A Proposed Menu Engineering-Based Business Intelligence Design Using K-Means Algorithm

    Get PDF
Business continuity is greatly influenced by the menu, especially in the culinary industry. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) account for 64.1 million units or around 99% of all businesses in Indonesia. For many years, MSME has been using menu analyses to keep its menu optimized. However, this is not enough since 50% of MSMEs are failing in their first 5 years due to poor decision-making as a result of a lack of knowledge. Based on that problem, there is a necessity for menu analysis and tools to assist in decision-making, also called Business Intelligence. The method used consists of three stages: data collection, business intelligence design, as well as analysis and results. The BI design focuses on menu engineering using the K-Means algorithm to divide menu items into four unique clusters according to Kasavana-Smith's menu engineering concept. After validating its findings with the Davies-Boudlin Index eval_uation, it concludes that a four-cluster solution is most optimal among other value-cluster. This study aims to assist business owners in making better decisions, and it may be used as a reference for business owners by providing suggestions based on the menu review analysis

    Get PDF
Efforts to prevent corruption in the form of improving the quality of public service transparency are one of the most crucial things to be done in Indonesia. (KPK, 2023). This is carried out through the Corruption Prevention Network (Jaga) program by the KPK which aims to encourage transparency in public services and public participation in corruption prevention. Unfortunately, the program has not run well based on the assessment of respondents in the Jaga user survey because it has not reached all areas prone to corruption and the complaint resolution rate is low. This study aims to eval_uate the Jaga program and assess the suitability of the Jaga program with the Fraud Risk Management (FRM) framework. This study concludes that in general, the Jaga program is in line with the FRM framework but needs to be improved in terms of documentation of the Jaga concept, the implementation of comprehensive and periodic corruption risk assessments, the development of specific preventive controls based on the intervening public service sector, the improvement of the mechanism for handling complaints of indications of corruption, and the implementation of periodic monitoring of FRM implementation

Suroboyo Bus Operational Risk Management System Using Fmea Method (Failure Mode Effect Analysis). Suroboyo Bus currently has several operational risks so efficient risk management planning is needed. The risk management planning mechanism used is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) with the hope of identifying the risks inherent in the operational business process of Suroboyo Bus. It can be seen from the survey results that 35% of the public want to add routes and 25% of the public want to add fleets. From the results of risk identification, 18 causes of the highest operational risks were obtained, including Driver absence, Minor damage or disruption to tyres, Major damage or disruption to facilities inside, Minor damage or disruption to facilities inside the bus, Traffic congestion around the bus stop, No plastic bottle checks, Damage or incomplete bus spare parts that were missed from the checking process, No helper at the passenger gathering point, Accidents on the way to the bus stop, Bus accidents, Major damage or disruption to the engine, Major damage or disruption to tyres, Unprinted receipts (out of stock), Unvalidated receipts, Lost receipts, Gears not in P position when parking at the Pool, No bus spare part checking process, accidents by cleaning staff, so SOPs, regulations, and budget policies are needed

The Influence of Heuristic and Herding Behavior on Investment Decisions through Fomo on Retail Investors in Indonesia

    Get PDF
Retail investors in Indonesia are often influenced by psychological biases in making investment decisions. These biases, including heuristic and herding behaviors, often create a fear of missing out on key moments (FoMO) that impact investment decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of heuristic behavior (representativeness bias, availability bias, anchoring bias) and herding behavior on investment decisions with FoMO mediation. The research used a survey method with 109 retail investor respondents and data analysis using smartPLS. The results show that herding behavior significantly affects FoMO, and FoMO also has a significant impact on investment decisions. In contrast, heuristic behavior has no significant influence on FoMO. These findings reinforce FoMO's role in the investment decision-making process among retail investors. Based on the results of data analysis from the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that heuristic behavior (representativeness bias, availability bias, and anchoring bias) does not affect the FoMO of retail investors in Indonesia. So any change in heuristic behavior (representativeness bias, availability bias, and anchoring bias) does not affect the FoMO of retail investors in Indonesia

    Get PDF
Technology is a rapidly evolving field in recent times, capable of solving various problems across different sectors. One problem addressed in the government sector is the emergence of e-government, a movement where technology is utilized to carry out government activities more effectively. One form of implementing e-government is through the application of e-inventory. The purpose of developing this application is to provide a solution to issues related to documenting state-owned goods, such as errors in manual data recording, lack of real-time data updates for the goods, and difficulties in accessing data during inspections conducted by the Inspectorate or the Financial Audit Agency (BPK). These problems often occur in government offices with a large inventory, such as the Regional People's Representative Council of Berau (DPRD KAB.Berau), which still faces challenges in recording inventory items. Therefore, an Android-based e-inventory application has been developed to facilitate activities such as updating inventory data, documenting goods, and simplifying data retrieval

    Get PDF
The policy of sustainable protection of agricultural land becomes crucial in addressing land degradation and land use conversion, especially from agriculture to non-agriculture, alongside the increasing demand for land due to population growth and economic development, which can lead to negative impacts such as a decrease in food security, marginalization of agricultural land, and an increase in flood risks. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Sustainable Protection of Food Agricultural Land Policy, understand the rate of paddy field conversion, and identify trends in land conversion after the policy's enforcement. This study employs a qualitative approach, with data obtained through interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The research is conducted in Bandung Regency, with samples taken from Cikancung Sub-district, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Informants involved in this research are selected through judgment sampling and are individuals related to the sustainable protection of agricultural land policy and relevant stakeholders. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative and spatial analysis. The research findings indicate that the implementation of sustainable agricultural land protection policy in Bandung Regency is still in the socialization and planning stages. Based on spatial analysis, the implementation of the policy in Cikancung Sub-district has led to the conversion of paddy fields, particularly in non-technical irrigation paddy fields, predominantly converted into industrial land. This conversion covers a total area of 20.3 hectares, with the most significant change occurring in non-technical irrigation paddy fields converted into industries, covering an area of 13.7 hectares. Based on internal, external, and policy analysis, it can be concluded that the policy implementation in Cikancung Sub-district has not been optimal in addressing the conversion of paddy fields

One of the most important natural wealth for humans is the diversity of animals found on this earth. Every country on earth has its diversity of animals; some examples are the Komodo dragon from Komodo Island, Indonesia, the giant panda from Shaanxi Province, China, the wildebeest from the Serengeti, Tanzania, the grizzly bear from Alaska, United States, and synchronous fireflies from Selangor Malaysia. Along with the development of technology, it turns out that the internet has also become the dominant factor influencing the amount of trade in protected endangered species. So far, thousands of protected animals are sold regularly via the internet. Both sellers of protected animals and their buyers take advantage of the advantages of the internet, which cannot be found in the real world, namely anonymity and the wide reach of the capital market. According to the Head of the Ministry of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation, According to Law no. 5 of 1990 concerning the Conservation of Living Natural Resources and Their Ecosystems, Conservation of living natural resources is living natural resources which use them as needed to ensure compliance with their needs and improve the quality of the aid and its value. Conservation of living natural resources and ecosystems is based on preserving and utilising living natural resources and their ecosystems harmoniously and balanced
