Efficient use of the Generators for the Environmental Economic Dispatch from the energy system, including solar photovoltaic generation

    No full text
The classic Economic Dispatch (ED) problem considers only the cost of power generation by thermal generators, often disregarding the safety parameters of the electrical network, environmental costs and especially the importance of predictive maintenance of the generators, when considering environmental costs in the optimization of ED this becomes a multi-objective problem Environmental Economic Dispatch (EED). Considering the global pressure to reduce emissions of pollutants in the atmosphere and environmental sustainability, incorporating the generation of Renewable Energies (RE) or Green Energy in the electricity grid is indispensable. Solar energy is becoming an important part of the power generation portfolio in many regions due to the fast decline in its costs and political incentives that favor the generation of clean energy sources. This article uses the Ant Lion Optimizer (ALO) method to solve the problem and EED restricted to the grid in a hybrid system (thermoelectric and photovoltaic). The results of the optimization problem were simulated in MATLAB. This research included 01 thermoelectric with 06 generators and 13 solar plants

Congenital oropharyngeal teratoma is a rare tumor subtype with cells from the three germ layers, majorly being benign. Whereas teratoma develops early in intrauterine life, thus affecting the growth and development of adjacent structures, the purpose of this case report is to present the sequelae of this tumor in a child's oral cavity. Female child, 2 years and 3 months old referred by the otorhinolaryngologist for dental evaluation. The mother´s main complaint was the the child could not close her mouth. According to the child's medical record, at 34th week of gestation, during the routine ultrasound examination, the presence of the anechoic tumor mass was observed without Doppler signal, presenting a 3.2cm x 2.4cm diameter outside through the oral cavity. At 17 and 32 days of life, respectively, the excision of the largest and residual tumor located on the floor of the mouth was performed. Upon anatomopathological examination, the tumor with was classified as a mature teratoma. In the intraoral examination, a deep and atresia palate incomplete cleft palate, bone growth in the region of the posterior alveolar ridge of the maxilla, and in the posterior region of the mandible on the left side, "V" shaped mandible and microglossia, crowding were observed dental agenesis of the lower lateral incisors, absence of caries lesions, gingivitis and enamel development defects. The child will remain under the regular dental pediatric follow-up. Several sequelae were observed in the child's oral cavity and the need for multi-professional follow-up after excision of congenital oropharyngeal teratoma

    No full text
The present work aims to analyze the development of projects with resources from CT-Petro; since its creation. This Sectorial Fund envisioned the technological development of the Oil and Natural Gas production chain in the North, Northeast and Midwest regions. This study sought to survey the actions of the projects developed and whether patents were somehow created with the financial resources released through FINEP for the realization of CT-Petro. The unfolding of the activities was carried out with the application of questionnaires to public institutions registered in the Electronic System of the Citizen Information Service – e-Sic-CGU. From the tabulation of the information collected from the sample, the direction given was to compare with the information from the patent application filing database, of the National Institute of Industrial Property - INPI, in order to identify the percentage values of filing applications of these three regions and how the Sectoral Fund has impacted the development of patents and their respective application for protection. The survey carried out showed that even after the implementation of CT-Petro there was little change in the national scenario of IP productivity, aimed at the Oil and Natural Gas production chain, in Brazilian territory. This research is qualitative and quantitative, with the application of a semi-open questionnaire and data collection on INPI database websites, technological innovation agency websites, technological innovation centers, scientific journals, dissertations, theses and access platform information from the Brazilian Federal Government

    No full text
This text is part of a research carried out between 2015 and 2016 aimed to investigate the social representations developed by women who gave birth in water about this type of birth. This is a qualitative study carried out with women who experienced waterbirth in a public and private hospital in Portugal. This article is part of this research, seeking to focus on an important theme seized in this investigation: obstetric violence. We seek to discuss the forms of obstetric violence present in the reports of women who have experienced waterbirth. Methodologically, the research was qualitative, using the snowball technique for access to participants and interviews with them. As a result, the existence of resistance and reactions of women is highlighted who, by naming the practices of obstetric violence, including disrespect in the birth scenario, sought to break in different ways with the asymmetry of the relationship with the child health professional, either by silencing and seeking contact with another professional in the care relationship or by denying the impositions to which they were submitted

Effective Source Term Discretizations for Higher Accuracy Finite Volume Discretization of Parabolic Equations

    No full text
A finite volume method is applied to develop space-time discretizations for parabolic equations based on an equation error method.A space-time expansion of the local equation error based on flux integral formulation of the equation is first designed using a desiredframework of neighboring quadrature points for the solution and local source terms. The quadrature weights are then determined through aminimization process for the error which constitutes all local compact fluxes about each centroid within the computational domain. In utilizing a local source term distribution to account for diffusive fluxes, the right minimizing quadrature weights and collocationpoints including subgrid points for the source terms may be determined and optimized for higher accuracies as well as robust higher-ordercomputational convergence. The resulting local residuals form a more complete description of the truncation errors which are then utilizedto assess the computational performances of the resulting schemes. The effectiveness of the discretization method is demonstrated by theresults and analysis of the schemes

Hiv And Hepatitis B Virus Co-Infection: Frequency And Presence Of Hepatic Injuries

    No full text
The clinical importance of HBV-HIV co-infection comes from the fact that both viruses are highly transmissible and share similar routes of transmission. Co-infected individuals are more likely to develop liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. In view of the above, this manuscript is a quantitative, sectional, descriptive study with secondary data obtained from the analysis of medical records of 88 individuals with chronic hepatitis B. Thus, the purpose of this manuscript is to estimate the frequency of HBV-HIV co-infection and to identify the presence of liver damage. The results revealed an HBV-HIV co-infection rate of 9.1% (8//88), with two individuals being infected with the HIV-HBV-HCV virus concurrently. A large percentage of patients are male and heterosexual. There was a relationship between risky sexual behavior (sex without using a condom, multiple sexual partners) and the acquisition of hepatitis B and HIV. Related to the presence of liver lesions, it was observed that only one patient is diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, but there were no cases of hepatocellular carcinoma. Considering the increase in the quality of life and survival of people with HIV, the need to maintain protocols for the investigation of hepatocellular carcinoma is evident, thus seeking early detection and treatment

    No full text
This article aims to study mediation and its various approaches and forms of action, to identify its applicability in the professional legal arena. It has been with the assumption the existence of an apparent conflict that permeates this profession whose human actions already are established, but that have been impacted by the actions not human (technology) based on the economics of information and knowledge. It is questionable C atom to Information mediation can act in the transformations suffered by law in face of the changes that the Information and Communication Technologies-ICT have caused in society. We opted for research of an applied nature, contemplating intervention in social reality, with a qualitative approach, with an exploratory objective, whose method is the inductive one, as the general conclusion is based on a set of particular observations from the literature. As a result, important theoretical elements were identified for the debate on mediation and its ability to lead in the transformation processes of advocacy

    No full text
This study aims to investigate the theoretical contributions on organisational behaviour and meritocracy. The methodology used involved exploratory analysis, based on bibliometric research. The data were extracted from the Scopus and Web of Science journal databases, accessed through the journals portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and through the restricted access of the Federated Academic Community (Café) of the Instituto Federal Goiano (IF Goiano). The result obtained indicated the combination of the search terms, "organisational behaviour and merit". (Scopus and Web of Science). It was used as technical support, a set of open source solutions, R software, with techniques for filtering duplicate and non-pertinent publications, totaling 63 articles, ranging from the years 2015 to June 2021. It is clear that there is a concentration of terms reporting on public educational organisations, which focus on issues about performance and the positive effects of human behaviour. Finally, it was identified that the term merit is closer to contexts involving perspectives, gender, and market, while meritocracy subsidizes studies that address organisational social inequality and human resource management
