Legal Nullism and Perspectives of Indonesia People's Belief in Today's Legal Conditions

Legal nihilism in Indonesia arises from widespread public distrust in the legal and political systems. Rooted in philosophical nihilism, mainly as expounded by Friedrich Nietzsche, legal nihilism reflects the belief that law, much like other social constructs, lacks inherent purpose or justice. This phenomenon has grown due to disillusionment with political elites, legal bureaucracy, and corruption cases, leading the public to perceive legal enforcement as selective and biased. Public skepticism is exemplified by viral social media movements like #NoViralNoJustice, which suggest legal accountability only occurs when incidents gain online attention. This study examines the socio-legal implications of legal nihilism in Indonesia and its destructive effects on societal order. Drawing from legal philosophy and sociology, the paper analyzes how misaligned legal reforms, such as the controversial MyPertamina subsidy policy, deepen public dissatisfaction. The research highlights the urgent need for legal reforms prioritizing social welfare, transparency, and public trust, emphasizing the role of utilitarian legal philosophy as a potential framework for restoring legal credibility in Indonesia

Waste management is a crucial issue in urban environmental governance, particularly concerning the effectiveness of transportation systems to final disposal sites (FDS). This study aims to examine the implementation of waste management policies by the Cirebon Regency Environmental Agency, focusing on a case study of waste transportation vehicles at the Gunung Santri FDS. The approach used is qualitative, with a case study method to deeply explore the dynamics of policy implementation in the field. The analysis is conducted using George C. Edward III’s policy implementation theory, which includes four main variables: communication, resources, implementer disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Data is collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that the implementation of waste transportation policies still faces various challenges, such as limited fleet capacity, suboptimal distribution of transportation schedules, and weak coordination among technical departments within the DLH bureaucratic structure. However, there are also improvement efforts, including updates to transportation standard operating procedures (SOPs), procurement of new fleets, and the involvement of village officials in the transportation system. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening resources and cross-sector communication, as well as the need to reformulate the operational system of transportation based on regional mapping and the frequency of waste generation. This study contributes in the form of technical policy recommendations for local governments and enriches the literature on the implementation of environmental policies at the local level.Pengelolaan limbah merupakan isu krusial dalam tata kelola lingkungan perkotaan, terutama terkait efektivitas sistem transportasi limbah hingga ke tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA). Analysis of The Influence of Wind Speed and Particle Size On Temperature Increase During The Coal Combustion Process of MT-46, BB-50, and Al-55 at PT Bukit Asam Tbk., Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra

Swabakar is an event where coal can burn on its own. The purpose of the PT Bukit Asam Tbk Laboratory is to analyze the influence of wind speed and grain size differences and determine the value of transition temperature and the normality test of time and temperature data of coal samples. The research method used is to measure wind speed using an anemometer and measure the coal temperature before and after the swab. It can be seen from the results of the discussion that coal with a grain size of 13 mm experiences a faster swab process than coal with a grain size of 50 mm. The results showed that coal with a grain size of 13 mm experienced a faster swab than a size of 50 mm. The order of transition temperature values based on the grain size of 13 mm was MT-46 < BB-50 < AL-55, while at 50 mm the same results were found. This shows that MT-46 coal is more susceptible to swabbing than other types. Normality testing of time and temperature data shows that all data are distributed normally, so the validity of the research results can be accounted for. This study concludes that the smaller the size of the coal grains, the faster the oxidation process leads to spontaneous combustion. Wind speed also plays a role in accelerating the spread of oxygen into the coal pile, which increases the risk of swabbing. The implications of this study are important for the coal mining industry to consider the factors of grain size and wind speed in stockpile management to reduce the risk of waste and maintain the quality of coal
