Lifecycle Management Policy for Safety, Reliability and Maintainability is essential for the Railway interlocking Systems that provide movement authority to the train drivers. This policy covers all the phases of system Lifecycle right from planning to replacement at the end of service life. Some less considered activities are procurement guidelines, effects of human errors and procedure audits. Involvements of management and staff are equally important. This paper highlights activities covering Lifecycle RAM based Safety Management of Computer based Railway interlocking Systems
Design of Border Surveillance Monitoring Application
In recent years, quad-copters got a lot of popularity. The highly agile dynamics of a quad-copter allow it to easily take off and fly in any indoor or outdoor scenario. For photography and for recording videos by mounting a camera on them people are using drones. The goal is to come up with a network of UAVs that will help our soldiers for patrolling the country border with efficiency, while remaining cost effective. The purpose was one of detection of intruders as opposed to detainment. To make UAV completely autonomous this requires localization. In an outdoor environment it is possible to use GPS based position feedback to fly over a particular trajectory. By using GPS calculate the path distance, speed, tracing path is possible and also avoiding the obstacles is possible. Software technologies and hardware required for multi tasks are modularized based on the requirements of the mission. The air and ground teams worked together to provide a system that has a comprehensive picture of the border while remaining cost effective and also maintain strict security on the border . The UAV or quad-copter will remain in constant communication with the ground base to effectively detect and track targets. This demonstrates a use of GPS to make autonomous vehicles. Drones are able to gather data when running miles of cables isn’t an option. Drones will continue to become more and more relevant in industry and thus a curriculum that includes a course on drone creation would be invaluable
Detection of Duplicate using eNose and Sensor
Here in this topic, I am basically concerned about the problems and worries which occur during any function or parties relating to the number of plates used by the guests. This idea tries to minimize the amount of manpower or technologies used to check this habit at the event. Here in this project, I am using a pre-designed PIR Sensor with Electronic Nose and on-field Heartbeat Sensor. The PIR Sensor used here will sense the presence or arrival of a person near or in front of it through the change in temperature. The Electronic Nose attached with it will detect the odor or smell of the person coming near to it. It will be followed by a memory which will be linked to the gadget that keeps a record of all the odors sensed by it. If there will be any duplicate, then a buzzer will ring which will be the first indication for the user operating that this person is going to use the plate more than once. Then in the next level, on the plate’s desk, there will be a sensor attached which keeps the track of the Heart Beat of the person touching it. If the heartbeat is unusual, then the second and final indicator buzzer will ring which will assure that the person is intentionally using the plate multiple number of times. By this way, the organizer can efficiently use this technology in detecting such problem with minimum resources. This project can also be extended to several other detection strategies which involve human intervention
System on Chip based Design of a Prototype Unmanned Sea Surface Vehicle
This paper discusses regarding design and developmentof a simple, low cost, the prototype of an UnmannedSea Surface Vehicle (USSV). Prototype USSV using System onChip(SoC) can be developed which could be used for carryingout surveillance at sea and underwater survey operations.Afterimplementing autonomous control system this vehicle can be usedfor more complex operation such as Intelligence Surveillance andReconnaissance (ISR) operations. This vehicle is developed basedon centralized architecture, System on Chip (SoC). Interfacingcircuits using analog components are designed so that inputoutputdevices can be reliably interfaced. Interfacing Software,Communication Protocols, and the Remote control panel isdesigned and developed for the prototype USSV. Selection ofoff the shelf navigation and Instrumentation sensors, Thrusters,Communication systems and Payloads with its interfacing isbriefly explained in the paper. Finally tests and trial resultsare discussed along with conclusions and further scope forimprovement
MULTI TOOL CNC STATION
There has been a high increase in demand of customized mechanical parts in recent years and in upcoming years the demand will rise to a further extent. Considering these demands and using CNC technology we have came up with a “multi tool CNC station” where the demand of customers are fulfilled and the costing is lowered. On this station multiple tasks can be performed on a single platform and the need for multiple stations is reduced to one. Traditionally all CNC systems have been standalone system. But we have developed a system where all these CNC tasks are performed on a single station and the space and costing for the station is reduced. As per traditional CNC machines required huge space for a single setup and cost of it would go higher in terms of setup of all the CNC tools (for eg: a 3-D extrusion setup requires around 1 lakh rs., laser engraving setup requires the same amount. Thus making it huge sum). This makes the traditional system unaffordable and useless at prototyping stages.Therefore, as per increasing demand in multitasking systems which can reduce the space and cost constraints we can also save valuable resources and develop a cost effective multi tool CNC station
A Study on Proactive Methods for Initiating Interaction with Human by Social Robots
This paper reports on the trending literature of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) methods for proactively initiating interaction with human by social robots in social spaces. The discussion explores the state-of-the-art proactive HRI methods and pinpoints the necessity of dedicated attention to initiate successful proactive interaction by social robots with human. The findings suggest that although reactive HRI methods are well established in social spaces but very few proactive methods are implemented. More research should be paid to introduce social robot’s proactive HRI approach properly in social spaces. The literature further showed that robust human detection and tracking method is crucial to read human’s is interests and intentions from their behaviors before introducing proactive HRI with human in social spaces. Finally, future potential applications of social robots are addressed
A Review on Various Techniques for Object Detection
Detection of object and recognition of objects in real world computing environment is one of the important tasks in computer vision. To solve this task there are many challenges in designing algorithm, we have to introduce different and innovative algorithms to detect objects in natural environments. Detection of object is a computer technology which is related to the computer vision and image processing. This paper provides a brief description of techniques, methods and algorithms used in object detection. At last it highlights the importance of selective image encryption. 
Comparison of ANN and ANFIS controller for PMSG Variable Speed WECS
This paper deals with the variable speed wind energy conversion systems (WECS), using PMSG. To overcome the demerits occurred in these systems. A new DC Optimal level reference standard, however maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm also used to obtain the new optimal operating point for the power curve. This optimal operating point is depends upon DC Interlink Voltage and currents. The proposed ANN and ANFIS technique is simulated in MAT Lab/ Simulink software. Here the WECS is evaluated and compared with conventional ANN and ANFIS network methods. The problems related with the Power Co-Efficient , the tip speed ratio(TSR) and DC inter link voltage and average power is evaluated over the total power extraction of WECS has provided with the modern advantages with all these errors consideration and improvement. This control signal also derived in order to achieve MPPT along with this the total harmonic distortion (THD) is also calculated for all mentioned systems
Wireless Client Device Finger printing
Client device finger printing is method of identifying the client device type, operating system, Device vendor and other types of information which is connected to the wireless network. Also, it is the action of gathering device information to characterize it. This process generates a signature, also called a fingerprint, that describes the observed features of a device in a compact form. If the generated signature is distinctive enough, it may be used to identify a device. In the present developments where they are talking about internet of everything and bring your own device (BYOD) it is required for the enterprise to identify the devices connected to the network and mark them accordingly which may help the enterprise to avoid data leakage, unauthorized device connections and some other security violations. This paper gives the client fingerprinting types and new developed techniques to obtain the device details like device vendor, device operating system and device type
LINE TO LINE VOLTAGE BASED SENSORLESS CONTROL FOR HIGH SPEED BLDC MOTOR
This paper introduce a novel line to line voltage based sensorless control method for Brushless DC motor drive used in high speed, high power applications. The commutation signals for the six switch inverter are generated from the line to line voltage. In each phase commutation, two switches conduct corresponding to the truth table logic. Delay occurring in speed is compensated by the new compensation method. Selection of commutation logic in a parallel mode improves the efficiency of system by reducing the operation delay. Compared with the existing control methods the torque and current ripple of BLDC motor can be significantly reduced by using this proposed method. The whole system is evaluated in MATLAB- Simulink platform
