An Analytical Review on Solar Chimney Power Plant Designs
The use of solar energy today is also necessary and important. Chimney solar power generation technology is one of the solar energy harvesting techniques where direct and diffuse solar radiation is absorbed into the solar chimney power plant. The efficiency of solar chimney has been demonstrated for power generation and is a promising approach for future power generation plans. This article provides a comprehensive scenario of solar technology research and development, as well as the history of solar chimney over the past few decades
A Comprehensive Review on Impact of Machining Parameters on MRR and SR
The electrical discharge machining (EDM) process is a non-conventional machining process that is utilized to create high caliber and exact dimension items. This machining (EDM) is used to machine the smallest to complex geometrical shapes. Thermal energy helps to evaporate and melt the material from a work piece. Circulation of dielectric fluid removes out the debris from working zone and maintains the stability of machining process. EDM process is generally used for machining with different applications such as automobile, aircraft, aerospace, tools and dies, etc. This paper provides a review on the effect of different input parameters of EDM such as current, pulse off time, pulse on time, etc. on material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness (SR)
A Comparative Review on ALU using CMOS and GDI techniques for Power Dissipation and Propagation Delay
Arithmetic and Logic Circuits are to be designed with less power, compact size, less propagation delay in this fast growing era of technology. Arithmetic operations are indispensable and the basic functions for any high speed low power applications like digital signal processing, microprocessors, image processing, etc. Consumption of power is the major issue in designing these circuits. Also the number of transistors required is also the one of the issues in designing the circuits. To minimize the transistors required in designing the circuits and to reduce the power consumption of the circuits, the authors have referred some techniques to overcome these problems in this paper. By reviewing all these techniques, the authors try to implement the GDI technique to reduce the power consumption and transistors count or the area required to design the circuits
Study about Power Filters in Power System Quality and Stability Enhancement
The excessive power electronics devices in the distribution systems have evolved the problem of power quality. Arc Furnaces, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Computer power supplies play a major role in the deterioration in the quality power by injecting harmonics in the utility supply source. Extensive use of non-linear loads leads to a multitude of unwanted harmonics in the operation of the electrical system. Of these, the harmonics of current and voltage are the most significant. in this paper presented is the power quality and the Shunt Active Power Filter and the description of the Harmonics and Its Effects
Study on Micro Grid and Compensation Parameters with Solar/Hydro DGs
Hydropower energy is one of the most suitable and efficient sources of renewable energy which depends on the energy of flowing water. The power capacity and facility are two criteria required for the classification of the hydropower plants. The first one consists of five technologies: dammed reservoir, run of river, pumped storage, in-stream technology, and new technology gravitational vortex. The other one is classified according to the power scale is Large, Small, Mini, Micro, and Pico Hydropower. Nowadays most of the rural areas in developed and developing countries use the hydropower plant for producing electricity, it is cheap and effective. This paper gives a review of hybrid system i.e. micro hydropower technologies and solar energy, it is focusing on the categories and performance of hydropower systems and the most suitable solar energy which can be used.
Joint Clustering and Routing Algorithm for Node Performance Improvement in Wireless Sensor Networks
These days Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have been used in various Internet of Things (IoT) applications viz., healthcare monitoring, disaster management, smart buildings, smart farming etc. it is one of the substitutes for solving distinct problems of IoT in various areas. This paper proposed a joint clustering and routing algorithm. We develop a simulation area for node movement and communication. A Joint clustering and routing (JCR) protocol proposed for reliable and efficient data collection in large-scale wireless sensor network. Theoretical analysis and simulation results will prove the connectivity and efficiency of the network topology generated by JCR
Study on Transmission Line and Associated Varying Parameters, Devices and Control Algorithms
The transmission line is the most important part of the electricity network. The need for electricity and its affiliations have increased exponentially in modern times and the main task of a transmission line is to transmit electricity from the area of ??origin to the distribution network. The explosion between limited production and huge demands placed more emphasis on reducing power losses. Losses like transmission loss and also conjecture factors as like as physical losses to various technical losses, another reason is that reactive power and voltage difference in the long distance transmission line are of great importance. In essence, fault analysis is a very important topic in network technology in order to eliminate errors in a short time and restore the electrical network as quickly as possible with minimal interruptions. However, detecting errors that interrupt the transmission line is in itself a difficult task to look for errors and improve system reliability. The transmission line is vulnerable to all parameters that connect the entire electrical network. A review of the transmission and associated equipment was described in this study. And it explains the classification and fault detection scheme. This document provides an overview of transmission line failure detection
Review On Electric Traction Systems Driving Induction Motor and Associated Power Quality Issues
The traction systems for electric vehicles have advanced considerably over recent years, with the application of different topologies of power converters for the control of various types of electric induction motors and permanent magnet. Furthermore, the evolution of power semiconductor elements of Si to SiC wideband have opened up lines of research and development in this area. The trend of manufacturer’s traction systems is to reach compact systems where the power dissipation is high and the reduction of losses is minimal, for it the implementation of topologies of converters with SiC devices seems to be a good alternative of use to improve the performance of these systems. This paper studies the basic topologies of back to back converter in traction systems als well as the powr quality issues arriving in these systems
