Medical Negligence By Doctors Resulting in Criminal Law Charges (Case Study on the Decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia No. 590 K/PID/2012)
This study investigates the legal consequences of medical negligence in Indonesia, focusing on Supreme Court Decision No. 590 K/Pid/2012 involving Dr. Wida Parama Astiti. The case centers on the death of a pediatric patient following the unsupervised administration of potassium chloride (KCl), a high-alert medication, in violation of national safety protocols. The research adopts a normative juridical approach, examining relevant statutory frameworks including Article 51 of Law No. 29 of 2004 concerning Medical Practice, Minister of Health Regulation No. 11 of 2017 on Patient Safety, and Articles 359 and 361 of the Indonesian Criminal Code. The analysis explores the application of the legal concept of culpa (negligence), particularly culpa lata (gross negligence), to determine the criminal liability of the defendant. Findings show that the failure to follow mandated medical protocols and provide direct supervision constituted a breach of professional duty, justifying the court’s custodial sentence. The study also highlights the role of systemic shortcomings in patient safety enforcement within hospital settings. This case serves as a critical reference for understanding how Indonesian law addresses gross medical negligence, setting a precedent for future litigation involving healthcare professionals. The research contributes to legal scholarship by clarifying the boundaries of professional accountability and emphasizing the need for institutional safeguards. It also provides practical recommendations for enhancing regulatory compliance and protecting patient rights through stricter enforcement of medical standards

Policy Network in Implementing the Green Open Space in Luwu Timur
In the Luwu Timur district, green open space or RTH development is typically focused in Malili district's capital, making it difficult for residents of rural areas to access it. The public's lack of involvement in the design and management of RTH, as well as its significance and advantages for the environment and general well-being, are not well known. Determining the scope of the policy network amongst stakeholders in the Open Green Space implementation is the achievement of this study. Qualitative research methodology is applied; thus, methods of gathering data include documentation, library research, interviews, and observations. Among the steps in data analysis are data reduction, data grouping, data interpretation, and conclusion formulation. The study's findings indicate that the local government of Luwu East, DLH, PUPR Service, PT CLM, PT Vale, PT Pegadaian, and Bank of Sulselbar are the official agents in the policy network. While each stakeholder has contributed initiatives to support the development of Green Open Space (RTH) in Luwu Timur District, the efficiency of the policy network remains subject to further assessment based on clearly defined performance indicators. The Bupati Luwu East decision was the foundation for the network's SK No. 200/D-10/V/Year 2022 structure, although it lacked specifics about roles and responsibilities
Inhibiting and Supporting Factors that Influence Caregiver Performance
The Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) is a civil service educational institution that aims to form cadres of state civil servants with integrity, discipline, and professionalism. As a long-term government effort to support bureaucratic reform, IPDN provides free education to selected cadets, who after graduating are immediately appointed as civil servants. This study aims to evaluate the performance of caregivers, especially Kasat Dharma, in forming the personality of cadets at IPDN South Sulawesi Campus. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants were determined through purposive sampling techniques that included caregivers, cadets, and campus structural officials. The results of the study showed that the performance of Kasat Dharma was quite good in terms of coaching, although there were still obstacles in interpersonal communication and coordination between units. Based on Herzberg's two-factor theory, it was found that supporting factors for Kasat Dharma's performance include intrinsic motivation such as moral responsibility, pride in the results of coaching, and high dedication. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the limited number of caregivers, minimal training, lack of supporting facilities, and a less than optimal coordination system. The combination of these two factors affects the stability and effectiveness of the overall performance of caregivers. Therefore, improving the work environment and strengthening the support system needs to be done in order to maintain and improve the performance of caregivers in a sustainable manner
