Salim Students, Bukittinggi, which numbered 396 people. For sampling, Slovin formula is used, so that the sample obtained is 80 people and given a questionnaire, then the data is processed using SPSS version 17 and the stages of testing instruments in this study used testing validity and reliability testing using binary logistic regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that Brand Image and Product Quality have a positive and significant effect on Buying Interest Xiaomi Products. While Product Quality is the most dominant variable that influences Buying Interest.

Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to determine and analyze customer perceptions about the conversion of conventional Nagari Bank to Islamic Nagari Bank, as well as to analyze the obstacles that occur when conventional Nagari Bank converts to Bank Nagari Syariah. The research method is field research (field research), data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation and data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis methods.
The results showed that the dominant perceptions of Bank Nagari customers supported and loyal to the decision of Bank Nagari to convert to Sharia so that they could apply the Minangkabau philosophy. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by Bank Nagari are from the internal side such as the readiness of human resources, the era of digitalization or the digital ecosystem and it is not easy to provide products that have significant changes, from the external side such as the spread of the corona virus, the impact of the trade war between the United States and China and different views from Public.
 
CHARACTER VALUES ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ ENGLISH HANDBOOK THINK GLOBALLY ACT LOCALLY

The concept of national character building refers to an effort to build nation’s character as stated in National Education system Decree Number 20 of 2003 chapter 3. National education aims to develop life skill and good character building of human. Thus, as compulsory and newly published handbook with regards to the implication of 2013 Curriculum, the ninth grade students’ handbook Think Globally Act Locally should promote character values. This study aimed at exploring character values promoted in the handbook. The document analysis as one of branches in qualitative method is used in this study. The finding of this study reveals that the handbook has already promoted national character building

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the increase in mathematics learning outcomes through the application of pair check type cooperative learning in class VI students of SD Negeri 05 Koto Baru Simalanggang for the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year for 4 months. The subjects of this study were 15 grade students of SDN 05 Koto Baru Simalanggang for the 2018/2019 academic year. The instruments used in the collection of this study were teacher activity observation sheets, student observation sheets, and tests. Based on the data analysis, the classical completeness percentage was 73% in the first cycle and 93% in the second cycle. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there has been an increase in Mathematics Learning Outcomes through the application of Pair Check Type Cooperative Learning in class VI students of SD Negeri 05 Koto Baru Simalanggang for the 2018/2019 academic year

This study aims to describe the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of 06 Mungka elementary school through the application of Brain Gym in the 2019/2020 school year. Research is a classroom action research study consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Based on the analysis of data from cycle I and cycle II it can be concluded that an increase in mathematics learning outcomes for fourth grade students of 06 Mungka Elementary School through the application of brain gym in the 2019/2020 school year
STUDI PENERAPAN HANDOUT PADA STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE KNOWLEDGE SHARING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 4 LEMBANG JAYA
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the results of mathematics learning for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Lembang Jaya through the application of handouts to the active learning strategies of knowledge sharing type better than without handouts. The hypothesis in this study is the results of mathematics learning for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Lembang Jaya by applying handouts to the active learning strategies of knowledge sharing type better than without handouts. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The population in this study was eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Lembang Jaya who were enrolled in the 2016/2017 school year. The sample in this study was class VIII.B as an experimental class with 25 students, and class VIII.A as a control class with 25 students. The data collection in this study used a test of learning outcomes in the form of 5 question items. Analysis of student learning outcomes data obtained tcount = 1.712 and ttable = 1.676, the hypothesis is accepted at the 95% confidence level. It can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Lembang Jaya by applying handouts to the active learning strategies of knowledge sharing are better than without handouts

This research is a development research with a 4-D product development model. This model consists of 4 stages of development, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Desseminate or adapted into a 4-P model namely Definition, Design, Development and Dissemination ". After the modules and research instruments were designed, they were validated by two validators. A valid constructivist-based Mathematics Research Module 1 at the University of Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin (UMMY) Solok.
 
PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA PADA SD NEGERI 04 TAEH TAHUN PELAJARAN 2019/2020
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to describe students' perceptions of mathematics at SD Negeri 04 Taeh in the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is descriptive research. Respondents in this study were students of SD Negeri 04 Taeh in the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 30 people. The conclusions that can be drawn in the study are 1) students have a positive perception of mathematics subjects at SD Negeri 04 Taeh in the academic year 2019/2020 amounting to 33.33%; 2) students have negative perceptions of mathematics subjects at SD Negeri 04 Taeh for the 2019/2020 academic year of 66.67%; 3) the average student perception of the teacher in teaching mathematics was 65.33 with a negative perception category, 4) the average student perception of mathematics material was 57.14 with a negative category; 5) the average student's perception of the benefits of learning mathematics is 78.86 with a positive categor
