Hajj Participant Monitoring System Using GPS with Internet of Things (IOT) Based on Cloud Computing
The monitoring and coordination of Hajj participants pose significant challenges, especially in ensuring their safety and managing their mobility efficiently. This research focuses on the development and implementation of a web-based system that integrates GPS and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to monitor the real-time location of Hajj participants. The system leverages GPS to track participant locations accurately, enhancing safety and optimizing participant mobility management. IoT devices are integrated into the system to collect data related to participants' locations and conditions, which are then transmitted to a secure server for seamless access through the web platform. The system's design emphasizes providing an intuitive user interface, making it easier for administrators to manage, coordinate, and respond to participant needs effectively. The web-based platform offers structured and user-friendly data visualization through features like interactive maps and condition dashboards. These tools enable rapid decision-making, improved logistical arrangements, and effective participant coordination. This study highlights the importance of secure and stable IoT configurations to ensure continuous data updates and accessibility under various conditions. The findings demonstrate that the integration of GPS and IoT with a cloud-based platform significantly enhances the management of Hajj participants, providing a robust and scalable solution for real-time monitoring, efficient coordination, and improved safety. The proposed system contributes to advancing technological solutions in large-scale religious gatherings, offering practical implications for future applications in similar contexts
Designing an IT Service Management System with Naïve Bayes Method and Knowledge Base to Support IT Services
SMK Pelita Alam is a health school that has been using IT systems rapidly in recent years to assist with various tasks. With the increased use of IT, new problems arise in IT service management, some of which are the increased volulme of data and information that must be managed. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to create a Helpdesk Ticketing application at SMK Pelita Alam that is equipped with a classification of the urgency level of complaints, and several other features such as a Knowledge Base that provides an updated knowledge base to improve responses to common questions and an AI Chatbot to ask various kinds of questions. This research uses the Waterfall research method while the algorithm used for complaint classification is Naive Bayes Classifier. This algorithm is implemented on the create ticket form, and this application is developed web-based. The results showed that the designed system can improve IT service quality, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction. The system can also provide useful information for future IT service planning and improvement. This research is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of assistance service systems at SMK Pellita Alam..
Increasing Hauler Productivity with Fleet Management System and Application to Mining Operational Safety of Pt. Antareja Mahada Makmur
This research aims to increase the productivity of hauler units at PT Antareja Mahada Makmur (PT AMM) through the implementation of Fleet Management System (FMS) and operational safety management. Coal hauling is a vital transportation activity in the mining industry, but it often experiences obstacles in achieving productivity targets. Using a descriptive method, the study identifies the root causes of issues affecting productivity and safety, including a lack of digital monitoring systems and operators' understanding of productivity targets. The implementation of FMS enables real-time monitoring of driving behavior, reduction of unproductive time, and increased control over operator safety. The results of the evaluation showed an increase in the productivity of the hauler unit from 13.7 tons/hour to 14.2 tons/hour, as well as a decrease in Empty Stop Time (EST) by 38%. In addition, the system also contributes to the reduction of incidents due to operator fatigue. The study concluded that the implementation of FMS not only increases productivity, but also strengthens operational safety, having a positive impact on worker quality, cost, and morale
Perancangan Sistem Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Pada Aplikasi E-Commerce
The development of digital technology has given significant changes to human life, especially in the Internet world, the Internet makes it easier for humans to carry out daily activities and work. However, this convenience can also increase the threat of cybercrime. This research aims to implement a security system based on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with a One-Time Password (OTP) on Android applications, to protect data from cybercrimes such as Phishing data theft and ransomware. The research method used is the waterfall model, which contains system analysis discussing what is needed in building applications with 2FA and OTP security, system design discusses the system flow that will be applied and created, coding discusses how the backend can run the system flow created, and implementation discusses the application of previous results. Effect of Fly Ash Use on Compressive Strength and Water Absorption of Paving Block
Paving block is a product of a mixture of mortar which is generally used as a building material and ground surface pavement that can function as a sidewalk or public road that is often passed by pedestrians and vehicles. Mortar mixtures have a composition of cement, fine aggregate, water, and can use other additives. In this study, the additional material used is fly ash. With the right composition and procedures, the addition of fly ash as a cement substitution in the mixture can have a good effect on the compressive strength and water absorption of the paving block. The research was conducted using a mixture of fly ash as much as 10%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40% in laboratory research and 10% and 20% fly ash in research conducted in the field. The mixture used in the manufacture of paving blocks has a cement:sand composition ratio of 1:5. In the implementation of the results of testing the quality requirements of concrete bricks, the highest quality value was found in the range of fly ash use of 10-20%, both research conducted in the laboratory and field research. The highest compressive strength test results in the laboratory had a value of 20.1 MPa in the 10% and 20% variable tests, while for field tests, the highest value was obtained in the variable of using fly ash of 10% with a compressive strength value of 15.74 MPa
Implementation of Latest Technology in Oil and Gas Industry Business Processes: Case Study of Production Processes in Upstream Oil and Gas with Zero Flaring Technology
This study aims to evaluate and implement the latest technology in reducing flare gas (Flare Gas Recovery) in the upstream oil and gas industry. Flare gases, which are often burned and released into the atmosphere, are a significant source of emissions and a contributor to warming. The results of the SWOT and AHP analysis show that the technology of converting flare gas into electrical energy has advantages compared to other technologies. From an economic perspective, calculations show that this project is very feasible to implement, with an NPV value of IDR 48.82 billion, an IRR of 23.03%, a BCR of 1.14, and a payback period of only 4.27 years. The LCC of IDR 400.37 billion and the CoE of IDR 285.98/kWh indicate that this project can keep energy production costs at a competitive and sustainable level. This study concludes that Flare Gas Recovery to Electricity technology is the optimal solution to support zero flaring initiatives and make a real contribution to reducing flare gas emissions, as well as providing high added value in terms of economy and environment
Pengelolaan Website Dinas Komunikasi Informatika Dan Persandian Kabupaten Simeulue Sebagai Media Informasi Publik
Website saat ini menjadi salah satu media yang dimanfatkan oleh instansi daerah dalam menyalurkan informasi kepada masyarakat. Namun pemanfaatan website oleh masyarakat sangatlah sedikit bahkan ada yang tidak memahami cara penggunaan website serta ada beberapa masyarakat yang tidak memanfaatkan website. Pengelolaan website oleh pemerintah daerah sudah sangat baik hal ini sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2008 tentang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik yang mana kebutuhan masyarakat akan informasi tidak dapat dihindari atau dibatasi., akan tetapi dari kurangnya pemanfaatan webite oleh masyarakat, hal ini menjadi suatu permasalahan yang penting untuk lihat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana website simeuluekab.go.id dikelola dan kendala apa saja yang dihadapi dalam pengelolaannya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian lapangan kualitatif dengan fokus deskriptif. Teori informasi organisasi dan teori media baru yang digunakan dalam kerangka teori penelitian. Dinas Komunikasi Informatika dan Perandian (Diskominsa) Kabupaten Simeulue menjadi lokasi penelitian ini. Dari hasil temuan penelitian lapangan dapat di simpulkan bahwa Diskominsa Kabupaten Simeulue saat ini dalam menyebarluaskan informasi publik melalui website simeuluekab.go.id, sebagai pengelola website adalah Humas Diskominsa Kabupaten Simeulue dalam praktiknya, ada redaktur, pengurus, dan wartawan, dalam penyampaian dan penyebaran berita. Selain website, Diskominsa sudah memanfaatkan instagram untuk penyebaran informasi publik
Representasi Perempuan Di DPR-RI: Studi Perbandingan Sulawesi Utara Dan Kepulauan Bangka Belitung
Penelitian ini membahas tentang fenomena representasi perempuan di lembaga legislatif dengan merujuk pada perbandingan kasus di provinsi Sulawesi Utara dengan provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Adapun, perspektif teoritis yang dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis hal tersebut didasarkan pada konsepsi dari Anne Phillips yang menjelaskan tentang konsep representasi jender dengan menitikberatkan pada pemahaman terhadap dua konsep utama, yakni “politics of presence” (siapa yang merepresentasikan) dan “politics of ideas” (apa yang direpresentasikan). Menyangkut pada anggapan bahwa eksistensi perempuan dalam parlemen akan menjadikannya turut memperjuangkan kepentingan-kepentingannya, seperti yang salah satunya dapat dilihat dari kebijakan-kebijakan yang sensitif terhadap jender. Sedangkan terakhir adalah kecenderungan di mana melalui eksistensinya dalam politik, perempuan diproyeksikan akan memberikan pendapat atau warna yang berbeda dalam setiap kebijakan maupun keputusan yang akan diambil. Sementara itu, penelitian ini diproyeksikan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan didukung teknik wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur untuk memperoleh data. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa ketika berhasil terpilih sebagai anggota DPR, sosok Hillary Brigitta Lasut melakukan simbolisasi sebagai perwakilan perempuan provinsi Sulawesi Utara serta turut mendorong dan memperjuangkan sejumlah isu yang berkaitan dengan perempuan, seperti dalam aspek partisipasi dan pencalonan diri, kesetaraan jender, kepentingan perempuan serta memberikan pendapat dalam setiap kebijakan maupun keputusan yang akan diambil oleh parlemen
Peran Dan Pengaruh Perempuan Dalam Dinamika Politik Di Indonesia
Pembahasan mengenai kesetaraan gender dalam dinamika politik mau tidak mau akan menyebabkan adanya pembahasan mengenai peran dan pengaruh perempuan dalam kontestasi politik di Indonesia. Konstruksi sosial di Indonesia yang cenderung partriarkis telah mendorong perempuan ke dalam pemetaan stereotipe ketidak-layakan dalam berkancah di sektor politik. Namun belakangan peran dan pengaruh perempuan dalam politik tidak dapat diabaikan, terutama akibat gagasan demokrasi yang mendorong adanya partisipasi politik yang lebih besar bagi perempuan di seluruh negeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau peran dan pengaruh perempuan dalam dinamika politik di Indonesia. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan metode kepustakaan untuk mempelajari berbagai sumber pustaka, diantaranya buku, jurnal dan pustaka lainnya yang relevan. Analisa dilakukan secara kualitatif. Proses demokratisasi telah mendorong semakin meningkatnya partisipasi politik perempuan sebagai bentuk representasi dan akuntabilitas demokrasi di Indonesia. Hal ini didahului dengan pengesahan konstitusi yang mendorong peningkatan peran perempuan dalam kancah perpolitikan Indonesia. Hal ini kemudian diikuti dengan kemunculan tokoh-tokoh politik perempuan yang duduk di berbagai lembaga eksekutif dan legislatif negara. Namun kemudian masih terdapat keterbatasan dalam keterlibatan perempuan dinamika politik dilihat dari proporsi jumlah antara wanita dan laki-laki yang terlibat dalam ranah politik di Indonesia
Wewenang Kepala Desa Sebagai Hakim Pendamai Dalam Menyelesaikan Sengketa Tanah Warisan Di Desa Kuimasi, Kecamatan Fatuleu, Kabupaten Kupang
Salah satu fungsi kepala desa adalah menerapkan hukum sebagai sarana untuk mengendalikan dan memperbaharui masyarakat desa atau yang biasa disebut sebagai hakim perdamaian desa. Dalam penyelesaian sengketa warisan ini kepala desa biasanya tidak mengambil keputusan sendiri tetapi bersama para tokoh masyarakat, dan pamong desa lainnya ataupun sesepuh desa tersebut yang mengetahui riwayat dari antara ahli waris yang bersengketa tersebut dan harta peninggalan dari pewaris agar keputusan yang diambil dapat ditaati oleh para pihak dan tidak melenceng dari adat kebiasaan yang hidup di daerah tersebut.
