Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas analisis butir soal mata pelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas IV di SDN Sabang dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana meningkatkan kualitas guru dalam menyusun soal mata pelajaran matematika pada siswa kelas IV SDN Sabang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah dan guru kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas guru kelas IV dalam menyusun soal melalui kriteria tes yang baik yaitu validitas, reliabilitas, objektif, praktis dan ekonomis belum menunjukkan efektif karena guru belum melakukan uji reliabilitas pada soal pilihan ganda mata pelajaran matematika kelas IV di SDN Sabang.Kata Kunci: efektivitas, butir soal, kualita
INCREASING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY THROUGH PICTURE OF VII GRADE AT SMP NEGERI 4 TOLITOLI
Get PDF       This research aims to solve the problems encountered by students of SMP Negeri 4 Tolitoli in learning English vocabulary. Secondly to describe the procedure in teaching and learning English vocabulary by applying pictures. And thirdly, to find out the result and improvement of the students in teaching English vocabulary in applying pictures. This is pre experimental study used 19 students as a sample. They were seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tolitoli. Data were taken from pretest and posttest.The data collected show that the mean score 52.05 pretest and 81.00 in posttest. The data of this research were analyzed by SPSS program. Computation of the data T- count was 8.534 with significant level was 0,000. And to related with probality level was 0,05. As the conclusion from assumption T-count > T-table can be proved. The study indicated there is significant different affect after applying the technique to improving the student vocabulary mastery through pictures in the VIIá´® grade of SMP Negeri4 Tolitoli.  Keywords: Increasing Students Vocabulary Mastery, Using Pictures.Â
IMPROVING STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION OF VIIIGRADE AT SMPN 4 TOLITOLI UTARA THROUGH SUMMARY TECHNIQUE
Get PDFThe objective of this research was to identify whether the use of summary technique effective to improve students’ ability in reading comprehension. An experimental design was used to collect the data, while quantitative approach was used to analyze them. The study was taken by the first grade of SMP Negeri 4 Tolitoli Utara. It was conducted in one class (VIII). The data were obtained through a pre-test and post-test. The pre-test was used to measure the students’ previous ability in reading comprehension, the treatments were applying materials through summary technique, and the post-test was used to find out the students’ reading ability after given treatments.The result of the analysis showed that summary technique contribute greatly to the students in reading comprehensio. It can be seen by the difference of the mean score between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test was 46,38 while in the post-test improved up to 78,13. Moreover the Minimum Mastery Criterion of English lesson was 75 (seventy-five). Then the data of both test were analyzed by using T-test, and the result showed that the T-tes value 2,229 was greater than T-table value -14,246. It can be inferred that summary technique was very effective to improve students’ ability in reading comprehension. Key words: Summary technique, teaching reading, narative tex
IMPROVING STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN WRITING RECOUNT TEXT USING THINK, TALK, WRITE STRATEGY OF FIRST GRADE AT SMK NEGERI 1 TOLITOLI
No full textThe purpose of this study is to find out the empirical evidence concerning whether story mapping is effective or not to improve students reading comprehension. Story mapping is use to motivate students in reading because it helps them to visualize the important elements of story and make students’ thoughts to be more organized, the researcher is interested to conduct a research by applying the technique of story mapping toward students’ reading comprehension through the material. This study was held in March 2015 at SMAN 1 Ogodeide. This study used a quantitative method in the design of pre-experimental study. The sampling technique use in this study is purposive sampling. The researcher took one class as the subject of this study. The sample is XB class. The improvement of students’ score can be seen from the differences between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pretest is 34.24 and it improves to 77.52 in post. Moreover the Minimum Mastery Criterion of English lesson is 70 (seventy). Then the data of both test are analyzed by using T-test, and the result showed that the T-test value 18.27 was greater than T-table value 2.064. According to the criteria of the test, the result showe that there is a significant improvement between students\u27 achievement in reading comprehension by using story mapping before and after pre-test and post-test are conducted. INCREASING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY OF SEVENTH GRADE AT SMP N 1 GALANG THROUGH WORD WALL MEDIA
Get PDFThe objective of the research is to prove whether word search puzzle can be applied to increase students’ vocabulary. This pre-experimental study uses 22 students as a sample. They are grade VIID of SMP N 1 Galang. The procedure of this research consists of pretest, treatment, and posttest. The result of the analysis shows that word wall media contribute greatly to the students’ vocabulary. It can be seen by the difference of the mean score between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test was 61.545 while in the post-test improved up to 75.727. The data of this research are analyzed by using SPSS Program version 16.0. Then the data of both tests are analyzed by using T-test, and the result shows that the T-test value 6.172 is high than T-table value 2.831. EVALUASI DAMPAK PUTUSAN KOMISI PEMILIHAN UMUM (KPU) DALAM PENYELENGGARAAN PEMILIHAN UMUM DAERAH TAHUN 2010 DI KABUPATEN TOLITOLI
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak putusan KPU dalam penyelenggaraan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) tahun 2010 di Kabupaten Tolitoli Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah oleh KPUD Kabupaten Tolitoli berdasarkan variabel kelayakan teknis, daya dukung politik, dan daya dukung administrasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakana dalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian historis. Informan yang dipilih ditentukan dengan purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 11 orang. Hasil penelitian, 3 dari 4 variabel yang diteliti berdasarkan teori evaluasi kebijakan menurut Eugene Bardach, seluruhnya belum berjalan sesuai yang diharapkan antara fakta dengan teori yang digunakan. Pertama, variabel technical feasibility, yaitu proses terbitnya kedua surat KPU tidak melalui mekanisme atau prosedur benar, terburu-buru, tanpa kajian yang mendalam, dan putusan KPU sebagai penyebab aksi anarkis. Hal ini berdampak langsung pada pengajuan gugatan Aziz Bestari kepada MK untuk meminta penjelasan mengenai status keikutsertaannya dalam pemilukada 2010. Sedangkan, secara tidak langsung hal itu berdampak pada sikap para pendukung paslon kepala daerah yang mudah marah dan melakukan kekerasan dalam pilkada 2015. Kedua, variabel political viability, yaitu putusan KPU justru merusak nilai-nilai harmoni dalam masyarakat, pasal 63 ayat 2 UU No.32/2004 tidak dibuat secara jelas dan sederhana, adanya pelanggaran kode etik penyelenggara pemilu, dan sikap KPUD yang melakukan pencetakan surat suara baru tanpa menunggu putusan MK. Hal ini berdampak pada pemecatan Anggota KPU Andi Nurpati dan gugurnya paslon kepala daerah di daerah lain setelah penetapan gugurnya paslon Aziz-Amir. Ketiga, variabel administrative operability, yaitu kemampuan pegawai dan komisioner KPUD dalam menyelenggarakan tahapan pemilu masih rendah, kurangnya kegiatan sosialisasi, dan lemahnya koordinasi antara KPUD dengan organisasi-organisasi yang terlibat di dalamnya, rendahnya dukungan pemerintah terhadap KPUD dalam hal finansial, sarana dan prasarana, serta peralatan-peralatan lainnya. Hal ini berdampak pada pelanggaran prosedur atau aturan dalam penyelenggaraan pemilukada 2010 di Kabupaten Tolitoli.Kata kunci:Â Â Â Â kelayakan teknis, daya dukung politik, dan daya dukung admninistras
PERAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI MENGAJAR GURU DI SMA UMMUL MUKMININ MAKASSAR

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan motivasi mengajar guru di SMA Ummul Mukminin Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun informan dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga orang guru. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode observasi, metode wawancara, dan metode dokumentasi. Tenik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penggumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepala Sekolah telah berperan baik dalam meningkatkan motivasi mengajar guru di SMA Ummul Mukminin Makassar.Keywords : Kepala sekolah, Motivasi, dan Gur
INCREASING STUDENT’S VOCABULARY OF THE FIRST GRADE AT SMA NEGERI 3 TOLITOLI THROUGH WORDS ASSOCIATION GAME
No full textThe objective of the research is to find out whether the application words association technique increasing students’ vocabulary words association game or not. It is a True-Experimental research. It is conducted at first grade of SMA Negeri 3 Tolitoli that was (X MIA1). The writer gave a pre-test to measure the students previous ability in vocabulary words association after given treatment which is the application of words association game technique. The writer used SPSS 16.0 program to analyze the data collection. the result of data analysis showed that technique give a significant effect to the students’ in words association game. The mean score of the post-test (80,61) was higher than the mean score of pre-test (63,65). Then, the testing hypothesis showed that the value of tcount (tc) was greater than ttable (tt) (6.099 ≥ 2,017). INCREASING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY BY USING SONG LYRIC AT THE SECOND GRADE OF SMP NEGERI 3 TOLITOLI

This research aims to find out whether the use of song lyric can increasing students’ vocabulary at VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli. The instrument of collecting data are pretest and posttest. The test was used obtain data in order to find out the effect of using song lyric. The result of the research shows that: 1. By using song lyric can increasing students vocabulary in listening music, 2. There is significant difference between the result of pretest and posttest , the mean score of posttest was 82.42 it was higher than the mean score of pretest 77.09. 3. The testing hypothesis shows that T-count 9.609 was higher than T table 2.036 it indicates that the null hypothesis (Ho) rejected and (Ha) accepted. Get PDFThe objective of this research is to identify the used word wall method in increase students’ vocabulary. An experimental design is used to collect the data. The researcher take the second grade of SMP Negeri 4 Tolitoli Utara as object of the research.The data are obtain through a pre-test and post-test. The pre-test is used to measure the students previous ability in memorizing vocabulary, the treatment are apply materials through word wall method, and the post-test is use to find out the students’ vocabulary after give the treatment.The result of the analysis show the effectiviness of word wall in increasing vocabulary. It can be see by the difference of the mean score between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test is 18.67 while in the post-test improve up to 47.89. Moreover the Minimum Mastery Criterion of English lesson is 75 (seventy-five). Then the data of both test are analyze by using T-test, and the result show that the T-test value 14.030 is greater than T-table value 2,048. It can be infer that word wall method is very effective in increasing students’ vocabulary in memorizing vocabulary. Key words: word wall, vocabulary, memorize vocabulary
