    Get PDF
Despite policy commitments to inclusive education, significant barriers hinder its true realization in Bangladesh, particularly at the primary level. This research utilizes secondary data analysis to comprehensively identify and examine these challenges, drawing insights from official reports, academic literature, and stakeholder interviews. The study investigates four primary domains: policy and infrastructure, teacher preparedness and practices, attitudes and awareness, and accessibility and support mechanisms. Findings reveal systemic limitations in infrastructure and resource allocation, inadequate teacher training in inclusive pedagogies, persisting negative attitudes towards diverse learners, and insufficient support services for children with disabilities and marginalized backgrounds. Drawing on these insights, the paper proposes multi-pronged recommendations across each domain, advocating for: 1) strengthened policy frameworks and resource allocation, 2) comprehensive teacher training in inclusive practices and differentiated instruction, 3) community-based awareness campaigns on inclusion and diversity, and 4) improved accessibility measures in schools and learning materials. The research emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts at national, local, and school levels to dismantle identified barriers and create a truly inclusive primary education system in Bangladesh, ensuring equitable access and quality learning for all children

    Get PDF
Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have emerged as a strategic approach to addressing economic challenges in rural areas, particularly in regions where traditional governmental efforts have been insufficient. This study examines the impact of PPPs on the economic development of villages in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Through a combination of survey data from local stakeholders and quantitative analysis of key economic indicators, the study explores the correlation between PPP intensity measured by investment levels and outcomes such as income growth, employment rates, and access to essential services like education and healthcare. The results indicate strong positive correlations between PPP intensity and these economic outcomes, suggesting that increased investment through PPPs is directly linked to significant improvements in the socio-economic conditions of the villages. Stakeholder perceptions also align with these findings, with the majority expressing satisfaction with the effectiveness of PPPs in driving local development. Despite the study’s limitations, including a relatively small sample size, the evidence supports the conclusion that PPPs are a viable and effective strategy for fostering sustainable economic growth in rural regions. These findings have important implications for policymakers and private sector stakeholders, emphasizing the need for continued and expanded use of PPPs to address the persistent challenges of rural development. Future research should focus on larger datasets and longitudinal studies to further validate these findings

    Get PDF
The digital revolution has had a profound impact on public service delivery worldwide, and Bangladesh is no exception. In recent years, the government of Bangladesh has made significant strides in embracing technology to improve citizen-government interactions through public service applications. These applications offer a wide range of services, from tax payments and utility bill settlements to healthcare and education resources, making governance more accessible and citizen-centric. However, the effective management of public service applications poses several challenges, including technical issues, administrative hurdles, user-related concerns, and legal and regulatory complexities. This thesis explores the management of public sector strategies in dealing with the use of public service applications in Bangladesh. A mixed-methods research design is adopted, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. A literature review provides an overview of the current landscape of public service applications in the country and highlights best practices from other nations. Primary data is collected through surveys and interviews, which capture citizen perspectives and experiences, as well as insights from government officials and technology experts. The findings indicate that public service applications have a positive impact on governance, enhancing accessibility, efficiency, and transparency. However, challenges such as limited digital infrastructure, cybersecurity concerns, bureaucratic resistance, and digital literacy gaps need to be addressed. Strategies for effective management are proposed, including improving technical infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity measures, promoting user education, streamlining administrative processes, and fostering collaboration with the private sector and NGOs. Furthermore, the importance of data privacy policies, multilingual applications, and continuous user feedback for enhancing citizen trust and inclusivity is emphasized
