Audiodescripción en clase de lenguas extranjeras: la opinión de los docentes
Get PDFNumerous studies have demonstrated the validity of different types of audiovisual translation (AVT), such as dubbing, subtitling or audio description, as a pedagogical resource for teaching foreign languages: they contribute to the development of various communicative skills and result in more motivating activities for students. However, few studies have dealt with the opinions of teachers regarding the introduction of these new didactic tools in the classroom. This exploratory study of an eminently qualitative nature aims to collect and describe the beliefs and some experiences of French and English secondary school teachers regarding the use of AVT, and specifically audio-description, in their classes. Through a questionnaire completed by 49 teachers and 4 interviews, we inquired into the teachers\u27 consideration of this accessibility modality, in order to highlight the versatility of audio description in the foreign language classroom. The results show a general lack of knowledge of this didactic resource and its potential. However, those teachers who have used it in their classes are enthusiastic and recognize its usefulness.Numerosos estudios han demostrado la validez de las diferentes modalidades de traducción audiovisual (TAV), como el doblaje, la subtitulación o la audiodescripción, como recurso pedagógico para la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras: contribuyen al desarrollo de competencias comunicativas y resultan en actividades más motivadoras para el alumnado. Sin embargo, pocos trabajos abordan las opiniones de los docentes respecto a la introducción de estas nuevas herramientas didácticas en el aula. Este estudio exploratorio de carácter eminentemente cualitativo persigue recabar y describir las creencias y experiencias de profesores de francés e inglés de secundaria respecto al uso de la TAV, y concretamente de la audiodescripción, en sus clases. A través de un cuestionario completado por 49 profesores y 4 entrevistas, indagamos en la consideración de los docentes de esta modalidad de accesibilidad, con el fin de poner en valor su versatilidad en el aula de lenguas extranjeras. Los resultados demuestran un desconocimiento general de este recurso didáctico y de su potencial. Sin embargo, aquellos docentes que la han empleado en sus clases se muestran entusiastas y reconocen su utilidad

Get PDFThis study delves into the philosophical foundations that support the assignment of rights to nature, focusing on the contributions of Andean philosophy and the philosophy of liberation. These philosophical perspectives promote an ecocentric conception that goes beyond traditional anthropocentrism, offering a vision in which nature is not only conceived as a resource, but as an entity with inherent value. This represents a paradigmatic change because it moves away from a purely utilitarian approach, but balances the relationship between nature and human beings. Through this approach, the prevailing development mentality based purely on utilitarianism and extractivism is criticized, pointing out its shortcomings and risks when sidelining the well-being of nature. In general, the study provides a brief review of the current legal framework, jurisprudential trends, and the main criticisms towards the recognition of rights to nature, while also offering a comprehensive review of the importance and challenges of considering nature as a rights-holder.Este estudio profundiza en los cimientos filosóficos que respaldan la asignación de derechos a la naturaleza, enfocándose en las contribuciones de la filosofía andina y la filosofía de la liberación. Estas perspectivas filosóficas promueven una concepción ecocéntrica que va más allá del antropocentrismo tradicional, ofreciendo una visión en la que la naturaleza no solo es concebida como un recurso, sino como una entidad con valor inherente. Esto representa un cambio paradigmático porque deja de lado una aproximación meramente utilitarista, sino que equilibra la relación entre naturaleza y ser humano. A través de esta aproximación, se critica la mentalidad predominante de desarrollo basada puramente en el utilitarismo y el extractivismo, señalando sus falencias y riesgos al marginar el bienestar de la naturaleza. En general, el estudio ofrece una breve revisión del marco legal vigente, las tendencias jurisprudenciales y las principales críticas hacia el reconocimiento de derechos a la naturaleza, a la vez, proporciona una revisión integral sobre la importancia y los desafíos de considerar a la naturaleza como titular de derechos

Get PDFL’article traça un rastre narratiu alimentat per publicacions i notícies falses a les xarxes socials durant els primers mesos de la quarantena de la COVID-19 sobre com la reducció de la contaminació causada per la quarantena suposadament tindria un efecte positiu en el medi ambient i la natura es recuperaria. L’estudi aporta llum al context del tema i observa el canvi de la retòrica a través de les matrius culturals de diversos gèneres. La discussió rau en el fet de si una imatge és capaç d’explicar una història creïble. Si aquest és el cas, quina relació hi ha entre context, veritat i retòrica i quin paper hi juga l’humor en tot això? Pel que fa a aquest tema, però, és fàcil observar com la visibilitat, que en les fake news forma part de la retòrica de la veritat, ja que el text va acompanyat d’una fotografia que representa l’esdeveniment, s’ha transformat en la crítica vernacular de la mateixa veritat. Pel que fa al material que es presenta aquí, un investigador de llegenda contemporània no pot ignorar els motius de llegenda utilitzats en les narracions visuals virals conegudes com mems.The article traces a narrative trail of social media posts and fake news in the early months of COVID-19 about how the reduction in pollution caused by the lockdown will allegedly have such a positive effect on the environment that nature will be restored. The study sheds light on this context and observes the change in rhetoric through the cultural matrices of various genres. It discusses whether an image is capable of telling a credible story. If it can, what is the relationship between context, truth and rhetoric and what role does humour play? In this article, however, the texts are accompanied by photographs depicting the events so it is easy to observe how visuality, which in fake news is part of the truth rhetoric, transforms into a vernacular critique of the truth itself. As to the material presented here, a contemporary legend researcher cannot ignore the legend motifs used in the viral visual narratives known as memes
