LAN Network Optimization to Support Practicum Activities Using Action Research Method at STMIK Jayakarta
The importance of using computer networks in campus laboratories to improve the quality of education and research is also increasing. However, there are problems found in the use of computer networks in campus laboratories, namely low data transmission speeds, network insecurity and inaccessible resources. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the factors that influence the performance of computer networks in campus laboratories, including data transmission speed. Computer networks evolved from point-to-point communication to computers connecting to each other and exchanging information. The research methodology involves experimental data being tested, for example the effect of communication speed on computer network performance in campus laboratories

A total of 24 respondents from 6 contractor companies were selected as samples using the probability sampling method. The research results show that there is an influence between the quality of human resources on company performance. This is proven by the results of the hypothesis test which shows the calculated t value of 10.785, exceeding the t table value of 2.074. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected, indicating that there is a significant influence between the quality of human resource management and the performance of contractor companies in North Sumatra. From the research results, it can be concluded that the quality of human resource management has a significant influence on the performance of contractor companies in North Sumatra 84.1%; the remaining 15.9% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, it is recommended to improve the quality of human resource management to improve the performance of contractor companies
Adaptation Strategy of Migrant Crew on Taiwanese Fishing Vessels
This study aims to analyse the adaptation strategies used by migrant crew members on Taiwanese fishing vessels in facing the risks they face. The research's risks include heavy workloads, hazardous work environments, health, and forced labour exploitation. The research method used is a qualitative analysis using primary data from interviews with seven resource persons who are migrant crew members on Taiwanese fishing boats. The study results show that migrant crew members use various adaptation strategies to deal with the risks they face on fishing boats. These adaptation strategies include a more effective division of labour, the use of better technology or equipment to reduce physical burdens, joining a community of fellow migrant workers, and the fight for decent work rights. In addition, migrant crew members also use an adaptation strategy from the beginning of recruitment by choosing the departure process through the official route. This research makes an essential contribution to understanding how migrant crew members cope with the risks they face on Taiwanese fishing vessels. The practical implications of this study are the importance of paying attention to the welfare and work rights of migrant crew members and expanding understanding of the importance of adaptation strategies in increasing their resilience in often challenging and high-risk work environments
Analysis of Supporting and Hindering Factors for the Implementation of BIM and GIS Integration in IKN Projects
The relocation of Indonesia's capital city from Jakarta to IKN (Capital City of the Archipelago) in Penajam Paser Utara is a monumental project covering an area of 2,876 hectares, which involves massive infrastructure development. This thesis aims to analyze the factors that influence the implementation of BIM-GIS integration technology in the early stages of IKN project development. Exploratory factor analysis methods are used to identify supporting factors that facilitate the successful implementation of BIM-GIS integration, as well as inhibiting factors that may hinder it. Questionnaires are used as a data collection tool from stakeholder respondents in IKN projects. Questionnaire data was analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The research results showed that there were 16 supporting factors with 4 component groups and 16 inhibiting factors with 6 component groups. Based on these results, strategic steps are proposed to contribute to the development of science and play a role in the successful relocation of Indonesia's capital city
