    Get PDF
Inthis paper a planar ultra-wideband bandpassfilter is designed. The filter is designed using Defectedmicrostrip structure (DMS) and coupled lines. The measuredrange of pass band is1.5GHz to 7GHzwith a notch at 5.2GHzWLAN frequency

Design of Thinned Linear Antenna Array using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) Algorithm

    Get PDF
This paper describes the unwanted side lobelevel reduction of thinned linear array antenna usingparticle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. InRADAR and satellite communication, very low sidelobe level is required. The purpose of this paper is toreduce side lobe level of linear antenna array usingoptimization technique. Thinning of an antenna arrayinvolves switching ‘ON’ some antenna elements andrest all the elements are switched ‘OFF’. Turning ‘OFF’some of the antenna elements do not degrade thesystem performance. The investigations presented inthis paper may be useful for Direct Broadcast Satellite(DBS) systems

    Three-Dimensional Spatial Data Types

    Get PDF
Database management system have significantly changed in the last several years from a system dealing with management of administrative data they have involved to a spatial DBMS providing spatial data types, spatial indexing and extended spatial functionality. Spatial database system as database system that offers spatial data types in its model and query language and supports spatial applications. Spatial database is mainly deal with 2-D dimensionaldata (geometric data). This is sufficient for many spatial application. But on the other hand our world is 3-D and a number of possible application can be identified that would be a greatly benefit from a treatment of 3-D data. Although the provided functionality is limited to the second dimension, various options exist for management of three-dimensional data. The idea of this topics (Research paper) is 3-D geometric information of spatial database. Our research has led so far to a called abstract model  that identifies the essential 3-D spatial data-types. &nbsp

Study of Wear & Corrosion Resistance of Cold Sprayed Components

    Get PDF
There is a major loss of material and process is observed in engineering application due to corrosion and wear. As the operating conditions are varying enormously, the mechanical component undergoes wear and corrosion for achieving wear resistant coating. Previously hot metal spray technique is used, which is now a day replaced with cold spray. There are many advantages of it over hot spray such as avoid melting and solidification, negligible thermal induced stress on substrate, avoid undesirable phases, avoid oxidation and higher deposition efficiency, good surface finish etc. There is a brief enlightening on wear mechanisms observed (corrosion, fatigue, adhesive and abrasive wear). In this technique the deposition efficiency is more. It’s Deposition Efficiency increases as the velocity of powder is increased. It can coat 5 – 50 mm ultra thick coating to serve its purpose. The case study shows utilization of cold spray technique and different material which coats substrate and their results. This case study is of orthopedic implants and effect of cold spray coating of different metals and their positive effects on human body. It shows that Tantalum gives a better wear resistance, good bio compatibility as well as long life (50 years). As Ta is having high surface energy, there is a better interaction between cell and materia

Review on Internet Of Things Based Smart Grid To Monitor and Control Renewable Energy Sources

    Get PDF
Internet of Things is a new information processing and acquisition method, that is been widely used in intelligent transportation, environmental monitoring and other fields. The IoT is an important technical mean to the development of smart grid. IoT technology can effectively combine the infrastructure resources in increase the level of power system information, and improve the utilization efficiency of infrastructures in the existing power system. The urgency of its applications in smart grid are pointed out by concept of smart grid and IoT are described. The construction of smart grid which is based on Internet of things are made, and implementation in typical application including wind power prediction, condition monitoring of overhead transmission lines, power monitoring, smart home and asset management

Design &Verification of Reconfigurable Transducer Nodes for Smart Home Environments Using Framework (March2016

    Get PDF
This paper present a new intelligent home control system based on a framework of reconfigurable tranducer node. And develop a new routing protocol LQIR to improve the performance of our active sensor networks. This paper introduces the proposed home control system’s design that provides intelligent services for users and a transducer network framework that supports the multiple transducers into single wireless nodes. The aimed at decreasing energy consumption by reducing the number of wireless transitor & receiver in networks. An XML based protocol is devised to allow nodes to communicate a description of their layout, measured data and control information. To verify the proposed framework, multiple reconfigurable wireless nodes are used to monitor the dynamic condition

CLOUD-BASED MULTIMEDI CONTENT COPY DETECTION SYSTEM

    Get PDF
Web has million of multimedia contents such as videos and images. It may happen that each and every multimedia content has duplicated copies. There are lots of mechanism available that provides easy way for editing, publishing or uploading multimedia contents so that it may leads to security problem and also reduplicating the identity of content owner and also loss of revenue to the content owner. So that this system can be used to protect the Illegally redistributed multimedia contents such as 3D videos or images. The main goal of this system is to provide cost efficiency ,rapid development scalability and elasticity to accommodate varying workloads and improve the accuracy as well as computational efficiency and also the reliability. This system can be deploy on public cloud. And this System show high accuracy for more than 11,000 videos and one million of images

EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS ON THE TRANSIENT CRYOGENIC FLOW FEATURES OF A TYPICAL BALL VALVE UNDER LIQUID NITROGEN CHILLDOWN CONDITIONS

    Get PDF
In this paper, experimental result of cryogenic chilldown of ½” stainless steel cryogenic ball valve is reported. Experiments were done on horizontally placed test section. The test section is insulated by using nitrile rubber for reducing the heat inleak.LN2 is used as the working fluid. Liquid nitrogen is feed in to the test section by using external pressurization technique. Experiments were conducted for two sets of inlet supply pressure (7.5 psi and 12.5 psi). The mass flow rates obtained for two inlet pressures conditions are 2.292 g/s and 3.31 g/s. The experimental results show that the chilldown time of valve body is higher due to its high thermal mass and chilldown time decrease with increase in supply pressure at the inlet

Performance Evaluation of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) on Different Topologies by Varying Impairments

    Get PDF
In the tactical networks the transmission of data from one node to another node without data loss place a vital role. Usually successful delivery of message depends on a type of channel, bandwidth and bit error rate (BER). The information of the network can be measured by considering different impairments like throughput, packet loss, packet delivery ratio (PDR) in different type of topology. There are various protocols to transfer the data efficiently. Among those one of the major core protocol is Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), TCP provides reliable, order and error checked delivery of data. It is a widely used deployed transport protocol. This paper evaluates the performance of different link level impairments for considering three main topologies such as dumbbell, mesh and tree topology. We analyzed TCP by changing BER in each topology and compared the results by varying impairments
