COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF COMPACT FLUORESCENT LAMPS VERSUS LED LAMPS: AN ECONOMY FACTOR
The general objective of this article was to promote through bibliographic studies the two types of lamps, in addition to the comparative analysis of compact fluorescent lamps versus LED lamps: an economy factor. The specific objectives were: - to explain the conceptual precepts on: lighting engineering, definitions, characteristics, invention, operation, defect, quality and the environments used and the NBRs regulations; - address the economic impact generated by the choice of LED lamps and compact fluorescent lamps; - emphasize on an economic feasibility study on the use of LED lamps and compact fluorescent lamps. The justification of the study is related, in the promotion regarding the use of LED lamps and compact fluorescents, in the factor that generates savings. Since the areas related to artificial lighting are responsible for a significant portion of energy demand, both on a large scale - such as lighting for public roads or industrial buildings - and on smaller scales - in commercial and residential buildings. Therefore, its promotion is crucial in the context of economic viability. The lamps provide the luminous energy, through which a better luminous efficiency is obtained. Currently, there are several types of lamps available, different in several aspects: luminous intensity, reproduction colors, energy efficiency, physical composition, method for emitting light, specific purposes, prices, among others. It is worth mentioning that the lamps differ from each other not only by the different luminous fluxes that they radiate, but also by the different powers they consume. In order to compare them, it is necessary to know how many lumens are generated per absorbed watt. This greatness is called energy efficiency. Thus, the proposal of a study was evidenced, in order to promote these luminous resources, in addition to emphasizing their economic viability
Socio-economic model for the operation of a solar platform for the conservation and valorization of local milk in the village of Tatki in Northern Senegal
Livestock is a strategic sector that occupies nearly 60% of rural households and accounts for 4.3% of Senegal's Gross Domestic Product (ANSD, 2016). The dairy sector plays a decisive role in this sector, given its importance in the food security of the population and the income it generates (Alari et al, 2011). However, national milk production is in deficit; the country relies on imports of large quantities of milk powder, 25,000 tons/year, to cover its consumption needs (MEPA, 2016). These imports weigh heavily on public finances, up to 60 billion FCFA/year, thus accentuating the trade balance deficit, which was 2,977 billion FCFA in 2016 (ANSD, 2018). The analysis of the milk value chain highlights, in addition to the difficulties of securing production in the dry season, the poor access to energy in production areas (Enda Energie, 2015). Thus, in these localities, the milk can neither be preserved nor processed to be valorized and allow producers to earn stable incomes. It is in this context that a milk valorization platform was installed in 2016, in the village of Tatki located in a dairy basin in northern Senegal. After two years of operation of the platform, the financial results showed real difficulties in making the business of selling fresh milk to dairy industries profitable, given the landlocked nature of the area. Indeed, the cost price is 320 CFA francs per liter, for a price proposed by the industrialist set at 325 CFA. According to economic calculations, the floor price of a liter of fresh milk should be set at 550 CFA francs, for a minimum average commercialized volume of 471 liters per day, within the framework of a concessional credit at a rate of 5%. These conditions do not correspond to the reality of the current market and could not be applied without a subsidy. Thus, in order to make the platform profitable, it seems essential to add value to the milk by processing it on site. In this regard, the production of yogurt has given very interesting results that could be replicated in other villages in the northern zone. The financial analysis of the activity, for financing at a subsidized rate of 7.5% per year for a period of 7 years and a deferred repayment of 2 years, shows a rate of return of 18% for a period of 15 years, when local milk is processed into yogurt. The wealth generated (10% NPV) amounts to 227,269,450 FCFA and the time to recover the capital invested is 3.90 years.
 
Analysis of The Role of The Government and Ventural Capital On the Development of Startup in Indonesia: Study on Assistantku.Com and Qiwii.Id
This study aims to analyze the role of the Government and Venture Capital in the development of startups in Indonesia. Research was conducted on startup companies in 2017 - 2020, analysis from the startup side comes from Qiwii.id which represents successful startups to date and failed Assistantku.com. On the other hand, analysis also comes from the Government and venture capital. The data search method uses direct interviews to data sources, then strengthened by analysis of research data from various parties such as dailysocial.id, Global Startup Genome, Techinasia.com, MIKTI, and various other parties. The research results prove that the Government does not play a direct role in the development of startups in Indonesia, but through the ecosystem, marketing support and regulations. Meanwhile, the taxation aspect of startups does not really have an impact on startups, because the majority of startups do not have income above IDR 4.8 billion (not including the taxpayer category). In terms of Venture Capital, it actually plays an active role in the development of startups because the nature of venture capital which also owns startup shares makes the commitment of both parties to develop their startups high. These various conditions are consistent with the balanced scorecard review in each startup
The Functional characterization of biofortified sweet potato flour dried at different temperatures
Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.) is an abundant source of carotenoids, and the processing of its tubers as flour is an alternative to add value and expand its use. The objective was to characterize flour from the pulp of biofortified sweet potato dried at different drying temperatures. Biofortified sweet potatoes (accession CNPH1210) were dried in a forced air ventilation oven, under four temperature conditions: 45, 55, 65 and 75 °C. Drying continued until the sliced roots reached moisture content of 14 % (d.b.). Fibers, phenolic compounds, carotenoids, β-carotene, antioxidant capacity by ABT and DPPH, scanning electron microscopy, high-field magnetic resonance imaging, infrared absorption spectrometry were evaluated. Flours obtained from sliced roots dried at 45, 55, 65 and 75 ºC showed stability in their morphological characteristics. The temperature of 45 °C was the most indicated for the production of biofortified sweet potato flours, as the produced flours had higher contents of bioactive compounds, being a significant source of carotenoids

How does the senior manager of a public organization practice the strategy and mobilize his team to enable continuously, in the organization where it is located: meeting its mission, stakeholder needs and the dynamics of the internal and external environment? This question guides the research of this article which also presents the structuring of a framework that brings together four academic approaches - Carlos Matus' Situational Strategic Planning (1991; 1997; 2005), as a central element; Whittington's Strategy as a Social Practice (1997; 2002; 2004; 2006); Freeman's Stakeholder Theory (2010); and Burns' Transformational Leadership (1978; 2003). Data were collected in semi-structured interviews and treated qualitatively by Thomas's inductive analysis (2006), the Gibbs coding and categorization method (2009) and the matching presented by Trochim (1989). The framework should serve as a reference for the action of the manager regarding the mentioned issue
Issues on the optimization of bioreactors of microalgae and cyanobacteria crops for hydrogen and bioproduct productions: microalgae and cyanobacteria crops for hydrogen and bioproduct productions
Optimizing the design and operating parameters for optimum production of hydrogen and other bioproducts is a necessary step to address the rate of production of this energy input. Optimization is basically based on the appropriate choice of microalgae strain along with the available growth conditions. This paper presents a simplified review of the possible monitoring variables for microalgae and cyanobacteria crops. In addition, the design of open pond bioreactors and photobioreactors (PBR) that allow greater control of monitoring and crop parameters were presented. The physicochemical bioproduct characterization, such as fatty acids constituent and gases, is an aspect to be considered. The use of the optimization of the physical-chemical properties for their subsequent processing may improve the production of biofuels and biomass. In addition, the generation of hydrogen in the photosynthetic cycle of bioreactors based on microalgae cultures is presented as a solution to energy demand. And finally, we comment on some findings obtained from Multiphysics computational modeling carried out in PBRs
Prevalence and Current Practices of Self-Medication among Students of the Biomedicine Degree at the Health Sciences School
Self-medication is often seen as a solution for the immediate relief of symptoms, however, bringing serious consequences to consumer's health and serious public health problems in Brazil and the world. Still, regarding self-medication, the conduct of University students in the health area is observed, since the habit in this group is high. Given these facts and the need for epidemiological and toxicological evidence on self-medication of this school group, this study aims to verify the prevalence of self-medication in Biomedicine Degree students of the Universidade Brasil. It is a cross-sectional study conducted with 63 scholars from the first three graduation years of the Biomedicine degree at the Universidade Brasil, in Fernandópolis, São Paulo. A validated questionnaire with social and medication consumption variables was applied, followed by statistical analysis by the Mann-Whitney test. As a result, self-medication was considered an option for 59 of the participants, most of them juniors, female, aged between 18 and 20, with no previous college degree, with medical insurance and aware of possible health risks, even after access to classes or online surveys. The clinical condition preceding self-medication included mainly headache, myalgia, fever, and allergies. There was a preference for anthelmintic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic medication, mainly antibiotics, and central nervous system stimulants. The habit of self-medication increases, gradually, during the graduation period, therefore is suggested the implementation of an educational campaign in the Biomedicine course curriculum to undo this cycle of chemical substance consumption
A Teacher knowledge as a student: socialization practices by pedagogical reflection
The teaching knowledge starts from the premise of reflection and dialogue of the practices experienced by the teacher. Thus, the objective of this research is to analyze the main discussions of the research project ‘Teaching Knowledge of Students of the Pedagogy Course - PARFOR (National Program for Basic Education Teacher Training). The method adopted was through dialogued workshops, with a total of four workshops with themes and discussions about teaching knowledge, entitled as: ‘The teaching practice in the classroom’; ‘I woman, I academic’; ‘Pleasure and Suffering in teaching practice’; ‘The academic life’. The new epistemology of knowledge leads the teacher to reflect in a critical perspective to find a solution, but also to learn new knowledge and transmit in their work / school context
The Effectiveness of Using Costa and Kallick's Habits of Mind in Developing Achievement and Some Visual Thinking Skills of First Year Preparatory School Pupils
This research aims at investigating the effectiveness of using Costa and Kallick's Habits of Mind in developing achievement and some visual thinking skills of first-year preparatory school pupils. To achieve that, the researcher designed the following: a list of Habits of Mind in the light of Costa and Kallick and converting it into educational goals which can be achieved after teaching geometry for the first year prep school pupils; Teacher's guide and pupils worksheets for teaching "geometry and measurement" unit of the first year prep school pupils according to Costa and Kallick's Habits of Mind; an achievement test of "geometry and measurement" unit for the second term of the first year prep school pupils and finally, visual thinking skills test. The current research used quasi-experimental research through applying it to a group of female pupils of the first year prep school. The sample consisted of (100) female pupils of Beni Ahmed prep school (1) in Minia Governorate, Egypt. It was divided into two groups: the experimental and control group. The control group consisted of (50) pupils taught with the traditional method, while the experimental group consisted of (50) pupils taught using Costa and Kallick's Habits of Mind. The results have shown that pupils' grades of the experimental group are higher than other group grades on achievement and some visual thinking skills. The researcher introduced some recommendations such as the necessity to set up professional development programs for training mathematics teachers in order to develop pupils' Habits of Mind, the necessity also to train student teachers of mathematics in the faculty of education to develop Habits of Mind. Moreover, Geometric content in the preparatory stage should be enriched with different educational activities that contribute to developing learners' visual thinking.
 
Analysis of risk factors for osteopenia and osteoporosis among adults and elderly in primary health care
Objective: To analyze the distribution of risk factors for osteopenia and osteoporosis among adults and elderly in primary care. Method: sectional study of quantitative approach. Random sample extracted from registered adults and elderly from the five Family Health Strategy units belonging to an Expanded Family Health and Primary Care Center in Dourados, MS. Data collected between March and December 2015. The sample consisted of 44 adults and 103 elderly, of which only 109 performed all examinations. Body mass index, bone densitometry, serum calcium, 25 serum hydroxyvitamin D and a structured questionnaire were used. Results: The factors that were significantly associated with the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis (p <0,05) were female gender, alcohol consumption and normal body mass index. Conclusion: the identification of these risk factors made it possible to trace their distribution profile, which will be of great value for carrying out health promotion actions and prevention of these diseases in Primary Health Care
