Russia's Goals and Priorities in the Russia-Ukraine Conflict
Based on Colin Gray’s defense planning theory, Russia’s territorial control in Ukraine reflects a clear strategic defense objective to strengthen its position in Eastern Europe. The success of Russia’s defense strategy is influenced by the interplay between political policies, military power, and the ability to adapt to close-range conflict situations. This territorial control is not merely a result of military conflict but also an integral part of a long-term plan to achieve broader political goals. Additionally, the motivation of Russian human resources in Ukraine demonstrates a well-planned and directed strategic approach. The high number of volunteers and the motivation of troops indicate Russia’s efforts to achieve its objectives through optimizing human resource partnerships. The prioritization of Ukraine’s natural resources also reflects Russia’s strategy to enhance its geopolitical position and fulfill its economic needs. This resource control not only provides financial advantages but also strengthens Russia’s military capabilities. Therefore, the interplay between political policies, military power, and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations is a key factor in Russia’s defense strategy during this conflict
Analysis of Law Enforcement on the Case of THTI TNI Soldiers at the Medan Military Court
This study aims to analyze the legal regulation and law enforcement against the crime of absenteeism without permission (THTI) carried out by TNI soldiers at the Medan Military Court, as well as the relationship between the Military Criminal Code (KUHPM) and the Criminal Code (KUHP). The research methods used are normative juridical and empirical juridical, with legislative, case, and conceptual approaches, as well as data collection through document studies and interviews. The results of the study show that legal arrangements related to THTI have been comprehensively regulated in Article 87 of the Criminal Code, with sanctions aimed at maintaining military discipline. Law enforcement against the THTI case at the Medan Military Court is carried out through the stages of investigation, investigation, prosecution, and execution of the verdict. The relationship between the Criminal Code and the Criminal Code reflects the principle of lex specialis derogat legi generali, where the Criminal Code is prioritized for TNI soldiers. However, there are challenges in determining jurisdiction in cases involving civil society, so coordination between military courts and general courts is needed. This study recommends increasing the socialization of the rule of law to soldiers, strengthening the capacity of military legal officers, and moral development to prevent THTI violations. With this step, it is hoped that the handling of THTI cases can run more effectively and fairly in accordance with the principles of military law and general criminal law
Supervision Strategy of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission on Anti-Competition Practices
This study aims to examine the supervision strategy carried out by the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (ICC) against anti-competition practices that can harm the market and consumers. ICC has a very important role in maintaining healthy business competition through supervision, law enforcement, and policy recommendations. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods and document analysis related to the implementation of the business competition law. The results of the study show that ICC carries out supervision through a preventive, detective, and law enforcement approach. Preventive supervision is carried out through education to business actors, while detective supervision utilizes technology such as big data to detect anti-competitive practices. Although the law enforcement carried out by ICC has succeeded in cracking down on many violations, it is constrained by a deterrent effect that is still low due to the amount of sanctions that are not proportional to the profits obtained from these illegal practices. In addition, ICC also functions as a policy advisor to encourage the creation of regulations that support fair business competition. This research suggests the need to increase the capacity of technology and human resources, as well as revisions to the amount of sanctions so that they can be more effective in tackling anti-competitive practices in Indonesia

Assessing Pedagogical Competence Among Prospective Primary School Teachers: A Case Study
With an emphasis on their self-perceived strengths and shortcomings in a variety of areas, such as topic knowledge, teaching tactics, classroom management, and technology integration, this study evaluates the pedagogical competency of aspiring primary school teachers. Data were gathered from 150 participants in a teacher training program at a prestigious university using a quantitative survey approach. According to the results, although the participants demonstrated a solid command of the subject matter, they also had modest opinions of their own teaching methods and classroom management, as well as a marked lack of confidence when it came to incorporating technology into their lesson plans. These findings highlight the necessity for teacher training programs to better strike a balance between academic understanding and real-world application, especially when it comes to topics like digital tool use and classroom management. According to the study, increasing possibilities for practical learning and incorporating technology-focused training could greatly raise future teachers' pedagogical proficiency
Factors Affecting Employee Performance at the Citra Medika Group Clinic
Employee performance is a key indicator of organizational success, reflecting the ability of individuals or groups to meet established standards, responsibilities, legal norms, and ethical principles. At Citra Medika Clinic, a noticeable decline in employee performance has been observed, raising concerns regarding internal factors affecting productivity. Preliminary assessments suggest that low motivation, poor work discipline, and an unconducive work environment are major contributors to this decline. This study aims to empirically assess the influence of motivation, work discipline, and the work environment on employee performance at Citra Medika Clinic. A quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design was employed. The sample comprised 30 respondents selected from the clinic’s employees. Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate (chi-square test), and multivariate (logistic regression) statistical techniques at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The findings demonstrate that work motivation (p = 0.007; Exp(β) = 0.567), work environment (p = 0.003; Exp(β) = 0.706), and work discipline (p = 0.001; Exp(β) = 0.325) significantly influence employee performance. Collectively, these factors show a positive and simultaneous effect, with the work environment emerging as the most dominant influence. Based on these findings, it is recommended that management enhance employee motivation and discipline by implementing reward systems and recognizing achievements. Additionally, providing training and professional development aligned with job responsibilities can significantly improve employee competence and performance. These strategies are expected to foster a more productive and sustainable work environment at Citra Medika Clinic
Political Communication in Television Media: A Study of Encoding/Decoding on Voters in the 2024 Election
This study analyzes the role of the media in shaping public opinion ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election, focusing on the Maghrib adhan broadcast featuring Ganjar Pranowo on MNC Group television station in September 2023. This phenomenon raises polemics regarding media independence, given that MNC Group is owned by Hary Tanoesoedibjo, chairman of the Perindo Party who supports Ganjar as a presidential candidate. The broadcast is considered an attempt at identity politics to build a politician's image. This research uses a critical paradigm with a qualitative descriptive approach, combining Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory and Roland Barthes' semiotics to analyze the political symbols in the broadcast. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, observation, and literature study. The results show that political shows are not taken for granted by the audience, but through a decoding process that is influenced by their social and cultural background. The media, in this case RCTI, utilizes symbols and narratives to shape the image of politicians, although the meaning received by the audience varies, depending on their decoding position. This finding confirms the role of the media as a tool of domination in shaping public opinion and creating political hegemony, which risks reducing the objectivity and independence of the media in a democracy

The Role of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Quality Attributes of Makassar Traditional Food as a Culinary Tourism Attraction
The interest in the growth of culinary tourism in Makassar City, which has a lot of potential, is the foundation of this study. Analyzing how people perceive the quality of traditional food products is the aim of this study. Specifically, we look at how people perceive the quality of intrinsic attributes (like color, taste, smell, and appearance) and extrinsic attributes (like brand, denomination of origin, and image of traditional products) in relation to the most popular government-provided tourist attractions. However, there is still a lack of promotion of traditional food on government tourism sites. These are the justifications for conducting this investigation. Tourists who visited the culinary icon via random sample served as the study's subjects. The questionnaire approach was used to obtain data. Additionally, research data collected via documentation and questionnaires was examined, coded, validated, and tabulated for analysis. The study's findings suggest that both internal and extrinsic quality have an impact on culinary tourism visits. Makassar City's traditional cuisine can satisfy the requirements that are categorized into menu items that can be served as drinks, appetizers, main dishes, and desserts
