Digital Leadership and Job Satisfaction: The Role of Intrinsic Motivation as Mediating Variable

In order to have a flexible, effective workplace that promotes the psychological health of employees, leaders must be able to use technology into their leadership style.  The purpose of this study is to examine how digital leadership affects PT Semen Padang employees' job satisfaction using intrinsic motivation as a mediating factor.  140 respondents were chosen using proportionate random sampling approaches for this quantitative study, which use the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique.  The study's findings suggest that intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction are positively and significantly impacted by digital leadership.  The association between digital leadership and job satisfaction has been shown to be considerably mediated by intrinsic motivation, which likewise has a positive and considerable impact on job satisfaction.  The Self-Determination Theory (SDT), which holds that meeting fundamental psychological needs like competence, autonomy, and connectivity can boost intrinsic motivation and eventually lead to greater job satisfaction, is supported by these findings.  The study's results highlight how crucial it is for managers to cultivate digital leadership as a tactic for raising worker motivation and job satisfaction, particularly when dealing with the difficulties posed by digital transformation in the industrial workplace

Slut-Shaming Towards Female Revenge Porn Victims: Analysis through Newsmaking Criminology and the Online Media Construction of Reality

The prevalence of gender-based violence against women (GBVAW), including revenge porn as a form of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), reflects the evolving nature of crime alongside technological advances. The media plays an important role in shaping and disseminating information about crime, given that crime events do not directly affect every individual. Moreover, the media acts as a central agent in constructing the public’s perception of crime realities. Nonetheless, crime news frequently contains distortion and bias, resulting in a disparity between the actual social reality and how it is presented. This study explores the online mass media contribution to shaping public narratives regarding revenge porn cases involving female victims, with particular attention to the phenomenon of slut-shaming resulting from unbalanced reporting. The research employs a qualitative approach with content analysis, using the framework of newsmaking criminology. Two key indicators guide the analysis: media distortion in narrative construction and the sensationalization of crime news, as observed in six online media outlets operating through TikTok platform. The findings reveal that online media content disseminated via TikTok fosters public sexist reactions towards female revenge porn victims, often through slut-shaming practices. Media distortions and sensationalism contribute to a false perception associating revenge porn with pornography. As a result, victims are frequently labeled as “actors,” “players,” or even “porn stars,” despite their victimhood and the legal violations associated with such publications under Indonesian law

This study examines the effectiveness of Legal Metrology policy implementation in traditional markets, using Citeko Market in Purwakarta Regency, Indonesia, as a case study. It addresses issues of inaccurate weighing practices that disadvantage consumers and erode market trust. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Analysis was conducted using Winter’s (1990) policy implementation model, covering five dimensions: policy content, organizational coordination, management mechanisms, bureaucratic behaviour, and target group responses. The findings reveal weak inter-agency collaboration, inadequate daily oversight, and technical vulnerabilities in digital weighing instruments. Despite the existence of formal regulations and routine inspections, persistent gaps hinder consistent enforcement and consumer protection. The study concludes that implementation is only partially effective and recommends strengthening institutional coordination, increasing supervisory capacity, and enhancing public awareness to ensure fair trade and rebuild consumer trust

This study aims to analyze the application of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (PKDRT) by the Deli Serdang City Resort Police (Polresta) in handling cases of domestic violence (KDRT). The method used is an empirical juridical approach with data collection through interviews, documentation studies, and direct observation. The results of the study show that the Deli Serdang Police have implemented procedural steps such as receiving reports, visum et repertum, and investigations. However, the implementation of the law has not been fully effective because informal mediation practices are still found that have the potential to reduce the deterrent effect for perpetrators and weaken legal protection for victims. Case data over the past five years (2020–2024) shows that physical violence is the most dominant form of domestic violence, while psychological and sexual violence is still rarely reported, indicating underreporting. The main obstacles in law enforcement include fear and dependence on victims, lack of witnesses, and family intervention. Judging from Lawrence M. Friedman's law enforcement theory, the weak structure and culture of law are obstacles in the implementation of the substance of the law. Meanwhile, from the perspective of legal protection theory, the authorities have not fully provided security and justice guarantees for victims. This study recommends the need to strengthen the victim protection system and the consistency of law enforcement without compromise to ensure legal certainty and justice

Maritime education industry in Indonesia has a significant role to contribute to the development of the nation, as Indonesia has expansive archipelagic territory and increased maritime duties on an international scale. This paper seeks to measure how strategic management can help in improving institutional performance at the BLU PIP Makassar in the use of aggressive approach within the institution using a hybrid of the SWOT analysis, Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) and the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Quantitative research design was utilised to develop data on 50 purposively sampled respondents in the planning and the HR units. The analysis of the instrument validity and reliability was verified by Pearson correlation and Cronbach Alpha testing. Linear regression analysis was used to study the relationship amid strategic management implementation and institutional performance. The results prove the positive correlation (R = 0.825) and the significant regression coefficient (beta = 0.712, p < 0.001) which means that the impact of strategic management on the performance outcomes proves its importance. Learning and growth and customer satisfaction were noted to improve significantly by +23 and +14 percent respectively. This work does not only provide empirical support regarding the success of integrated strategic instruments in the environment of the public service but also contributes to filling one of the gaps in the localized research on the maritime education management in Indonesia

Communication-Based Tuberculosis Transmission Prevention in Indigenous Communities in South Nias Regency

The current Tuberculosis Detection Target in Indonesia for 2024-2025 has not been fully achieved. Many challenges remain to be overcome. Some patients do not complete treatment and discontinue treatment prematurely, which can lead to relapse, further transmission, and the emergence of drug resistance (MDR-TB or XDR-TB). Patients do not understand the importance of completing treatment even though they feel healthy and the dangers of MDR-TB if treatment is discontinued. The Community Service Method used in this community service activity consists of several systematic stages: preparation (Pre-Activity), socialization, interactive lectures, focused discussions or Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), evaluation, and follow-up. The results of this community service activity showed an increase in knowledge, attitudes, and actions in indigenous communities in preventing tuberculosis transmission. It is recommended that health workers always involve community leaders in TB prevention through an active communication approach as traditional leaders serve as role models in decision-making

Binjai Mayor Regulation Number 9 of 2022 concerning the Protection of Women and Children from Violence is a strategic policy to overcome the high rate of violence against these vulnerable groups. This research aims to analyze the implementation of policies, the challenges faced, and the necessary improvement measures. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The subjects of the study include government officials, field officers, non-governmental organizations, and victims of violence. The results of the study show that the implementation of the policy has resulted in several achievements, such as the formation of integrated services for victims of violence, increasing public awareness through educational campaigns, and cross-sector cooperation for case handling. However, the implementation of this policy has not run optimally due to various obstacles, such as limited human resources and budgets, low public awareness, patriarchal cultural barriers, and ineffective coordination between institutions. These obstacles have an impact on the slow process of handling cases and the lack of optimal support for victims of violence. Therefore, this study recommends increased budget allocation, professional training, strengthening cross-agency coordination mechanisms, and more intensive public campaigns to change cultural norms that support violence. In conclusion, although these policies have had a positive impact, further efforts are needed to improve their effectiveness. With integrated strategic steps, this policy has the potential to become a stronger instrument in protecting women and children from violence in Binjai City
