Aware of this reality, this work develops an assessment of the implementation of a port project in the northern region of Brazil, using Monte Carlo methodology-based risk analysis software, computer simulations are generated for a 35-year lifespan, resulting in the distribution and tornado readings of the main existing risks and the optimal market rate (14,7%), for 100% of project feasibility
FREE SOFTWARE: A Social, Educational, Collaborative and Open to Human Inventiveness Network.
Technological advances are present in different segments of society and, in education, social transformations are consolidated as an important element for technical, human and political development, for that, it is necessary to dialogue with technologies that converge to the same look, in this sense. , Free Software represents an advance in this perception of collaborative movement, acting as a link to a scenario that represents the sum of all knowledge in the teaching versus learning relationship. This model used in Free Software, which prioritizes the subject in the construction of knowledge, constitutes an important ally for the consolidation of the elements present in the spaces of education, whether due to the cultural diversity resulting from the existing relations between the production communities, whether by the amount of existing technological resources in the different areas of knowledge and for the different levels of education. The graphic representation, supported by the theory of networks, about the existing relationships between the different areas of knowledge and the various levels of education on the quantity of software cataloged in the database of the Blog Software Livre na Educação (BSLE) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), although not exhausted by the present study, presents itself as an important analysis tool for discussions that dialogue with this theme, and which aims, in addition to bringing the reader closer to the theme, a computational model on the elements present in these relationships, contributing to the analysis of potentialities and specific needs in each area, especially in the educational context
MODELING OF URBAN BUS DRIVERS' THERMAL SENSATION VOTE AS A FUNCTION OF THE THERMAL COMFORT PARAMETERS
Research into thermal comfort in vehicle environments has been gaining prominence among researchers due to the impacts generated, which range from maintaining the thermal sensation of the occupants, to ensuring the satisfactory performance of drivers in terms of safety in traffic and in energy sustainability. With this background, this study aimed to evaluate the thermal comfort parameters that influence the thermal sensation of urban bus drivers. To this mean, the four environmental parameters in the cabins of urban buses were measured and the two personal parameters of three drivers of the same bus line were estimated, and the influences of these six parameters on the subjective thermal sensation were analyzed using the Ordinal Logistic Regression Models of the Generalized Linear Models methodology. The field survey was performed from September to December 2021 and over three daily trips, totaling 180 measurements of thermal conditions. As a result, both the Predicted Mean Vote index and the thermal sensation votes indicate that the environments of the bus drivers' cabins analyzed are, in general, within the scale of thermal discomfort by heat, with a predominance of the "Warm" class. Furthermore, the model adjustments converged on only three distinct models and they demonstrated that the thermal sensation was influenced by the environmental parameters, and not by the personal parameters. Finally, we concluded that the model that best fit to the sensation was that as a function of the air temperature, with a moderate explanatory ability due to the value of Pseudo R2 = 0.669. In addition, the proportional chance curves of this model indicated the following air temperature ranges for the respective heat thermal discomfort classes: when ta < 28°C, the greater chances are in the choice of thermal neutrality and the other classes of thermal discomfort by cold that were not reached by this research, which were not achieved by this research; for 28°C ≤ ta ≤ 30°C the tendency is higher for a slightly warm sensation; for values in the range 30.5°C ≤ ta ≤ 32.5°C it is more natural that they opine on the heat scale; and for values of ta > 33°C the tendency is for conductors to feel extremely hot
CHILDHOOD MOURNING AND LAMENT - WAYS OF TREATMENT
Many children experience mourning and lament from death without having acquired the skills that are necessary to overcome these specific situations. Furthermore, they may not have any support on this matter with the danger to develop psychological issues in relation with grief and mourning. Therefore, it is very important for parents, teachers and therapists to recognize that there is high risk that can lead to complicated grief. Also, it is essential to take into account the child’s developmental stage and to communicate in open channel so children will be able to express their feelings and emotions. In any case it is very important to help them encounter the felling of loss and learn to live with it
USE OF BACTERIOPHAGES TO CONTROL Salmonella Enteritidis IN FECAL FERMENTATION
Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) is one of the main serovar of Salmonella enterica involved in foodborne infections. When intestinal infection by SE requires treatments using antimicrobial, cases can be aggravated if the cause bacteria are resistant to the drugs used. A possible alternative to control these antimicrobial resistant bacteria is phagotherapy, which is characterized by the use of bacteriophages that will lead to the lysis of the target bacteria. The objective was to evaluate the in vitro efficacy of a bacteriophage cocktail for the inactivation of SE in fecal fermentation. Fecal samples were collected from healthy donors and the fecal fermentation preparation was carried out. For the tests, a pool with three different SE isolates was used, and the bacteriophage cocktail was elaborated with the phages UPF_BP1, UPF_BP2 and UPF_BP3. Four different treatments were evaluated: the group called ASF, where the action of the bacteriophage cocktail against a pool of SE in fecal fermentation was tested; the CP1 group (positive control 1), in which only SE was inoculated in fecal fermentation; the CP2 group (positive control 2), in which the bacteriophage cocktail was inoculated in the fecal fermentation; and the CN group (negative control), containing only fecal fermentation. In all treatments the quantification of SE was performed, and in the ASF group, the quantification of phages was also performed. In the CP1 group there was a growth of 3,76 log10 UFC/mL, while in the ASF group there was a decrease in Salmonella showing 0,77 log10 UFC/mL. The results showed that the use of the bacteriophage cocktail against SE in fecal fermentation was able to reduce the amount of Salmonella in the sample. Despite not showing a significant difference (p=0.059), this in vitro sudy demonstrates the ability of phages to act against Salmonella in fecal fermentation, bringing positive evidence that corroborates the continuity of the study for future uses of phage therapy
OLYMPIAQUIZ: board game-based learning object for teaching the history of Olympic Athletics
The present work aimed to insert strategic tools with the use of board games in order to assist and facilitate learning about the history of Olympic games, highlighting the importance of working the Olympic context in the disciplines of Physical Education and History. Even with the advance of technology, teachers still find it difficult to teach their students in the classroom, because distractions and lack of interest are commonplace in the school environment. Thus, a systematic review of the literature was conducted from journals and academic articles, aiming at a deeper study on the theme addressed. With this, OlympiaQuiz was created, a board game focused on teaching the Olympic Games, exploring the social and historical context of the time, to encourage learning through games
CHALLENGES IN THE USE OF EXTRACORPORAL LIVERS TECHNOLOGIES
The human liver is a necessary organ in metabolism but when its working is harmed, can cause liver failure in varying degrees and raise the mortality rate. The only existing treatment for the disease so far is liver transplantation. Therefore, the objective of this research was to a evaluate the challenges of the artificial technologies of liver support (ATL) developed in the last nine years existing in the world. The technologies evaluated were those that consider the patient's need have a survival while waiting of the transplant or confirm that will not need the donated liver. This research is of type descriptive and bibliographical and was based on scientific articles published in the following databases: National Library of Medicine (PubMed), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Academic Google, Latin American and Caribean Literature in Health Sciences (LACLHS), Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Capes Journal (Brazil). In the studies found, was verified that extracorporeal liver support technologies of the bioartificial type and artificial liver do not guarantee sufficient patient survival. Although this technologies have some clinical benefit with their use, is possible that the recipient patients suffer from metabolic intoxication. So that technologies can produce survival expected in patients, should be considered three pillars: the disease, the technology used and the dose of therapy. This research is important because it will help in the development of new methodologies better suited to recipientes
Effects of Public Governance on Economic Development of the Municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Salvador
This research aims to identify the effects of public governance on the economic development of municipalities in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador (RMS) from 2015 to 2018. The statistical analysis was used in order to measure the association between public governance and the economic development of the Municipalities, using the Municipal Management Effectiveness Index (IEGM) as a governance proxy and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as a proxy for economic development per capita at current Municipal prices. This study is justified by the important reflection on the costs and benefits of implementing public governance mechanisms at the municipal level. According to recent literature and premises of IFAC and Supreme Audit Institutions, the application of public policies efficiently and effectively contributes to an improvement in public management with regard to transparency, integrity and accountability, which can result in advances in municipal economic development. The results of this research corroborate these studies, as they demonstrate that public governance positively and significantly influences the economic development of the thirteen municipalities analyzed
MEMORY IN THE QUILOMBO ALCANTARENSE DE ITAMATATIUA-MA: The focus on religiosity
The narratives about the development of the territory that comprises Itamatatiua are imprecise, as the historical data contrasts with the oral reports. Nevertheless, it is clear, both in the memory of the community and in the historical documentation, the direct link of this village with the Order do Carmelite (Carmelite Order), which had several projects in Alcântara, such as farms, potteries, salt pans, first hospitals for people with mental disorders, convent and church. The approach adopted in this article focuses on the religiosity present in the formation of the quilombola community in Itamatatiua, located in Alcântara/Maranhão. In the methodological track, field research was used, conducted in the place where people live and socialize, with due survey through data collection and an inductive method (descriptive accumulation in detail)
NEW HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CONSIDERATIONS OF THE POTTERS OF THE QUILOMBO OF ITAMATATIUA, IN ALCÂNTARA, MARANHÃO
The article focuses on the results obtained in research carried out in the Quilombo of Itamatatiua, in Alcântara, Maranhão. By means of Archeological Ethnography, a broad documental survey was carried out, with audiovisual records based on the potters' narratives. The cutout adopted in this research approaches the presentation of the historical documentation about the formation of the traditional territory of Itamatatiua, the slave labor; the abandonment of the land by the owners, once colonizers of the religious Carmelite orders and the permanence of the African descendant population in this region. The documental contribution provided the delineation of new evidences that point to a strong indigenous influence in the ceramic production, a fact that has been deconstructing assumptions, such as that, the referred craft would have been introduced in the colonial period in the Carmelite potteries
