Sample size for estimation of averages of agronomic traits in cassava seedlings
Relationship between gastro tourism and consumer behavior in food
Modern tourism is a discipline that has only recently begun to attract the interest of professionals from several disciplines. Those who set the course for the development of tourism must cope with changes in technology, climatic conditions, an increasing aging, more sophisticated population, more frequent use of health care products and services. Gastronomy has been recognized as an integral part of the tourism product and as a means of differentiating destinations. It plays a key role in building the unique character, identity and authenticity of the destination. The aim of the paper is to analyze, compare and predict consumer demand of statistically monitored categories of meat, its frequency of consumption, to determine the dependence of meat consumption on life expectancy and to outline the possible consequences of this consumer demand on selected demographic indicators. The object of the research are the countries of Slovak and Bangladesh. Secondary sources and primary data obtained from 1300 respondents were used. The sources were processed by several statistical-mathematical methods, namely we used the method of regression and correlation analysis, the method of time series analysis. The results suggest that there is a correlation between life expectancy and consumption of individual meats, which can significantly influence the development of tourism through gastronomic trends

Anxiety disorder and consumption of social media in Brazil
Brazilian population spends a lot of time on social media. The average access from any device is 3 hours and 39 minutes (The Global, 2018). On the other hand, the country leads the numbers of anxiety disorder among the population. According to the World Health Organization, the incidence in the country is 9.3%, while the world average is 3.5%. This number is even higher in big cities, reaching 19.9% in the city of São Paulo (Horta, 2019). Possible causes are economic instability, social changes and violence (Horta, 2019). Add to that the political polarization in recent years and the intensive use of gadgets, private chat applications, such as Whatsapp, and social networks. In this work, we focus on the influence of social networks in the development of Brazilian anxiety. Our hypothesis is that the intensity of use reinforces the existence of other factors of anxiety increase (economy, violence, political division, etc.) through the sharing of news, besides adding others, such as self-display, performativity and the need of always being in evidence in social networks. As a method, we will work with content analysis (news and images) from the main social networking platforms used in Brazil
The Synchronous Distributed Generation Islanding Protection using Paraconsistent Relay
This article presents the intelligent multifunctional protection (IR) relay for systems based on synchronous generators using a paraconsistent neural network. This network woks with degrees of favorable, unfavorable evidence, sensitivity and time. The IR includes islanding, fault detection, fault type recognition and selective fault blocking. The proposed multi-function APL4v IR was tested in a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment. The results show that the proposed IR is superior to the traditional islanding recognition methods regarding reliability, safety and detection time
The Effect of Learning Method Schoology Applications and Learning Style on Student Learning Outcomes
This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The purpose of this study is to determine whether student learning outcomes with the LMS method (using Schoology) are higher than conventional and whether there is an interaction between learning methods with student learning styles. The population of this study were all students of the mechanical engineering study program at the PTKI campus Medan. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The control class and experimental class selected each consisted of 20 people. The instrument used to measure students' mathematical achievement is the essay-test. The instrument used to measure student learning styles is a questionnaire. The normality test used is the Lilliefor test and homogeneity test using the Fisher test. Then the ANOVA test was performed with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that students who were taught using Schoology had high learning outcomes compared to conventional learning and visual learning styles were highest in learning outcomes than other learning styles. But learning styles and learning methods don't have interactions. For further research, it can be done with different learning models and adding other variables to see the readiness of our human resources in facing the industrial world
ROOTING ENHANCERS IN THE PRODUCTION OF BOUGAINVILLEA SEEDLINGS (BOUGAINVILLEA SP.)
This work aimed to evaluate the effect of different rooting enhancers on the development of Bougainvillea cuttings (Bougainvillea spetabilis Willd), aiming to accelerate rhizogenesis for seedling production. Semi-hardwood cuttings standardized in fifteen centimeters in length and diameter of approximately one centimeter were used. After collected, one third of the basal part of cuttings was immersed according to the following treatments: water (control); commercial product (RADIMAXi 20® at concentrations: Ca 25.6%, S 1.8%, Zn 2.5%, Co 1.5%); coconut water (Cocos nucifera L.); Tiririca extract (Cyperus rotundus L.) and Lentil extract (Lensculinaris Medik), for about two seconds. After immersion, cuttings were planted in polyethylene bags filled with 50% of Carolina Soil® commercial substrate and 50% of washed sand, packed under screen (50%) with a micro sprinkler irrigation system. The experimental design used was completely randomized, with five treatments and ten replicates. Results were submitted to analysis of variance and the means of treatments to Student's t test at 5% probability. Evaluations were carried out at 45 days after installation and variables analyzed were: number of sprouts per cutting, length of the largest sprout, percentage of rooted cuttings and non-rooted live cuttings, length of the largest root, fresh and dry matter of roots, fresh and dry matter of shoots. Treatments that showed statistical difference were lentil extract, with the highest number of sprouts and the highest percentage of rooted cuttings and non-rooted live cuttings, and treatment with coconut water obtained the highest result in relation to variable length of the largest sprout, standing out as a promising sustainable alternative in the vegetative production of Bougainvillea seedlings
Impact of Parental Involvement on Pre-Tertiary Learners’ Academic Development and Performance in Ghana.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of parental involvement on pre-tertiary learners’ academic performance and development in some selected pre-tertiary schools in the Ada East District of Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The study adopted the sequential explanatory mixed method approach. That is, quantitative data were initially gathered through a 3-point Likert Scale response set structured questionnaire followed by a qualitative interview data. The study made use of fifty (50) respondents who were randomly and judgmentally sampled. Both questionnaire and interview guide were developed to collect data on two formulated research questions after which they were descriptively and thematically analysed respectively. The study revealed that learners’ academic development and performance move along with parents’ financial commitment and other socioeconomic related characteristics, parents’ level of training, education and other sociocultural related characteristics as well as parents’ relationship and communication with teachers, school community and the community outside. It was concluded therefore that both socioeconomic and sociocultural statuses of parents affect academic development and performance of learners in pre-tertiary schools to a large extent. Conclusion was also drawn on how parents’ relationship and communication with the school community, teachers and the community outside contribute to pre-tertiary school learners’ development and performance. The study strongly recommended full parental, community and stakeholders’ commitment in all academic related activities of learners
EXTRACTIVE RESERVES AND PUBLIC POLICIES INTENDED TO THE TRADITIONAL PEOPLES AND COMMUNITIES OF BRAZILIAN AMAZON
