A Study of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Environment
Get PDFThis study examines the persistent issue of sexual harassment of women in the workplace in India, despite the existence of legislative measures such as the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013. The research aims to understand the factors contributing to the continued prevalence and underreporting of sexual harassment in both formal and informal sectors, assess the effectiveness of current policies and legal frameworks, and provide recommendations for improving workplace safety for women. Using a descriptive research approach, the study draws upon primary data from government reports and legislation, as well as secondary data from academic articles, books, and reports by non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Content analysis is employed to evaluate various documents and publications to understand how sexual harassment is defined, reported, and addressed in different workplaces. The findings reveal that cultural and societal attitudes, inadequate implementation of laws, and lack of awareness among women about their rights and available complaint mechanisms contribute significantly to the persistence of sexual harassment. The study concludes that there is a critical need for comprehensive education, awareness, and stronger legal and organizational frameworks to effectively address workplace harassment, ensuring a safer and more inclusive environment for women
Examining the Challenges and Opportunities of Managing Public Services in a Complex and Interconnected World
Get PDFThe paper aims at discussing extensive and diverse problems and opportunities as the phenomena of globalization shape the management of public services. This study uses surveys and interviews with the target public managers to identify research questions such as the following major challenges: political instability, economic limitations, technology change, and social disparities. The conclusions reached prove that there is great potential for digital improvement of administrative productivity and citizens’ satisfaction, but equally grand are the issues of cybersecurity, social inclusiveness, and allocation of resources. in the same regard political instability and regulatory restraints hinder strategic planning and advancement, while persistent social disparity demands efficient stakeholder management. Economic conditions, as much as they may restrain, are instrumental in spurring creativity; the case should therefore be made for sustainability analyses that combine financial realism with inventive solutions. This research points out that the development of sound and coherent theories and coherent theories in the teaching and practice of public service management, which inhibits technology adoption, social justice, political stability and fiscal viability. The research presents crucial information for policy makers and public manager interested in enhancing the anti-shock and adaptive mechanisms within the public service delivery systems in the contemporary complex world
Exploring the Lived Experiences of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College Students in the New Learning Environment
Get PDFThis study aims to explore the lived experiences of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College students in facing the new learning environment triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to understand the challenges faced by students during online learning and the coping strategies they used. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with ten students enrolled in the Bachelor of Hospitality Management program. Thematic analysis results showed that students faced significant challenges such as limited high-speed internet access, mental health issues, and poor time management. On the other hand, students developed several coping strategies such as self-explanation, technological skill enhancement, and self-realization to overcome the difficulties faced. This study provides important insights into the impact of the pandemic on students' learning process and the importance of coping strategies in the new learning environment

Application of STAD-Type Cooperative Model in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Mathematics Learning in Class V SDN I East Suwawa Regency Bone Bolango
Get PDFThis study investigates the impact of the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) cooperative learning model on improving mathematics learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Suwawa Timur, Bone Bolango Regency. Conducted as classroom action research, the study involved 28 students and was carried out over five sessions divided into two cycles. Initial observations revealed low student performance in mathematics, with only 25% of students meeting the minimum competency criteria (KKM). Following the implementation of the STAD model, significant improvements were observed, with student completion rates increasing from 54% in Cycle I to 89% in Cycle II. These findings highlight the effectiveness of the STAD cooperative learning model in fostering student engagement and improving academic performance in elementary mathematics. The study also contributes to existing literature by providing evidence of the model's applicability in rural educational settings, emphasizing the importance of interactive and collaborative learning strategies in enhancing student outcomes in mathematics

An Analysis of Factors Affecting the Successful Implementation of Educational Policies in Developing Countries
Get PDFThis research sought to evaluate the variables influencing the successful implementation of educational policies in underdeveloped countries, with a particular emphasis on Ghana. In this study, a quantitative research approach was taken, and data were gathered through the administration of a survey to a sample size of one hundred fifty policymakers and instructors in Ghana. In order to evaluate the data, both descriptive and inferential statistics were utilized. According to the conclusions, there is a favorable correlation between successful implementation and the governmental, economic, social, and societal variables as well as technological factors. The strongest associations were identified for technological and cultural variables, which suggests that expenditures in technological advancement and cultural awareness can have a beneficial effect on the implementation of educational policies. According to the findings of the multiple regression analysis, all of the variables had a substantial favorable impact on the successful implementation of the plan, with the technological elements demonstrating the strongest effect. According to the findings of the research, in order for educational policies to be successfully implemented in developing countries, a holistic strategy that takes into consideration all of the important variables is required. By considering these variables, policymakers in developing countries will be able to improve the efficacy of educational programs and encourage egalitarian access to education. Towards Inclusive Education in Cambodia: Overcoming Barriers and Embracing Diversity
Get PDFThis study explores the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing inclusive education in Cambodia, focusing on children with disabilities. Despite the Cambodian government’s commitment to inclusive education, significant barriers remain, including inadequate infrastructure, limited funding, insufficient teacher training, and pervasive negative societal attitudes towards disability. Using a mixed-methods research approach, this study examines these barriers by conducting surveys and interviews with teachers and parents in both urban and rural areas of Cambodia. The findings reveal that while physical infrastructure and funding deficits are significant obstacles, there are successful models of inclusive education that demonstrate the potential for progress. These models, highlighted by programs implemented by organizations like Save the Children, indicate that with proper investment and support, inclusive education can enhance academic and social outcomes for all students. The study concludes with recommendations for increasing investment in infrastructure, expanding teacher training, and fostering positive societal attitudes towards disability to scale up successful inclusive education initiatives across Cambodia
