This study aims to examine the conformity of the practice of toll fee additions by drivers to passengers of the Medan–Panyabungan travel route with the provisions of Fatwa DSN-MUI No. 112/DSN-MUI/IX/2017 concerning the ijarah contract. This research employs an empirical approach through data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used refers to the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that the addition of toll fees can be justified according to Islamic law (sharīʿah) if it is communicated beforehand and mutually agreed upon. However, there are practices where toll fees are added unilaterally without prior notice, which potentially leads to gharar (uncertainty) in the contract. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a clear standard operating procedure (SOP) and ensure transparent communication from the outset so that the implementation of the ijarah contract in transportation services complies with sharīʿah principles and avoids future disputes

Factors Affecting Dividend Policy Are Influenced By Profitability, Liquidity, And Leverage Using Gcg As A Moderating Variable In The Financial Sector In Indonesia

    Get PDF
This study investigates the effect of profitability, liquidity, and leverage on dividend policy in the Indonesian banking sector, with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as a moderating variable. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilizes multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) on secondary data derived from the annual financial reports of ten banks with the highest dividend ratios listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2023–2024. The findings indicate that profitability, liquidity, and leverage do not have a significant influence on dividend policy. Moreover, GCG does not exhibit a moderating effect on the relationship between the independent variables and dividend policy. These results highlight that dividend policy in Indonesian banks is more strongly determined by industrial regulations, expansion strategies, and macroeconomic conditions rather than internal financial indicators. The study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence from the banking sector in emerging markets and offers practical insights for policymakers, investors, and corporate managers in formulating dividend distribution strategies

    Get PDF
The diversity of learners as individuals is one of the phenomena explored in the field of educational psychology. One of the numerous factors examined in the study of individual differences is personality. However, because each theorist interprets this concept differently, there is no one universal definition that defines what the term "personality" means. The aim of this article is to identify the various personality theories used in the earlier literature as well as to provide a synthesis of earlier research that focuses on personality factors as they relate to individual differences in the context of English language learning. With narrative literature review design, a number of prior studies based on keywords linked to personality in the context of EFL (English as foreign language) learning were collated and reviewed. The findings of the review of the literature revealed that the majority of earlier research characterize learners' personalities using the idea of personality traits. The study examines students in the context of the big 5 personality traits in a broad sense. The other studies, in other hand, classified personality as introverts or extroverts in a more specific sense. There are also a few studies that employed a different framework to define personality factors in the context of EFL learning. In conclusion, this varied definition of personality suggests that researchers have contributed by exploring the role of personality in the EFL learning process from many perspectives
