Analyzing the Impact of Organizational Culture on Performance: A Study of Public and Private Hospitals in India
Get PDFThis study aimed to analyze the impact of organizational culture on performance in public and private hospitals in India. A mixed-methods research design was used, involving a survey of hospital employees and interviews with hospital managers. The Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) was used to measure the four types of organizational cultures: clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy. Performance was measured using a composite score of patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, financial performance, and employee satisfaction. The results showed that hierarchical culture was predominant in both types of hospitals, followed by clan, market, and adhocracy cultures. Private hospitals outperformed public hospitals in terms of overall hospital performance and employee satisfaction with the organizational culture. The findings suggest that healthcare managers and policymakers in India need to adopt more flexible and collaborative approaches to management, address the systemic issues facing public hospitals, and improve the work environment and employee engagement in public hospitals. Further research is needed to explore the relationship between organizational culture and other outcomes, such as patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. The study adds to the growing body of literature on organizational culture in healthcare and provides valuable insights for healthcare managers and policymakers in India
Improving the Quality of Education Through Literacy and Numeracy Learning, Technology Adaptation Assistance and Administration
Get PDFThe article discusses the Teaching Campus program that is part of the Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy implemented by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Indonesia. The program aims to enrich student competence by providing opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom by providing assistance to teachers and education staff at the education level, especially through increasing literacy, numeracy, adapting technology and assisting with administration. The article also highlights the Independent Learning Policy - Independent Campus, which is an autonomous and flexible form of learning in tertiary institutions that creates a learning culture that is innovative, not restrictive, and in accordance with the needs of students. The main programs are facilitating the opening of new study programs, changes to the higher education accreditation system, facilitating public universities to become PTNs with legal entities, and the right to study three semesters outside the study program. The article details the objectives of the Teaching Campus program, including fostering an attitude of empathy and awareness in students in dealing with problems in the surrounding environment, exploring the creative mindset together in various fields, and promoting and supporting national development. The article also highlights the preparation, implementation, and analysis of the results of the Teaching Campus program, which includes debriefing activities, coordination with the district/city education office, coordination with the target elementary school, and the implementation of the program. The Teaching Campus program is expected to provide opportunities for students to enrich themselves through activities and ideas outside of learning activities and provide scholarship opportunities for smart students by using their creativity and encouraging special education in 3T places so that they are the same as schools that have quality education according to national standards
Analysis of Citizen's Charter Policy as A Strategy for Improving the Quality of Public Services in the Issuance of Driving License
Get PDFThe service of driving licenses (SIM) is one of the public services of various other public services owned by the National Police. The state gives full authority to the Police to provide these services as stipulated in Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. The purpose of this study is to 1) analyze the issuance of SIMs at the Sorong Polres, 2) analyze the Citizen's Charter policy (service contract) as a strategy to improve the quality of public services in issuing SIMs at the Sorong Polres. This study uses a qualitative approach, using a case study research method. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation and document review. This research was conducted in early September 2021 with a total of 15 respondents consisting of members of the Indonesian National Police and the public. The location of the research was carried out at the Sorong Police Station. From the results of the study it was concluded that the SIM issuance service at the Sorong Polres is still not optimally implemented for the community because the SIM issuance service at the Sorong Polres is still exclusive and elite capture, with a gap between service quality and cultural dimensions in the SIM issuance service at the Sorong Polres then a strategic policy formulation is needed to improve the quality of public services that are more excellent than the previous services. The advice given is to make fundamental improvements to the SIM issuance service at the Sorong Polres in order to improve the quality of service, build a good service culture, namely having dedication, integrity, discipline, honesty and trustworthiness in providing services to the community, using software that can be displayed directly on service room so that it can quickly find out what is the criticism and input from the community in service, on mobile SIM cars added to the product by issuing new SIMs, there is intense supervision from the Provos Polres Sorong to monitor service officers, and adopting a Citizen's Charter (service contract) compiled and designed between the Sorong Police and other stakeholders and the community
Social Media as a Tool for Political Mobilization: A Case Study of the 2020 Hong Kong Protests
Get PDFThis paper aims at analyzing how social media approves activism but also weakens it at the same time. Through an analysis of social media posts, interviews with key stakeholders, and documentary evidence, the research explores four key themes: The latter include Decentralized Coordination, where Octavia Butler uses focalization to correlate Schmidt’s narrative control with the observation of the subjects; Surveillance and Censorship, where her Parables explore the capacities for global solidarity. The study shows that, although, platforms such as Telegram and Twitter played a crucial role on enabling decentralised coordination and influencing global narratives of protest, they also predisposed protestors to explicit threats that ranged from surveillance, censorship amongst others and disinformation campaigns. The paper shows how the process of political mobilisation through social media is not straightforward or slack, as it underlines the theoretical and practical issues that arise on that matter. This research fills the gap in knowledge and adds to the discussion regarding the applicability of technology, namely social media in the continuation of political activism in oppressive states

Application of Good Governance Principles in Digital-Based Services in the Department of Capital Investment and One-Door Integrated Services of Gorontalo City
Get PDFThis research aims to discover the principles of good governance in digital-based services at the Gorontalo City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office. The method uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach and data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation derived from primary and secondary data. This research uses data analysis techniques through data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the principles of Good Goverance in the One-Stop Integrated Service Investment Office of Gorontalo City, seen from the indicators of transparency, equality/justice, and community participation, have yet to be achieved. This is due to unclear requirements and periods for permit completion, nepotism in the service, and lack of public participation in socialization held by the agency. It is suggested that the government provide appropriate and proper intensive services to all people who come to the Gorontalo City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office and improve the SICANTIK service system so that the purpose of holding SICANTIK can be achieved following what is expected by bathubs, govemment and the communit

This research uses primary data which collects data using questionnaires and interviews. The researcher uses quantitative analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and analysis of the coefficient of determination. with the help of SPSS17. The population in this study was 47 early childhood children at the Kobar Anugrah Early Childhood Education School, Batujala Village, carried out on May 15 2023 at Kobar early childhood education in Batujala Village, Bontoramba District, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The results of the research obtained using the Animated videos have the effect of helping young children be active in expressive language at early childhood education schools in Kobar, and teachers are also more active in the early childhood education learning process using animated digital media learning methods. The question is whether these factors are seen as crucial by the graduates. How well-versed they are in the concept of growth. There are also developmental roadblocks to consider. The Impact Of Insufficient Sleep On Body Health
Get PDFInsufficient sleep poses a big public health challenge, exerting profound results on physical health, cognitive feature, emotional well-being, and social properly-being. This qualitative study aimed to discover the perceptions of insufficient sleep, its impact on body health, coping mechanisms, and implications for intervention and public health. Through semi-based interviews and thematic analysis, facts had been accumulated from a purposive pattern of 20 contributors recruited from diverse backgrounds. The findings revealed multifaceted perceptions of inadequate sleep, which includes frustration, resignation, and cultural affects on sleep norms. Insufficient sleep became related to heightened susceptibility to cardiovascular issues, metabolic dysregulation, and immune dysfunction. Participants reported cognitive impairments, temper disturbances, and challenges in interpersonal relationships. Coping mechanisms protected mindfulness practices, relaxation techniques, and adherence to sleep hygiene standards. Implications for intervention and public fitness underscored the importance of raising recognition, integrating sleep assessment into scientific exercise, addressing social determinants of sleep health, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations. By prioritizing sleep health and enforcing proof-based interventions, stakeholders can mitigate the load of sleep-related disorders and sell ultimate well-being for individuals and communities
