Investigating the Factors Affecting Women's Political Participation in Nepal: A Qualitative Study
Get PDFThis research aims to examine the factors that have influenced women political participation in Nepal using qualitative approach by conducting case study interviews with Females that have served in political leadership capacity. The study shows that legal reforms in particular the ones in the region are still are limited in addressing gender equity, as deeply rooted cultural practices as well as perceived economic realities still confine women to the lower tiers of political activity. The work specifies such obstacles as the obvious ones, such as gender prejudices, lack of funds, and violence, and others, including support from a mentor and relatives, financial and institutional support. These work somewhat shifts the dominant notions of political participation showing that an intersectional approach should encompass all the identities and statuses connected to gender. The study also points out the inadequacy of the quotas in stating that though they enhance tokenism, they require other structural and cultural changes for genuine Girl Empowerment. Overall, this research informs theoretical debates of women and politics and provides policy prescriptions on how a better future can be created for women’s political involvement in Nepal. The findings therefore have potential lessons for policy makers, advocates and scholars involved in feminists struggles for women representation in politics internationally
Java and Bolaang Mongondow Social Relationship
Get PDFThis study aims to determine the Social Relations of the Javanese and Bolang Mongondow ethnic communities. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Collecting data on research through direct interviews with informants. The results of this study show that the Javanese and Bolaang Mongondow ethnic communities have had a close relationship through various media such as trade, migration, and various phenomena in the community. The nature of harmony in this multi-ethnicity causes inter-ethnic life to have an open, democratic, tolerant nature, and a willingness to coexist in differences. The relationship between Javanese ethnicities and Bolaang Mongondow is a miniature that has social harmony in Indonesia from the reality of a heterogeneous society that is often hit by waves of social disintegration
Students’ Satisfaction on Housing Services: Basis of Management Plan in the New Normal
Get PDFThe study was conducted to benefit the student boarders, dormitory or boarding house owners, and proprietors to create awareness of the needs and problems of the student boarders of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College, Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Thus, the study aimed to create a plan to improve the management and services of the students. The study employed a descriptive correlational and developmental research design where the profile, satisfaction level on various services were gathered, and a dormitory or boarding house management plan was formulated. The result shows that most of the respondents were single, bed spacers, and staying in dormitories or boarding houses outside the campus. Moreover, there was a significant relationship among the dimensions, which signified that the factors were essential to increasing the students level of satisfaction. In addition, significant differences among the boarders staying within the campus and outside the campus were noted on the factors such as religious services, dorm or boarding house policy, and student safety and conduciveness for learning. A proposed boarding house or dormitory management plan is proposed focusing on physical facilities, utilities, financial services, religious services, and student safety and conduciveness for learning. This is to ensure access to accommodation that is safe and conducive to the student’s learning
Relationship between Family Social Support and Quality of Life for Hypertensive Elderly in Tenggela Village, Tilango District
Get PDFThe elderly have problems related to aspects of decreased physical function, namely a decrease in body systems and a decrease in the ability of the five senses that affect activities. The decrease in the physical condition of the elderly causes a decrease in the efficiency of cardiovascular homeostatic mechanisms, including hypertension. The design of this study used an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach, sampling using total sampling, obtained 58 respondents, then given a questionnaire. The results showed that the p value was 0.001 (p <0.05), which means that there is a significant effect. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between family social support and the quality of life of the elderly with hypertension. So it is hoped that the increase in family social support for the elderly so that they are able to face a happy and optimistic old age
Comparison of Public Mental Health in Nigeria During the Pandemic and the New Normal
Get PDFPublic mental health in Nigeria during the COVID-19 pandemic and the “new normal” that followed after the pandemic. We will analyze the impact of the pandemic on the mental health of the Nigerian people and how society has responded. In addition, we will also evaluate policies that have been implemented by the government and health institutions to address mental health problems caused by the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused widespread anxiety and depression around the world, including in Nigeria. Some of the factors causing mental health problems in Nigeria during the pandemic include social isolation, economic uncertainty and fear of infection. However, after the pandemic, there have been some changes in Nigerian society that have made the mental health situation better compared to the pandemic, such as better access to mental health services, and stronger social support. Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has issued policies aimed at addressing mental health problems resulting from the pandemic, such as free counseling services and mental health support programs. However, there are still several obstacles that impede the effectiveness of this policy, such as a lack of adequate medical personnel, lack of access to mental health services in rural areas, and lack of financial support from the government. Overall, the COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected the mental health of the Nigerian people. However, with the positive changes in society and the policies implemented by the government, it is hoped that the current mental health situation in Nigeria will be better than during the pandemic. However, there is still a need for stronger efforts from the government and health institutions to tackle mental health problems in Nigeria
The Relationship Nurse Behavior With Ability In Implementing Patient Safety In The Emergency Room Of Prof. Dr. Hi. Aloei Saboe Hospital City Gorontalo
Get PDFPatient safety is very important. The behavior and abilities of nurses play an important role in the implementation of patient safety. This study aims to determine the relationship nurse behavior with the ability in implementing patient safety in the emergency room at Prof. Dr. Hi. Aloe Saboe hospital. The research method uses quantitative analytic observation with a cross sectional design. A sample of 28 respondents was taken with a total sampling technique. Data obtained by observation and analysis of Chi Square test (α = 0.05). The result showed that the behavior of nurses was good is 11 (68.8%) the behavior of nurses were not good is 9 (75%). The results of the analysis test p = 0.024 so it was concluded that there was a relationship between the behavior of nurses and the ability of patient safety in hospitals
The Importance of the Covid-19 Vaccination in Children Ages 6-11 Years at Primary School 4 Limboto Gorontalo Regency
Get PDFChildren aged 6 to 12 years are the age of children entering elementary school. Children are one of the age groups that are vulnerable to being infected with Covid-19, therefore, to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus, children must be equipped with the knowledge of how important it is to vaccinate against COVID-19. This is the goal of community service activities, namely to increase children's knowledge about the importance of vaccinating covid-19 and also being able to understand the impact of not vaccinating covid-19. The method used is education using Power Point, Banner and Leaflet. The results achieved with this activity, SDN 4 Limboto, were very supportive in carrying out this activity, a series of activities were carried out to achieve good results because 35 children participated in the counseling. Conclusion: in breaking the chain of transmission of covid-19, children must first be educated about the importance of vaccination and the impact of not vaccinating against covid-19. This also requires the role of the parents and also the school
How Digital Communication is Reshaping Interpersonal Relationships in Urban India: A Study of Communication Trends Among Young Adults
Get PDFThe present research aims at understanding the pattern of self and social communication and the effects of digital interpersonal connectivity on young adults in Urban India. Online self-communication questionnaire and qualitative semi-structured interview show that although digital communication is very convenient, allowing participants to communicate often and with low levels of burden, it hinders relationship depth as well as poses psychological pressure including feelings of being overwhelmed and increased anxiety. The work also identifies a significant decrease in live physical physical contact that the participants agree impacts the richness of the bond developed with others. It points to the fact that though digital communication is an effective way of keeping in touch it should be an additional to face to face communication. Consequently, the paper establishes that digital communication should be embraced in right proportions to reap on its positives while not compromising relational quality or causing negative impacts on individuals’ psychological wellness. The findings of this research will be beneficial for members of the society, teachers and other stakeholders who seek to improve the quality of communication through technology, especially in diverse cultural settings as the ones in India

In addition, HRD can equip workers with the means they need to develop and implement their own innovative ideas. However, there are difficulties that must be surmounted before HRD can be implemented successfully and its impact on employees' inventiveness fully realized. Employees' unwillingness to adapt to new ways of doing things, scarce funds, and the challenge of gauging ROI all rank high on the list of barriers to effective human resource development.
