Moral Judgment in Abusive Relationships: Implications for Interventions
Kohlberg\u27s Moral Judgment Interview and parallel dilemmas depicting abusive domestic situations were used to compare moral development of two groups of couples. Twenty men from a program for abusive men and their wives were compared to 20 couples selected by convenience sampling from university students, two church congregations, and friends. The Conflict Tactics Scale for couples was used to determine the validity of the responses of the male partner. No differences in Global Stage Scores were found between abusive or non-abusive men. None were found between genders. Weighted Average Scores on traditional Kohlberg stories and spousal abuse dilemmas were similar for the two groups. The Non-Abusive Group men scored higher on moral judgment interviews than the abusive men according to the Weighted Average Scores. Men and women in the Non-Abusive Group were more in agreement about the extent and amount of violence in their relationships. Individuals who scored highest on abusive Weighted Average 30ores were those who rated themselves and their partners as less violent
An Analysis of Age, Gender, Education, and Race/Ethnicity as Performance Indicators on Tests of Perceptual Speed, Accuracy and Spatial Skills
To ascertain the effect of age, gender, educational level and race/ethnicity on test performance, a battery of three tests measuring perceptual speed, accuracy, spatial orientation, and visualization was administered to a sample of 362 applicants in the Odessa, Texas, Job Training Partnership Act, an agency which retrains displaced workers. The sample was stratified into five age groups: 17-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and over 60. Further definition placed each person in one of five educational levels ranging from General Equivalency Diploma to Bachelors degree. Multiple regression analyses determined the effect of the independent demographic variables. ANOVAS determined ethnic performance variations. As predicted, significant effect indicated that performance tended to decline with age; gender performance was task-related; and each increasing educational level raised mean scores. The performance level of each ethnic group-Blacks, Hispanics, and Anglos-varied based on the skill, indicating some significant differences between groups

A Personal Approach to Counseling, Four Techniques of Therapy, & Brief Therapy and Counseling
The field of counseling is a rapidly changing profession, and counselors, both new and old must learn to adapt to these changes. The counselor should decide on and maintain a basic theory of counseling, and yet not allow that theory to be so rigid that it fails to use some of the benefits from other theories when applicable. The counselor should learn to look at all sides of an issue before deciding what stand to take on that issue, and the stand should be one that inevitably is aimed at his/her enhancement as a counselor

The Effect of Cooperative Games/Activities Involving Elementary Students on Cooperative Social Interaction
The purpose of this study was to ascertain whether Cooperative Games/Activities influenced children’s cooperative values and interdependence in the classroom. Twenty-seven boys and twenty-eight girls were assigned to three groups: two cooperative games/activities experimental groups and one control group. Each student was pretested using a Group Behavior and Atmosphere Scale. Following the pretests, students in the control group continued with their regular physical education activities and the experimental groups played cooperative games. Cooperative games were played twice a week, for six weeks, for an average of forty-five minutes. After six weeks, all students were retested to determine changes in behavior. Independent t-tests on the change in behavior indicated a significant change between the experimental and control groups. The conclusion was made that cooperative games/activities should be incorporated into the physical education curriculum
