    学校教員の協働による救命活動の課題 : 養護教諭と一般の教員の意識差の考察<教育科学>

    Collaboration among school staff in Basic Life Support (BLS) is essential to improve survival rates during cardiac arrest in schools. However, many teachers experience anxiety about performing lifesaving activities even after receiving BLS training and often rely heavily on Yogo teachers. This study aimed to investigate differences in awareness of BLS between Yogo teachers and general teachers and to identify effective training strategies and challenges for promoting collaborative BLS efforts among school staff. A web-based survey was conducted among attendees of a lecture on BLS incorporating the ASUKA model. Among 785 valid responses, 77 were from Yogo teachers, and 529 were from general teachers. The factors associated with increased confidence in performing lifesaving activities after the lecture differed between the two groups. For Yogo teachers, an improved understanding of the urgency to initiate BLS when the patient’s condition is unclear was a key factor. For general teachers, critical factors included awareness of the realities of school accidents, knowledge of the safety of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and the importance of scenario-based emergency response training. Additionally, a strong sense of professional responsibility to protect children’s lives was a common factor contributing to increased confidence in both groups. For Yogo teachers, mastering the ASUKA model algorithm, particularly in scenarios where the patient’s consciousness or breathing status is uncertain, was effective in enhancing their confidence. For general teachers, fostering a sense of professional duty, acquiring foundational knowledge and skills in BLS, and engaging in scenario-based training were critical for building confidence. To ensure adequate training opportunities, incorporating school safety as a mandatory subject and formalizing regular scenario-based training sessions are recommended.textapplication/pd
