Dumbbell Metamaterial with Absorbance in Terahertz Frequency Range
This paper presents the design and experimental characterization of a dumbbell-shaped metamaterial structure with absorbance in the terahertz frequency range. The proposed structure consists of a metallic dumbbell-shaped resonator placed on a substrate and covered with a thin layer of dielectric material. The structure exhibits a strong resonant behavior at a frequency of 0.9 THz due to the presence of the metallic resonator. The effect of different design parameters such as the size and shape of the resonator, the thickness of the dielectric layer, and the spacing between the resonators on the absorption properties of the metamaterial structure is investigated using full-wave simulations. The experimental results show that the proposed metamaterial structure exhibits a high absorbance of up to 80% at 0.9 THz, which makes it a promising candidate for various applications in terahertz technology, such as sensing, imaging, and spectroscopy
Identifying and Combating Unlawful Fishing Activities: A Classification-Based Approach
Illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing has become a very profitable business, with nearly $23.5 billion worth of fish stolen from the world’s oceans. Every year fishing business grows efficiently, and Illegal fishing is one of the big back steps in this business. Furthermore, many fish populations are pushed to extinction. This paper proposes illegal fishing detection using data analytics and machine learning techniques. The primary data was gathered from the Global Fishing Watch (GFW) and the data was analyzed to find whether the vessels are used for illegal or legal fishing based on the sensors attached to the vessel GFW found location data, type of the vessel, and speed of the vessel. Even with the available data, trying to solve this problem globally is a very difficult task. By these classification models (Logistic Regression, SVM, KNN, Naïve Bayes, XG Boost, Decision Tree, Random Forest Classifier), we can predict illegal fishing and can take necessary actions against the illegal fishing boats
Leaf Diseases Detection System Using Machine Learning
Our country's main business is agriculture. The majority of people reside in rural regions and rely solely on agricultural products for their livelihood. The quality and yield of agricultural goods will decline in any plant that has the disease. Research and illness detection are therefore crucial. For disease to be successfully controlled and inhibited for practical cultivation and food preservation, genuine crop disease exposure and identification are essential. For farmers to succeed, early illness detection and diagnosis are essential
A Comprehensive Mobile Application for Consolidated Delivery Services in the Indian Marketplace
The proposed study aims to investigate the potential demand and benefits of a mobile application that allows consumers to purchase and receive various types of merchandise, including food, groceries, pharmacy items, e-commerce products, and courier services, through a single platform. The research will focus on the Indian marketplace, where several specialized delivery apps currently exist, but no comprehensive solution offering all types of merchandise.
To gather data and evaluate the feasibility of the proposed app, the study could use a combination of methods, such as surveys, focus groups, and analysis of existing market trends and data. The research could also explore the potential impact of the app on the existing delivery market and its potential to disrupt traditional models
OCR Oriented Reading System for Blind People
The current engendering of the digital phones has prominent hardware endowment and a speedier operation that is robust and ample to evolve applications that facilitate the user to be a part of and act with the Universe at their own convenience. this method is an OCR scanning system that uses a camera application present in your smartphone consolidated with Optical Character Recognition (OCR). OCR may well be a mechanism that converts pictures of manuscripts or printed content into machine-encoded text. During this system, the application will scan and convert the content that is written in English (West Germanic language) accent into a speech format. By victimization of the Text to Speech Module speech output is generated. The seek of coming up with the type of voice/speech is to give out datum that is bestowed in the given image to the visually impaired people
IoT : Security & Challenges of 5G Network in Smart Cities
The fifth era (5G) will overwhelm in the brilliant urban areas where 5G gives every one of the offices most extreme security and privacy. As to administrations, superfluous mishap rates are expanding with digital assaults also, dangers. All security issues for 5 G-based framework will confront many difficulties like secure transportation administrations which is one of the 2030 drives in quite a large number nations. Safeguarding the infrastructure is then extremely significant of 5G-empowered IoT sharing of information against these assaults. This requires the analysts working in this space to propose different sorts of safety conventions under various kinds of classes, as key administration, client validation/gadget confirmation, access control/client access control, and interruption discovery. As the interest for portable information develops, versatile administrators and makers are confronted with a problem. There is a limited measure of radio recurrence range accessible at any one second, yet to satisfy client interest, they should further develop limit and convey higher correspondence rates. This paper gives bits of knowledge into the basic issues and challenges connected with the security, protection, and trust issues of 5G network
The Approaches Utilized in Queuing Modeling: A Systematic Literature Review
Queue scheduling is an important process that is used when processes can be divided into different classes based on the scheduling needs. In general, queue lengths and waiting times can be predicted with the use of a queuing model; especially, the importance of the services provided by any sector or organization for delivering effective services to their consumers highly depends on managing the queues in an effective manner. So, in general, analyzing and evaluating queues is more significant in fulfilling customer needs in a limited time. The applications and tactics developed earlier would not provide satisfactory solutions to solve this problem. But the studies done in the recent past have utilized newer technologies. Especially by incorporating Machine Learning techniques and various queuing models. During this study, a thorough analysis was carried out to discover the different strategies used in optimizing the queues by presenting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining available research perspective to queue management systems from 2016 to 2022. Initially 200 studies selected using seven electronic repositories and finally selected 14 for this analysis. The study’s findings reveals that most of the studies have used machine learning approaches, utilizing tools like ARENA,SIMIO and adapting various queuing algorithms to solve this problem
Financial Analysis Of A Hybrid Tidal Stream Energy System For Sustainable Island Electrification In The Philippines
Tidal Stream Energy (TSE) is emerging as an innovative solution to provide clean and reliable energy. TSE also has the benefit to conserve land, since the turbines are located in an offshore environment with strong tidal flows. This energy source has the opportunity to make a major difference in off grid areas, such as those found in the Philippines. As an archipelago of over 7000 islands, there are many “off grid” locations which are underserved or completely unserved with electricity.
The Philippine government has instituted a missionary electrification program designed to help the many off grid locations throughout the country. However, providing electricity for the citizens of these locations is difficult due to the high cost of produced energy in remote areas. To assist in this, the government has created a Universal Charge for Missionary Electrification (UCME), which is a subsidy from developed areas distributed to missionary areas to improve the affordability of generated power. However, the subsidy algorithm is largely based upon the OPEX of diesel plants
Review on IOT Based Fire Alarm Notification and Extinguisher System Saravanan
Because of the potential loss of life and property, a fire outbreak must be avoided at all costs. If left unattended, a fire can quickly spread and take days to extinguish. As a result, when this technology becomes available, it will aid in the reduction of uncontrollable this technology must be used to reduce or possibly eliminate this significant risk as a result of the cause of heavy damage. A fire alarm detection, notification, and extinguisher system was designed in this study. When a fire occurs, this system includes a GSM module that allows it to send SMS (short messaging service) notifications and phone calls to shop owners or house owners about the fire incident before the fire makes damage. The study also identifies a system that is both affordable and can be accessible by the general public and private sector, allowing it to be used to protect people and property in homes, offices, shops, public places, and schools. If and when the system is commercially available, fires. It has grown 50% because it will warn potentially harmful situations prior to a fire accidents. If the smoke sensor detects a temperature that is not within the range we specify, the fire alarm will sound using a buzzer; if the temperature exceeds the specified level, the photo will be sent to the owner via mail, and a call and message will be sent to the specified owner. If the owner confirms and sends a message indicating to turn on the pump, the extinguisher will activate
