Re-Evaluation of DDH Risk Factors in Helena Rehabilitation Center-Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Purpose: Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) comprises a spectrum of abnormalities from hip instability to frank dislocation, Hip ultrasonography prior to femoral head ossification, is recognized as an early diagnostic tool for DDH. It is safe and non-invasive procedure, keeping those babies less than 6 months of age away from radiation hazard.
Subjects and Methods: From august 2021 until august 2022, we investigated 534 babies [1068 hips] by ultrasound depending on Graf method to identify DDH types. All included infants were in between 6 weeks- 6 months of age and referred due to have high risk factors. The data was analyzed by using the SPSS, version 28 and Chi- square test of association was used to compare the proportions.
Results: On the bases of examining 534 babies [with high-risk groups] by ultrasound of hip, about 50.94 % of them were shown to have different types of DDH while 48.06% were normal, bilateral cases were > unilateral cases and Lt. hip >Rt. Hip were affected. Significant association was found between DDH family history (86%), breech presentation (52%)and swaddling (12%).
Conclusions: It is crucial to establish the principle of selected screening programs for early detection of DDH in our society and to identify the incidence and associated risk factors for DDH in high-risk group babies between the ages of six weeks and six months in Erbil city of Kurdistan region-Iraq
The Role of Plantosemic Metaphors in the Conceptualization of the Males in Ekegusii: A Cognitive Linguistic Approach
Plants are fundamental in the transference of semantic aspects that are helpful in structuring maleness in society. As a result, plantosemic metaphors which enhance conceptualization of omosacha (a man) are ubiquitous in Ekegusii. This study employed conceptual mappings to evaluate Ekegusii plantosemic metaphors. The study adopted descriptive research design. First, an interview schedule was utilised to establish the terms used to describe men in Ekegusii from 48 Ekegusii native respondents purposively sampled using the criterion of gender. The collected terms were then subjected to the Metaphor Identification Procedure Vrije Universiteit (MIPVU) in which four annotators undertook the MIPVU procedure. Through MIPVU, ten metaphors were identified. The study then selected three metaphors that describe a man as a plant hence the Ekegusii plantosemic metaphors for analysis. The study reveals that Ekegusii plantosemic metaphors are critical in validating the culturally assigned roles to men among Abagusii. Moreover, the principle of conceptual mappings is useful in divulging critical issues concerning gender relations between men and women in Gusii. The paper concludes that metaphor is a valuable tool of communication and should be explained using the Cognitive Linguistics framework

FACTORS INFLUENCING THE INCIDENCE OF ANEMIA AMONG ADOLESCENT GIRLS IN THE TALISE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER WORK AREA
Anemia is a condition characterized by a lower-than-normal number of red blood cells or hemoglobin (Hb) levels in the blood, specific to age and gender groups. Normal Hb levels differ between males and females, with anemia defined as Hb levels below 12 g/dL for females and below 13.5 g/dL for males. The highest incidence of anemia was recorded in the working area of the Talise Public Health Center, with a prevalence of 21.36%. This study aims to identify the factors influencing anemia among adolescent girls, focusing on sleep quality, Fe tablet consumption, knowledge, and menstrual patterns in the working area of the Talise Public Health Center. This research utilized a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design. The population comprised adolescent girls from all senior high schools within the Talise Public Health Center's working area, with a total sample of 84 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and multivariate techniques, with a significance level of p ≤ 0.05. The results indicate significant relationships between sleep quality (p = 0.005), knowledge (p = 0.035), Fe tablet consumption (p = 0.014), and menstrual cycle (p = 0.007) with the incidence of anemia in the Talise Public Health Center, Palu City. The study underscores the importance of disseminating information about the role of good sleep quality for adolescent girls, integrating nutritional health and anemia education into school curricula to raise awareness among students, and providing outreach to adolescent girls and their parents about the benefits of consuming Fe tablets to prevent anemia.

Oil Price Fluctuation And Exchange Rate In Nigeria: Is There A Volatility Transmission Effect
Over the period 1980-2022, we examined the transmission effect of oil prices on Nigeria's exchange rate. E-GARCH (Exponential GARCH) model is employed in this study. We used Augmented Dickey Fuller to determine a unit root, integrating exchange rates, crude oil prices, external reserves, GDP, inflation, and interest rates to one I(1) and zero I(0). We used Johansen Co-integration to determine long-term relationships. Interest rates, inflation, and crude oil prices all correlated positively with each other. A statistically insignificant result is shown by the variance equation, indicating there is no correlation between crude oil prices and exchange rates. The Nigerian exchange rate is not affected by volatility transmission or leverage due to fluctuations in crude oil prices. According to the study, governments should take monetary policy measures to stabilize exchange rates during unpredictable oil price fluctuations. It is necessary to adjust the naira exchange rate when oil prices fluctuate

The logistics industry plays a crucial role in the economic development of any nation, including India. As globalization and advancements in technology continue to reshape the logistics landscape, it becomes imperative for India to adapt to these changes. One key aspect is the need to enhance skills within the logistics workforce to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry. This research paper explores the emerging trends in logistics in India and highlights the significance of education in developing skilled professionals to drive the industry forward. This study outlines future growth potential in India's logistics sector. A mismatch between a skilled individual and the needs of the industry leads to inefficient corporate operations. To address this pressing issue, the government of India devised a solution known as Industry-Academia partnership, which involved taking a novel step in the Indian education system by introducing an apprenticeship undergraduate programme. Previously, education and employment were separated, but today it will be all around development of young generation students as well as the nation's economy
