An Analysis of the Legal and Ethical Implications of Online Disinformation in the Philippines
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to analyze the legal and ethical considerations of disinformation on the PH cyberspace. This paper employed a qualitative research technique that employed case analysis of disinformation in the Philippines as well as a literature review. The study also assessed levels of compliance for existing laws for combating the spread of fake news including the Anti Cybercrime Law and the Data Privacy Act as well as the ethical issues arising from the effects of fake news. The findings revealed the following there is still a lot of maladjustment of the legislation in the sphere of legal regulation, the presence of numerous flaws in the legal regulation itself and the fact that in many countries the emphasis is made on the protection of data rather than the content. Further, the study revealed that the majorly, disinformation is spread with political interests and actors employ fake accounts and coordinated bots. Hence, it is necessary to diagnose the problem more deeply to develop not only proper legislation and control over its implementation but also promote extensive cooperation between the government, mass media, and developers of technologies, as well as improving the level of media competence of society
The Relationship between Education Policy and Socioeconomic Inequality
Get PDFThe relationship between education policy and socioeconomic inequality in the Philippines is the topic of discussion in this paper. The purpose of the study is to determine whether or not education policy is to blame for socioeconomic inequality in the country by conducting an investigation into the correlation between education policy and socioeconomic standing. According to the findings, there is an inverse relationship between education policy and socioeconomic status. This finding lends credence to the hypothesis that education policy is one of the factors that contribute to socioeconomic inequality. According to the findings of the study, it is vitally important for decision makers to take into account the potential impact of education policy on socioeconomic inequality when formulating policies. As a strategy for lowering the socioeconomic disparities that exist within the educational system, the research paper suggests giving priority to policies that ensure all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have equal access to quality education. The findings of the study have implications for education policy in other countries, particularly those with similar socioeconomic contexts. Additionally, the findings highlight the necessity for policymakers to carefully consider the design and implementation of policies to ensure that they do not contribute to socioeconomic inequality. Additional research is required to identify strategies that are effective in reducing socioeconomic inequality through education policy in the Philippines and in other countries

With the emerge of digitalization in every single aspect of lives, these days people prefer to use an Online Travel Agent (OTA) to help them with their trip. The study's objective is to determine if the online travel agency Traveloka's use of gamification and the Technology Acceptance Model influences consumers' desire to make a purchase. SPSS was used for data analysis in this study. Research shows that gamification has a sizeable impact on purchase desire in the online travel agency Traveloka. Evidently, TAM also has a substantial impact on consumers' desire to make a purchase through OTA Traveloka
Assessing the Effectiveness of Differentiated Instruction Strategies in Diverse Classrooms
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to evaluate the impact of the differentiation techniques for students with learning disabilities learning in integrated classrooms. In differentiated instruction, the teacher modifies or adapts the delivery of instructions while teaching to fit individual students needs, learning modalities, skills, and aptitudes, to effectively reach all the learners. The study employs formative assessment approaches whereby student learning is assessed during the course of the unit of study thus enabling instructors to make changes to their teaching methods where necessary. Information was gathered by using formative assessments like quizzes, exit slips and observations among others. The study proves that effective differentiation enhances the level of students interest, motivation and achievement. More particularly, strategies like flexibility of group, differentiation in assignments, and arrangement of classroom and its furniture were identified as more concrete which contributed positively to the students self efficacy, self-ability and self performance. Overall, the need to conduct assessments on the effectiveness of these instructional strategies and to make necessary changes is an important feature when implementing teaching and learning strategies in collaborative classroom setup’s that include students with Special Education Needs
Analysis of Infection Prevention and Control Program Implementation on Nurses in the Room Dr. Fauziah Bireuen Hospitals Makasaar
Get PDFThe study aims to analyze the implementation of infection prevention and control programs. This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research informants were 11 people consisting of 3 nurses, 3 heads of rooms, 1 head of the PPI committee, 1 IPCN, 1 Deputy Director of Services, 1 Head of Nursing and 1 Head of Medical Services. The research was conducted in November–December 2021 through interviews and observations. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive through the stages of data reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing. It can be concluded that the implementation of the PPI (Infection Prevention Program) program is not entirely in accordance with SPO (Standard Operating Procedures) due to the lack of compliance by nurses, lack of implementation of aseptic actions in HAIs (Healthcare Associated Infection) bundles, lack of regular and inaccurate training. submission of monthly reports. So it is recommended for hospital management and staff to make policies that regulate the commitment of all health workers in implementing the PPI (Infection Prevention Program) program, being a role model / role model in the implementation of the PPI (Infection Prevention Program) program such as in inviting, familiarizing hand hygiene activities. , use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and aseptic measures and routinely carry out training / training on a regular basis
The Provision of Health Services Affects Performance of Health Personnel at Community Health Centers Hutabaginda, North Tapanuli Regency
Get PDFThe study aimed to investigate the impact of delivering health services on the performance of health workers at the Hutabaginda Health Centre. This study was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The population was the Civil Servants with a minimum education of 3rd Diploma totaling 84 people. The samples taken from all population. Data analysis was performed by univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The statistical test used chi-square test and logistic regression. With a p-value of 0.000<.05 for education, multiple assignments, attendance, years of service, and responsibility, it was found that education, multiple assignments, attendance, years of service, and duties influenced the performance of health professionals. Furthermore, the multiple logistic regression test reveals that education, with an odds ratio (OR) of 47,802, has a greater influence on health worker performance. It is advised that education be prioritized since it influences the performance of health professionals in delivering exceptional service that the community can be proud of (customer satisfaction), service providers, and service institutions

Environmental Governance in The Division of Roles International Institutions and Government Institutions in African Countries

The current state of environmental governance in African countries is influenced by a range of challenges, including limited resources, weak institutions, and a lack of political will to prioritize environmental protection. However, the study also identifies a number of opportunities for improving environmental governance in the region. These include greater collaboration between international and government institutions, the development of more effective policies and initiatives, and increased investment in environmental protection and sustainable development. Improvement of the Environment and Health in Terms of Governance of Slum Settlements through Collaboration Between Stakeholders
Get PDFSlum settlements are the subject of this research, specifically how better stakeholder collaboration can lead to better environmental and health outcomes. The study's objectives are to (1) evaluate the effectiveness of stakeholder cooperation in improving the health of slum residents, (2) identify the obstacles to and opportunities for enhancing the environment and health of slum communities, and (3) assess the environmental and health conditions in slum settlements. Access to essential services and infrastructure, environmental pollution, and healthcare availability were all summarized using descriptive statistics. The findings emphasize the immediate need for comprehensive and collaborative approaches to tackling the pressing issues of poor living conditions and limited access to healthcare in slum settlements. Stakeholder collaboration, including that between the government, NGOs, CBOs, and the business sector, is also highlighted as being essential to improving slum dwellers' health and wellbeing. It was also determined that community-led projects, multi-sectoral approaches, and innovative solutions are essential to enhancing the quality of life in informal settlements and reducing health risks. Finally, the research highlights barriers to enhancing the environment and health of slum settlements, such as inadequate access to basic services, pollution, and economic and social exclusion. Taken as a whole, the results of this research stress the critical importance of multidisciplinary efforts to alleviate slums' myriad problems. Sustainable improvements in the environment and health of slum settlements can be achieved through the implementation of innovative solutions and the promotion of cooperation among stakeholders, lowering the disease burden in these communities and fostering social and economic inclusion
