The Rise and Fall of American Liberal Empire after the End of the Cold War
Get PDFThis paper explores the rise and fall of the American liberal empire over the past 30 years, focusing on the U.S. as an intervener. It is divided into four sections. The first section defines the controversial concept of the “American liberal empire,” highlighting the U.S.’s tendency to intervene in other countries’ domestic politics unilaterally. The second section examines U.S. diplomacy in the 1990s, a period marked by the rise of the American liberal empire, characterized by the pursuit of primacy and humanitarian interventions. The third section covers the 2000s, when the American liberal empire peaked, particularly after the 9/11 attacks, leading to more aggressive interventions in the Middle East. The final section discusses the decline of the American liberal empire, noting a shift toward noninterventionism as the failures of liberal interventions became apparent. Examining the trajectory of American diplomacy over the past three decades, this paper finds it highly unlikely that the American liberal empire will be revived in the second Trump administration, set to begin in 2025.textapplication/pd
ウランバートル市郊外ゲル地区居住者の食生活と栄養状態 : バヤンズルフ区ガチョールト地区の事例
Get PDF都市化が急速に進みつつあるモンゴル国の首都ウランバートルでは、生活スタイルの変化とともに食生活も大きく変化した。しかしそれは必ずしも望ましい方向に変化したというわけではなく、食の安全はますます脅かされるようになってきている。本論では、ウランバートル市郊外のゲル地区の住民100人を対象に、その食生活と食の安全に対する知識について行なった予備的なアンケート調査の結果の分析を行い、現在のウランバートル市住民の抱える問題を検討した。その結果、食の安全に対する意識は食費の支出額と相関していることがわかった。しかしそれは、必ずしも収入と連動しているということではなく、高い支出をせざるを得ない人ほど食の安全に関して無頓着であり、それに対して支出額の少ない人の方が食の安全に危機感を抱いていることが明らかになった。これが何を意味しているのかについては、さらに詳細な調査が必要である。textapplication/pd

Get PDF天秤のつり合いなどを念頭において、「二つのもの」を措定するのは、伝統的な思考であるが、それは、正当な位置づけを与えられていない。実際の問題解決にあっては、それに取り組む者の中動態的なアプローチがなされており、暗に、「二つのもの」が措定されている。現代言語論では、「二つのもの」は、「対話」という形で実現されるが、この対話は、「生」そのものである。対話における自己と他者は、つねに、互いの異質性から同質性に向かうものであって、同質なものになってしまうとき、創造性は失われてしまう。よって、異質性の尊重と、同質性への抗いが必要とされる。そこでは、自己と他者は、互いに「作り作られる」という関わりのなかで、「他者の対象化」ではなく、「他者とともに」生を営んでいく、という共存の関係になる。こうして、ポリフォニーのなかで、互いの自立性、独立性は保ったまま、自己と他者との違いを深く認め合うことによって、オープンダイアローグが有効であるということも実証されつつある。textapplication/pd

Get PDF「記録する」ことが「保育する」ことにどのような意味をもたらすのかを明らかにするため、実際の保育の記録を資料として、その時に保育者自身が何を意識していたのかを考察した。記録の方法を選ぶ時、記録している時、保育している時に、保育者の中にどのような意識があるのか、無意識的に行っている部分も含めて、実践の当事者としての自身を振り返ることを試みた。事例１は、複数の方法を試行した３歳児の記録、事例２は、簡易図に遊びの展開を書き込む同一の様式を継続した５歳児の記録、事例３は、５歳児の遊び同士の繋がりを、こどものもつイメージから視覚的に表した記録である。「記録する」ことが、保育者に負担を強いるものとして位置付けられてしまう保育現場の現況があるが、「記録する」ことは、翌日以降の保育をより豊かなものとするための具体を、保育者自身が意識することである。循環的な過程をもつ「保育」という営みにおいて、日々保育者が「記録する」ことが、自身の保育に対する見方を整理し、こどもの育ちに繋がっていくことを改めて認識した。textapplication/pd
教育実習が進路選択に与える影響 : 教育学部学生のキャリア選択<人文・社会科学>
Get PDFThis study aims to investigate the impact of the teaching practice experience of students in the Faculty of Education on their motivation to become a teacher and to consider ways to improve support for teaching careers. We analyzed data collected from a Google Form questionnaire survey of fourth-year university students who had completed their teaching practice. At the time of the survey, about half of the students planned to become teachers after graduation. The teaching practice had a large impact on their career decisions. While some students felt more motivated to become teachers after experiencing teaching practice, one-third felt less motivated to become teachers. The characteristics of the ideal work environment and the skills that students considered important for their careers were similar between students who wanted to become teachers and those who did not. More than 80% of students found their teaching practice experience rewarding, but more than 90% also found it difficult. They found it difficult to prepare for classes, teach classes, and manage their time. Compared to other students, students who had a lower level of aspiration were less likely to feel that it was easy to consult about the practice and less confident that they could become a teacher. In light of these results, future improvements include creating an environment where it is easy to seek advice, strengthening support for students during teaching practice, helping them acquire practical skills for teaching, and providing career counseling that is supportive of anxious students, encouraging them on the good points even if they are not in a satisfactory situation, and helping them to identify issues and realize that things they are not satisfied with can lead to their future growth.textapplication/pd
