BODY AND CORPOREITY IN THEIR HISTORICAL AND SOCIAL COURSE FOR POSTMODERNITY

    No full text
Post-modernity configures as the time marked by the valorization and cult of the body, focused on aesthetics and narcissistic standards of youth and beauty that emphasize egalitarian stereotypes to all individuals. The body, published in the media as a symbolic product of success, takes its place on the social front. Thus, the body appears overvalued, becoming an idealized target of unattainable perfection, through the excessive appreciation of thinness, attempts to delay the natural aging process, through aesthetic procedures, and the incessant search to fit in dictated beauty standards culturally. This article is based on the analysis of bibliographic discussions aimed at contextualizing the body, corporeality, beauty and social standards

Perception of Health Care Workers Regarding Ludic Activities in Pediatric Hospitals

    No full text
Infant hospitalization is a difficult process for a developing child because it is related to a series of losses and trauma. In this sense, ludic treatment contributes to ease hospital permanence, thus favoring child development and, in certain aspects, even the cure. The sense of life finitude afflicts the child, the family, and those that accompany it during hospitalization. In this context, the perceptions of workers composing the multidisciplinary health care team regarding the application of ludic activities in pediatric public hospitals in São Luís/MA were investigated. Therefore, a descriptive exploratory research was carried out in two hospitals that had a pediatric treatment macrostructure within their functional dependencies with all medical and complementary specialties available for the infant public, thus comprising a multidisciplinary health team. Participants comprised 8 workers (2 doctors, 2 nurses, 2 psychologists and 2 occupational therapists), including 6 women and 2 men with an average of 6 years of professional experience in pediatric hospitals. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Results indicated that ludic activities are relevant for children socialization and integration in the hospitalization reality. The health care workers from the multidisciplinary health team emphasize that ludic such activities in pediatric hospitals contribute to the child’s health recovery and therefore to the pathology treatment

Analysis of environmental liabilities and water resources management for the development of the hydraulic fracturing activity in the Paraná Basin, Brazil

    No full text
Brazil has great potential to produce unconventional reservoirs. However, the demand for water resources for the exploration of these reservoirs is also great and may even make the development of projects unfeasible if water management is not properly carried out. In this context, this article aims to analyze the relationship of hydraulic fracturing with the water resources of the Paraná Basin, as well as to identify the environmental liabilities in this basin. To this end, a vast bibliographic review was carried out and a survey of the history of environmental liabilities in the states of São Paulo and Paraná was carried out, as well as an analysis of the Brazilian legislation on hydraulic fracturing and other countries. It can be concluded that to minimize the impact of fracking activities on water resources, it is necessary to establish clear, objective rules that are easy to follow by the authorities to ensure their development in suitable regions

Nowadays, Brazil has consolidated it self as the biggest exporter of soybean beans in the world, and the brazilian state that has most contribrited to this rate is the state of Mato Grosso, and for its geographic location, Mato Grosso also its products to the ports of Arco Norte. This study proposes to develop a model for optimalization of the logistic corridors of transport, for the soybean from the mato-grossense destined for the ports of Arco Norte, trying to obtain a more effective logistic in the face of quantitative indicators such as: transport price, municipal production and dock capacity, the corridors that are being studied are BR-163 (MT-PA), Ferrogrão (EF-170) and the Araguaia-Tocantins waterway. The analisys for the corridors, will be through a linear programming, which is a method capable of enable hierarchization processes, which contributes to the analysis of the proposed problem. In this sense, the results show that the intermodal transport, using the ferrogrão and the waterway Araguaia-Tocantins, were the least costly routes transporting mato-grossense soybean to the Arco Norte Amazonian ports.&nbsp

Learning takes place in the interaction between people through the teaching process, from which the academic community appropriates socially established knowledge. In nursing, teaching education is essential for nursing education, and the role of the teacher in this aspect is fundamental for teaching-learning. Identify the students' expectations in relation to the discipline of hospital management, as well as the gaps found in the methodologies applied in the teaching process. The field research used a questionnaire structured by the researchers. 31 students from the last year of nursing participated in the research. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Unifunec. The data were analyzed in the Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft Office Word programs. Of the 31 students interviewed, 55% (17) had a basic notion of how to identify the functions of the nurse manager, 16% (5) could not identify, 16% (5) knew how to identify with some difficulty, 13% (4) easily identified. Regarding the methodologies applied, technological advances were monitored, 51% (16) considered that partially, 39% (12) considered yes, 10% (3) considered no. It was identified that the discipline of hospital management generates many expectations in the students and, at the same time, point out gaps in the construction of this knowledge. Further research is suggested to find alternatives that allow the proximity of reality to learning and in the preparation of nurses to deal with managerial functions

Balneario Rincão (State of Santa Catarina, Brazil) has been undergoing a major urbanization process due to the growing demand of the population for beaches in summer seasons. In this sense, this work analyzed the phenomenon of the second residence through the relationship of the subjects with their beach houses. The research is qualitative, exploratory, with semi-structured interviews and unsystematic observation. Eleven middle-class individuals aged 27-72 years participated in the study. The process of appropriation of the second residences was analyzed through the concepts of identification, personification, cultivation, sense of belonging, essential place and identity of the place. It was found that the subjects take ownership of the second residence and its use is strongly related to sociability and family and also to moments of leisure that often do not have in their primary residences in urban centers

A collaborative Mathematics Learning Using Differentiated Pedagogy

    No full text
Our contribution represents a new method of learning mathematics by group through the differentiated pedagogy whose goal is to reduce the heterogeneity between learners in the classroom by using their knowledge, skills, and social profile. Indeed, there are different ways to implement a differentiated pedagogy. These methods must be considered by the teacher in order for his rehabilitation to be effective in student learning. Our approach specifically concerns differentiation by situation, it allows students to self-assess, and this to situate their knowledge and skills. In case of difficulty when assessing the learner, the approach uses group learning so that learners interact with each other without using the teacher. In the next works, we wish to integrate into our exerciser platform a module for the interaction of the students in order to discuss the difficulties and share the information between them
