The Effect of Industrial Noise Exposure on Hypertension Incidence Among Factory Workers in Surabaya
In Surabaya, as one of Indonesia's industrial centers, many factory workers are exposed to high noise levels daily. However, specific data on the relationship between industrial noise exposure and hypertension incidence among factory workers in Surabaya is still limited. This study aims to assess the association between industrial noise exposure and hypertension among factory workers in Surabaya. This study aims to assess the association between industrial noise exposure and hypertension among factory workers in Surabaya. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical tests, such as the Chi-Square test and Spearman correlation. The Spearman correlation analysis indicates that industrial noise exposure contributes to a 62% increase in the incidence of hypertension among factory workers in Surabaya, particularly affecting women at a higher rate than men. Higher noise levels correlate with a greater risk of developing hypertension. Noise from factory machinery also increases hypertension risks more significantly among female workers and employees over 40 years old, regardless of gender.

Abstract
According to a report from the World Health Organization (WHO), the global prevalence of anemia among women of reproductive age reaches 29.9%, with iron deficiency being the primary cause (WHO, 2021). In Indonesia, according to the 2018 Riskesdas data, 23.7% of women experience anemia (Riskesdas, 2018). This study aimed to assess the acceptability and determine the macronutrient and iron content of TEPFe nuggets made from cassava, chicken liver, tempeh, and spinach. This research was an experimental study involving 30 undergraduate nutrition students from Universitas MH.Thamrin as panelist. The study evaluated product quality through hedonic quality tests (color, aroma, taste, texture) and hedonic preference tests (overall acceptability of color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall impression). A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two replications, and the data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s test to determine significant differences between treatments. The results showed that formulation F2 had the highest level of acceptability. The product contained 160 kcal of energy (7% DV), 11.90 g of protein (20% DV), 1.20 g of fat (2% DV), 27.86 g of carbohydrates (8% DV), and 18.46 mg/kg of iron (9% DV). Based on these findings, it is recommended to conduct further acceptability tests involving a larger and more diverse group of panelists, as well as perform a more comprehensive nutritional analysis.

Sepsis-3 and its Assesment Tools (Sofa and Qsofa): Historical Evolution, Clinical Utility and Criticisms
Sepsis remains a major global health problem with high morbidity and mortality. Over the past three decades, evolving consensus definitions have sought to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes. The latest definition, Sepsis-3, defines sepsis as life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection, with the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) and quick SOFA (qSOFA) as key tools. This review outlines the historical development of sepsis definitions, examines the role of SOFA and qSOFA, and summarizes their strengths and criticisms. Sepsis-3 marked a shift from inflammation-based to organ dysfunction–centered criteria. Evidence shows that SOFA is highly accurate for prognosis in intensive care, while qSOFA is useful for bedside risk stratification outside the ICU. Both outperform systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) in specificity, though SOFA requires laboratory parameters and qSOFA shows reduced sensitivity. Some authors argue SIRS should not be entirely discarded due to its early recognition value. In conclusion, Sepsis-3 advanced the standardization of sepsis definitions, yet challenges remain, and this article was written to provide a concise overview of its evolution, utility, and ongoing debates.
