The effectiveness of the Internal Control System as a regulatory element in Public Pension Expenses for Accountabilty
This article used theorists to reinforce data on the effectiveness of the Internal Control System as an instrument that regulates public pension expenditure for Accountabilty. This topic allows the understanding of the importance of internal control as a practice that helps in the quality and results of an organization, because Accountability represents the obligation of accountability for the performance of a work from the responsibility of a delegated authority. How much and how the Internal Control System can assist the manager in decisions? The general objective is to analyze the effectiveness of the internal control system in order to serve pension institutions more effectively. The methodology was bibliographic, exploring magazines and websites, besides the Brazilian legislation; the data collection was carried out at the Public Servants Welfare Institute of the State of Rondônia (IPERON). It was possible to conclude that it is necessary for IPERON's Internal Control Sector to develop its activities according to its mission and vision so that qualitative results have priorities
Analysis of Nursing Team Knowledge About Phlebitis and Its Related Factors
Phlebitis is one of the local complications related to intravenous therapy, which must be managed by the nursing team. This study analyzed the knowledge of the nursing team about phlebitis and its main risk factors, prevention, and control measures. This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative design carried out with 124 nursing professionals from a Brazilian university hospital. The data collection was carried out between the period of August 2018 to July 2019 for that, the researchers applied a multiple-choice questionnaire. The results showed the equivalence of the three nursing categories in terms of knowledge about phlebitis, however, there was a discrepancy concerning the phlebitis visualization scale, use of warm compresses, dressings, chemical properties of the solutions and factors intrinsic to the patient. The need to implement permanent education among professionals became evident
Pedagogical Praxis and Educational Practices in Pós-Critical Theory: Rethinking concepts and methods
The changes that occur in the educational field are nourished by the rationality of different paradigms, with post-structuralism and post-modern thinking determining in the (re)configuration of educational practices in contemporary times. This article aims to reflect on the contributions of Post-Critical Theory in the formulation, understanding and development of pedagogical praxis and educational practice in terms of conceptualization and methodology. The proposal comes from the epistemological, social and educational changes brought about by the reflections of the Post-Critical Theory, instigating us to raise elements to promote a dialogue that can collaborate to meet the theoretical-practical demands brought by the referred scientific approach. The ideas are based both on authors who analyze the concept of praxis and educational practices (SOUZA, 2012), as well as on those who validate the influence of the post-structuralist paradigm and post-modern thinking such as Jean-François Lyotard (1984), Gadamer (1997) and Habermas (1987a, 1987b), who approach hermeneutics and dialectics as possibilities of methodological composition for data analysis. And, in this aspect, we anchored, too, with Heiddeger (2005a, 2005b) who helps in the intelligibility of the hermeneutic circle. The intention is to promote reflection on the concept of educational practices and their epistemological implications from the perspective of Post-Critical Theory so that it is possible to understand current social phenomena and, thus, strengthen the methodological proposals that are in line with the problems undertaken by this current theoretical. Our considerations, therefore, provide subsidies that broaden the debate about educational praxis and pedagogical praxis as sine quan non categories in the educational field
Disruptive Environmental Technologies of High Population Impact Aimed at the Disposal of Recyclable Materials
Technology has been occupying more and more space in the daily lives of people in big cities, which ends up giving rise to the current discussions on sustainability. Thus, this study aimed to make a theoretical literature review at the beginning of the discussions on the first “green” technologies, their development and patents, as well as on Brazilian inventions aimed at the processing of solid waste. In addition, concepts of innovation of information and disruptive technologies for commercial purposes were addressed, thus presenting two technological tools given their high educational content and great ability to change the way people think and their consumption habits. Finally, it was emphasized the importance of studies focused on the behavior of technologies in the face of contemporary issues such as sustainability and environmental preservation
Integrating technology in secondary school: an experience a flipped classroom and Inquiry-Based Learning for a science class
The continuous advance of digital technologies reinforces the need to provide more attractive teaching environments. Compatible environments, not antagonistic, with the way children and adolescents learn. This work presents an experience of integrating technology in the science discipline in elementary school. 44 students from the 5th year of a public school participated in the research. Methodologically, the inverted classroom technique was chosen. To support the activities and make the contents available, a didactic sequence based on Inquiry-Based Learning, made available in a VLE. Two questionnaires were applied: one with 12 items, which aimed to obtain registration data and identify the students' profile; and another, which sought to identify the students' perception of the new didactic experience. This second had 18 items, arranged on a 5-point Likert scale, divided into 4 domains (Usability, Perception of Learning, Satisfaction and Utility). The average obtained from the items was 4.28 points on the Likert scale. This revealed that the experience was well evaluated and approved by the participants, and that the presented model of learning was pleasant, in addition to arousing the students' interest in research
Identification of Variables and Information Requirements for Implementation of Traceability in Egg Production
Brazil is the 3rd largest egg producer in the Americas and for production to be achieved, it must be organized to produce with quality and productivity. For all quality requirements to be met, guidance documents such as EMBRAPA and the Brazilian Poultry Union cover all stages of the production process, from the origin of the inputs to the later stages of production. In addition to these instructions, other legislation dealing with traceability is used to regulate production processes in food chains. In this context, the objective of this work is to confront the main national and international standards related to traceability to verify common requirements and that can compose a system of data collection. The work was divided into three stages and presented as a result the common requirements: sanitary management in the breeding and rearing phases, lineage, input control, poultry vaccination, poultry feeding, sanitary monitoring, egg collection information, eggs, and biosafety, product description, batch identification, date of shipment and data of the sending company and data of the company of destination, in addition to the information retrieval system
Diagnostic aspects of juvenile ossificant fibroma: A case study
Juvenile ossifying fibroma is an uncommon, fast-growing benign neoplasm classified within the group of fibro-osseous lesions that directly affect the face and the jaws. Although it is not followed by metastasis, it usually presents a highly aggressive nature. It is histopathologically divided into two patterns: trabecular and psammomatoid. It can be differentiated through the age of the patients, anatomic location and behavior of the lesion. In this context, this paper reports on the findings of a rare pathology case: juvenile ossifying fibroma, focusing primarily on its clinical, medical imaging and histopathological features characteristics, in order to familiarize the dentist, provide correct diagnosis and the most appropriate treatment
Risk Return Optimization Using the Knapsack Problem in The Formation of a Stocks Portfolio. Case Study of a Brazilian Investment Site.
In this work, the composition of a portfolio was proposed by using the Knapsack problem and verified its effectiveness in comparison to a portfolio of shares on an investment website. The programming variables were based on the Markowitz risk theory of variance and following collaborators for their studies. And from the chosen portfolio, the efficient frontier was elaborated analyzing the performance of the investment site portfolio during 30 days. The portfolio obtained exceeded the percentage performance obtained from the investment site in the same period when considering the maximum possible return, the minimum global variance and also in the naive distribution
Review of Clinical Factors That Cause Acne Vulgaris
Acne vulgaris is a common skin disorder caused by inflammation and/or blockage of the pilosebaceous follicle. This research is a literature review study that is descriptive in nature and seeks to compile information on the factors related to the etiopathogenesis of the clinical manifestations of acne vulgaris. A survey was conducted in the Web of Science database in the period from January to May 2019, using the keywords "acne vulgaris, etiopathogenesis and pathophysiology". The etiopathogenesis of acne vulgaris is multifactorial, but most studies list the following factors: like diet, daily habits, age, genetics, abnormalities in the production of sebum, follicular hyperkeratinization, increased colonization by Cutibacterium (formerly Probionibacterium) acnes, periglandular dermal inflammation, oxidative stress and immune reactions of the patient. Topical and/or systemic treatments for acne vulgaris, often includes retinoid-associated antibiotics. However, improper use of these can lead to bacterial resistance, in addition, it may trigger adverse effects at epidermis and dermis. The results obtained in this study are important in relation to the treatment of the pathogenesis of acne vulgaris. It is believed that this information - when analyzed together - can help with a better definition of the therapeutic protocol
