    Student Management in Elementary School

    No full text
Education is an important aspect that requires good management so that educational goals are achieved. In an effort to shape the character of students, the role of parents is very important, but it needs to be supported by formal education at school. Student management is an important part of school management to create an orderly, regular, and comfortable learning process. To achieve the goals of school education, student management includes four activities: new student admissions, learning progress activities, guidance and discipline coaching, and observation. Student management generally functions as a place for students to develop as much as possible in terms of social, individuality, aspirations, needs, and other potentials. This study aims to describe the influence of student management on student learning outcomes. By using the literature review method and reviewing six Sinta-accredited articles in the last five years, it was found that student management has a significant effect on student learning achievement. The role of effective student management includes patient management from registration, during the learning process, to graduation—which makes the teaching and learning process more focused so that it produces high-achieving students. However, the success of this management is also influenced by parental involvement; without their support, the achievement of learning goals cannot be fully realized

    No full text
Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren) are traditional Islamic educational institutions that have played a vital role in shaping the character, spirituality, and intellectuality of Muslims in Indonesia. However, technological advances and current social transformations require Islamic boarding schools to adapt quickly to remain relevant and contribute to modern society. Technological transformation in the Society 5.0 era encourages all sectors, including Islamic education, to integrate advanced technology with humanitarian values. As educational institutions based on Islamic tradition, Islamic boarding schools face significant challenges and opportunities in responding to the demands of an increasingly digitalized and automated society. This article discusses how Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School, as a modern Islamic boarding school, adapts to the Society 5.0 paradigm by developing a curriculum that combines traditional values and technological innovation with the principles of digital learning and a human-centered society as idealized in the Society 5.0 concept. Using an exploratory qualitative approach, this study relies on interview data, documentation, and literature review with a comparative analysis of Deguchi's Society 5.0 theory and Bernie Trilling's 21st-century skills theory. This study shows that Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School has made significant innovations in designing a curriculum that prioritizes life skills, digital literacy, and comprehensive Islamic character formation. This is realized through the implementation of the Tarbiyatul Muallimin Al-Islamiyah (TMI) curriculum which is based on the values of Maqashid al-Syari'ah, integration of digital technology, and strengthening 21st-century competencies

The increasing need for health services in the community should be balanced with the availability of quality health facilities. Hospitals as health service facilities must improve the quality of their services in order to become the hospital of choice for the community. This condition is in accordance with the increasing expectations of the community for the quality of nursing services during hospitalization. The quality of nursing services felt by patients if in accordance with their expectations, then the patient will feel satisfied. Conversely, if the service felt is not in accordance with the expectations or hopes of the patient, then dissatisfaction is felt towards the nursing services. The purpose of Community Service through training in the application of the Intentional ROUNDS method is to increase patient satisfaction with nursing services. This Community Service method is a combination of Advocacy, Building an Atmosphere and Empowering Inpatient Nurses. The results of Community Service show an increase in nurses' knowledge about the application of the intentional ROUNDS method in providing nursing services. The average pre-test value is 78.3 while the average post-test value is 100. The results of the dependent T-test obtained P = 0.000 so that there is a significant difference in knowledge before and after training. The average patient satisfaction level before nurse training was 85.84 and after receiving training was 98.04. Based on the dependent T-test, the p value was obtained = 0.001, so there is a difference in patient satisfaction between before and after nurse training using the intentional ROUNDS method. Suggestion: Hospitals should create an Intentional ROUNDS method training program for nurses in other inpatient rooms so that it can be applied in providing services to patients so that the quality of service and patient satisfaction increase

    No full text
Introduction: One of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of infections in healthcare facilities was through proper handwashing. Correct hand hygiene reduced the number of pathogenic microorganisms on the skin, which often acted as a transmission medium for infectious diseases. The World Health Organization (WHO) established the "Five Moments for Hand Hygiene," which included: before patient contact, before aseptic procedures, after exposure to bodily fluids, after patient contact, and after contact with the patient’s surroundings (WHO, 2009). Methods: This community service activity provided education to emergency department (ED) staff by delivering materials on nosocomial infection prevention and demonstrating proper handwashing techniques. The evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests. Prior to the demonstration, 8 out of 12 ED staff were able to correctly demonstrate the proper handwashing technique, while 4 followed the demonstration based on the guidance of the community service team. After the demonstration, all ED staff were able to perform handwashing correctly. In the pre-test, 9 out of 12 participants scored in the “good” category (70–100), while 3 scored “fair” (50–60). In the post-test, all participants scored in the “good” category. Conclusion: The increase in knowledge contributed positively to proper handwashing behavior. However, continuous education and practical approaches were necessary to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice. Recommendation: Regular education sessions and comprehensive monitoring of hand hygiene compliance among healthcare workers should be implemented

At a macro level, demand for workers with data analysis skills has skyrocketed. The Future of Jobs report from the World Economic Forum consistently places analytical thinking and big data analytics as the most needed skills by global industries. Data literacy is one of the crucial competencies that young people must have in today's digital era, but initial understanding still varies among vocational students. This community service activity aims to improve students' data analysis competencies at SMKN 64 Jakarta through a socialization approach and interactive workshops. Based on the results of the pre-test on 33 students, it was found that the initial level of understanding was in the "Quite Understand" category with an average score of 63.03%, where 27% of students were in the low understanding category. After the interactive workshop which included hands-on practice using Google Sheets, the post-test results showed a significant increase. The average student understanding score increased to 77.80% with the "Understand" category. Drastically, this activity succeeded in reducing the number of students in the low understanding category from 9 people (27%) to only 1 person (3%). This proves that the hands-on workshop method is very effective in significantly improving students' data analysis competencies and reducing the understanding gap. This activity also succeeded in fostering students' interest in the importance of data analysis in academic and work contexts, as well as providing a foundation of skills that can be further developed in the future

Brand ownership is a crucial form of legal protection for the continued business identity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). MSMEs are strategic pillars in Indonesia's national economic structure. According to data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (2024), MSMEs contribute more than 60% to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employ approximately 97% of the national workforce. Despite their significant contribution, MSMEs still face various structural challenges. Unfortunately, most MSMEs in Indonesia do not yet understand the importance of trademark rights and lack the technical skills to register them digitally through the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) system. This Community Service activity aims to improve MSME legal literacy through online trademark registration training and assistance. This activity involved 25 business actors who are members of the JAWARA Depok Community, with methods that included counseling, hands-on practice using the DJKI platform, and post-training assistance. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests using a Likert scale. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding scores from an average of 3.29 to 3.67, a 0.39-point increase. These findings demonstrate that a practice-based educational approach and personal mentoring are effective in improving trademark literacy among MSMEs. This activity also strengthens the synergy between higher education institutions and the community in realizing legally and digitally resilient MSMEs

Quality management is essential for the implementation of TPA. Effective and efficient management of Child Care Centers (TPA) is essential to ensure that children's educational needs are met in line with their growth and development, even when parents are busy working. Discussing the quality of early childhood education (PAUD) learning, of course, cannot be separated from its main activity, namely the learning management process (planning, implementation, and assessment) that takes place or is carried out at the PAUD institution concerned. PAUD management must be managed professionally and modernly. Quality PAUD implementation is essential to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of management. This ensures that children's educational needs are met in line with their growth and development, even when parents are busy working. Discussing the quality of early childhood education (PAUD) learning, of course, cannot be separated from its main activity, namely the learning management process (planning, implementation, and assessment) that takes place or is carried out at the PAUD institution concerned. Implementing good and effective classroom management at the PAUD level is crucial because at any time, children's attitudes and actions tend to change according to their growth and development process, the character they form, and their increasingly broad social circle. In order for children to become educated individuals, it is essential for teachers to carry out operational and managerial activities to shape their behavior, actions, attitudes, mentality, and emotions. Furthermore, teachers also need to carry out what is known as the management function

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are Islamic educational institutions that play a role in providing comprehensive formal Islamic religious education while also providing opportunities for students or santri (Islamic students) to learn in an environment that aligns with Islamic values. Pesantren play a crucial role as drivers of education, da'wah (Islamic outreach), and community empowerment. To ensure financial sustainability and economic independence, pesantren need to implement more transparent and accountable accounting and financial practices. This community service program aims to improve the quality of accounting records and financial reporting at the Al Hikam Islamic Boarding School Foundation through mentoring in the use of Microsoft Excel. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this activity was carried out in four stages: needs analysis, module development, training, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the needs analysis stage found that units at the Al Hikam Islamic Boarding School have been recording using Microsoft Excel, but there is no specific standard at the Pesantren level. Therefore, accounting records and financial reporting across all units are not yet uniform. The module development was carried out to construct a recording practice format that is in accordance with accounting principles. The results of the training implementation show that units at the Al Hikam Islamic Boarding School have started to use new recording practices, so that the financial reporting of the units to the Foundation has become easier to understand and easier to consolidate. This program provides a real contribution to strengthening the financial governance of Islamic boarding schools independently and sustainably

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is crucial in vocational health education, yet its application in vocational nursing schools remains partial. SMK Keperawatan Bina Medika Jakarta provides adequate facilities but lacks a risk management system based on Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) and an incident reporting culture. This community service program aimed to improve student knowledge, establish a digital incident reporting system, and institutionalize an OHS culture within the school. The program employed educational, participatory, and institutional strengthening approaches through five stages: preparation, hazard identification, counseling, technology implementation, and institutionalization. Results included a HIRARC document identifying 14 hazards (6 high, 5 medium, 3 low), an increase in student knowledge scores (from 58 to 84), and a digital reporting system via website and QR code. The previously inactive School Health Unit (UKS) was revitalized with first aid kits, a digital sphygmomanometer, and hygiene facilities. The program also produced three simulation videos, educational media, one national publication, and three intellectual property rights (IPR). The program effectively enhanced student capacity, strengthened school institutions, and fostered a sustainable safety culture, aligning with SDGs (Goals 3, 4, 8) and university performance indicators (IKU)

    No full text
Anemia is a common nutritional problem worldwide. It is a common nutritional problem worldwide, with the most at-risk groups being school children and women of childbearing age (WUS) (Nurwahidah, 2018). Anemia is characterized by lower-than-normal hemoglobin levels in red blood cells. Adolescent girls are considered anemic if their hemoglobin levels are less than 12 g/dl. Lack of iron and folic acid intake is one of the main causes of the high risk of anemia in women of childbearing age. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of adolescent girls and WUS regarding the importance of consuming iron and folic acid to prevent anemia, while also conducting hemoglobin (Hb) tests for early detection. The program was implemented at the TOBE Institute with 32 participants. This activity had five stages: pre-test, interactive education, nutritional status and Hb level examination, and post-test. The results showed that 50% of participants had normal nutritional status, 40.6% were overweight, and 9.4% were underweight. As many as 43.8% of participants were detected as anemic with an average Hb of 12.4 g/dL. There was a significant increase in participant knowledge (p-value 0.000), from an average pre-test score of 76.44 to a post-test score of 91.38. This program was effective in increasing nutritional awareness, encouraging routine Hb checks, and serving as a viable educational model to reduce the risk of anemia among women of childbearing age (WUS) and pre-elderly
