La autonomía individual bajo la tutela del binomio médico-jurídico: hacia una conceptualización histórico-relacional
Full text linkThe present work presents a critical discussion on the notion of individual autonomy as a spring to think about the situation of justice and the quality of life of those who suffer what is now known as severe mental disabilities. It assumes that issues such as social participation, human rights and citizenship of this social group, historically marginalized and excluded, can not be seriously thought without discussing the hegemonic social representation that visualizes madness or mental illness as the absence of individual autonomy. This situation is observed both at the level of the principles on which our social institutions and public policies are based, and in the daily life of the actors themselves. It is necessary, therefore, to think of new ways to understand the problem of individual autonomy that are inclusive for the case of the mentally impaired or the mentally handicapped. This is necessary, at least for those who believe that categories as an individual or citizen should also include those who belong to this minority. But also because it is necessary to denaturalize a liberal conception of individual autonomy that visualizes it as a functional capacity of self-interested rational individuals and not as a relational capacity, which can never be lost due to illness or disability. The approach to relational autonomy is finally proposed as an approach to inclusive individual autonomy with conditions such as mental disability, but which immediately obliges us to address the question of the relationship with others, probably the essence of the problem of madness, after all. El presente trabajo presenta una discusión crítica sobre la noción de autonomía individual como resorte para pensar la situación de justicia y la calidad de vida de quienes padecen lo que hoy se conoce como discapacidades mentales severas. Parte de la base de que cuestiones como la participación social, los derechos humanos y la ciudadanía de este grupo social, históricamente marginado y excluido, no pueden pensarse seriamente sin discutir la representación social hegemónica que visualiza la locura o enfermedad mental como ausencia de autonomía individual. Esta situación se observa tanto a nivel de los principios en que se basan nuestras instituciones sociales y políticas públicas, como en la vida cotidiana de los propios actores. Se requiere, en consecuencia, pensar nuevas maneras para entender el problema de la autonomía individual que resulten inclusivas para el caso de los locos o discapacitados mentales. Esto resulta necesario, al menos para quienes crean que categorías como individuo o ciudadano deban incluir también a quienes pertenecen a esta minoría. Pero además porque resulta necesario desnaturalizar una concepción liberal de la autonomía individual que la visualiza como una capacidad funcional de individuos racionales autointeresados y no como una capacidad relacional, que jamás puede perderse por causa de una enfermedad o discapacidad. El enfoque de la autonomía relacional se propone finalmente como un acercamiento a la autonomía individual inclusivo con condiciones como la discapacidad mental, pero que nos obliga inmediatamente a atender a la cuestión de la relacion con los otros, probablemente la esencia del problema de la locura, a fin de cuentas.

Full text linkIn the last 70 years, the studies on language acquisition have gained special importance within linguistics, which has been evidenced through the emergence of different theories which have tried to explain this process under different prisms. Nowadays there is a relatively wide consensus that no theory can explain something that complex and multifactorial as the acquisition of the mother tongue. However, today only 1% of the world's languages has been documented, which is why the study of acquisition and development of aboriginal languages is even more seldom. The following literature review presents the research done on the Mapuzungun language and it shows that those studies have focused only on later steps of the acquisition process.En los últimos 70 años los estudios sobre la adquisición del lenguaje han cobrado especial importancia dentro de la lingüística, lo cual se ha visto reflejado en el surgimiento de variadas teorías, que bajo distintos prismas han intentado explicar dicho proceso. En la actualidad, existe relativo consenso en que ninguna teoría puede explicar algo tan complejo y multifactorial como lo es la adquisición de la lengua materna. Sin embargo, hasta ahora sólo se ha documentado el 1% de las lenguas del mundo, por lo que el estudio de la adquisición y desarrollo en lenguas originarias es aún más escaso. La siguiente revisión presenta las investigaciones que se han hecho en mapuzungun evidenciando que la mayoría de éstas se han enfocado en etapas posteriores de la adquisición

Medianización social y transformaciones residenciales recientes en ciudades de La Araucanía
Full text linkNeoliberal capitalism has promoted the restructuring of social classes within urban spaces, which have resulted in new urban typologies. This article analyses the way in which thtransformations in the social class structure of the last decades have impacted on the urban dynamics of three cities of La Araucanía: Temuco, Angol and Villarrica. The results show that the middle class has expanded while lower-class residents have declined within the social structure of these cities. In that context, this research shows how those social dynamics are expressed in territorial key within the urban spaces of the Region, in complement with local real estate dynamics that move between the increase of the social mixture of space and the expulsion of the lower classes of consolidated urban areas. Finally, this article reflects on the need to move towards the understanding of how the particularities of these cities have the capacity to build communities in them.El capitalismo neoliberal ha impulsado procesos de reestructuración de las clases sociales al interior de los espacios urbanos, los que han derivado en nuevas formas de construir ciudad. Este artículo analiza la manera en que las transformaciones en la estructura social de clases de las últimas décadas han impactado en las dinámicas urbanas de tres ciudades de La Araucanía: Temuco, Angol y Villarrica. Los resultados dan cuenta de que estas ciudades avanzan hacia procesos de medianización de su estructura social a la vez que han disminuido los grupos asociados a clase baja. En ese contexto, se muestra cómo aquellas dinámicas sociales se expresan en clave territorial al interior de los espacios urbanos de la Región, complementándose con dinámicas inmobiliarias locales que se mueven entre el incremento de la mixtura social del espacio y la expulsión de las clases bajas de las áreas urbanas consolidadas. Se finaliza reflexionando sobre la necesidad de avanzar hacia la comprensión de cómo las particularidades de estas ciudades tienen capacidad para construir comunidades en ellas

That’s why, intangible cultural heritage, is an essential piece in maintaining cultural diversity in the face of growing globalization. In fact, is in the area of neoliberalism, that intellectual property rights seek to appropriate this intangible heritage. The purpose of this article is to give them an adequate treatment as commons goods and anadequate regulation.El Patrimonio Cultural es un terreno no circunscrito únicamente a monumentos o colecciones –patrimonio cultural material-, sino que se compone también de manifestaciones o tradiciones vivas de nuestros antepasados que son o tienen intención de ser transmitidos a futuras generaciones- patrimonio cultural inmaterial-. Este último es una pieza esencial en la conservación de la diversidad frente al auge de la globalización. Dinámicas territoriales mapuches en el cono sur americano: una bibliografía selectiva
Full text linkSe presenta a continuación una selección bibliográfica de trabajos – libros y artículos publicados en revistas académicas – que abordan las dinámicas territoriales mapuches desde perspectivas diversas, en distintos idiomas, y tanto “en” como “a través de” Chile y Argentina. El término “selección” tiene su importancia, pues indica que esta lista no pretende de ninguna manera ser exhaustiva. Es efectivamente posible que algunas referencias no hayan sido integradas pese a su pertinencia con respecto al enfoque definido. No obstante, esta selección se fundamenta en, y da continuidad a, una primera bibliografía publicada en 2012 en un dossier especial de la Revista Geográfica del Sur. La selección aquí presentada resulta por lo tanto de un trabajo desarrollado continuamente desde varios años, a través del cual aquellas referencias pertinentes encontradas en distintas instancias fueron sistemáticamente agregadas a la lista ya existente.
Influence of Moringa oleifera and Senna occidentalis leaf meal composite mixture as alternative to antibiotics on the growth, nutrient digestibility, costs and returns of broiler chickens
Full text linkThis study was conducted to assess the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf meal (MOLM) and Senna occidentalis leaf meal (SOLM) composite mixture on the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, costs and returns of broiler chickens. One hundred and fifty (150) day-old Cobb broiler chicks were randomly allotted to five (5) treatment groups (T1, T2, T3 ,T4 and T5) in a completely randomized design (CRD). Each treatment group contained three (3) replicates with ten (10) birds per replicate and the feeding trial lasted for 8 weeks (56days). The experimental treatment included the control (maize – soya bean meal basal diet with oxytetracyline administered to the birds through drinking water) as T1, T2 (same basal diet was mixed with 0.5% MOLM + 2.0% SOLM), T3 (same basal diet was added with 1.0% MOLM + 1.5% SOLM), T4 (same basal diet was added with 1.5% MOLM + 1.0% SOLM) and T5 (same basal diet was mixed with 2.0% MOLM + 0.5% SOLM). There was no effect of treatments on the live weight, daily weight gain and feed intake, feed conversion ratio (FCR) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) of broiler chickens at the starter phase. At the finisher phase, live weight, daily weight gain and feed intake, feed conversion ratio (FCR) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) were better in broiler chickens that had 1.5% MOLM + 1.0% SOLM (T4) compared to other treatments. Apparent digestible dry matter, crude protein, crude fibre, ash, ether extract and nitrogen free extract (NFE) of broiler chickens were better in MOLM and SOLM mixture than those on the control. The cost incurred per kilogramme weight gain, total cost of production, income and net profit were lower in birds on MOLM and SOLM blend compared to those on the control group. Conclusively, the combination of Moringa oleifera and Senna occidentalis leaf meal was beneficial in improving the growth performance, nutrient utilization and economic value of broiler chickens.
