Analisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam problem-based learning
Abstract
One of the abilities that students must have in learning mathematics is the ability to think critically. Developing critical thinking skills can be done through problem-based learning. This research aims to analyze students\u27 critical thinking abilities in problem-based learning. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this research were 20 class VII students at SMP Negeri 8 Garut. The data collection technique in this research is by using written test questions and interviews. The data analysis carried out was data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. The research results show that problem-based learning is a learning model that is suitable for determining students\u27 critical thinking abilities. Of the 20 students who were research subjects, there were 5% of students who had a very good level of critical thinking ability, 30% of students had a good level of critical thinking ability, 55% of students had a sufficient level of critical thinking ability, and 10% of students had the level of critical thinking ability is in the poor category.
Abstrak
Salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis. Untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat dilakukan melalui problem-based learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam problem-based learning. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 8 Garut sebanyak 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan instrumen soal tes tertulis dan wawancara. Analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem-based learning merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang cocok digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dari 20 orang siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian, terdapat 5% siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis kategori sangat baik, 30% siswa memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis kategori baik, 55% siswa memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis kategori cukup, dan 10% siswa memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis kategori kurang
The Role of Internet Technology in E-Commerce
This research discusses the role of internet technology in e-commerce. This research used a causal research design on 58 respondents. The data collection technique used is simple linear regression with the SPSS 21 application. Technology plays a role in the development of e-commerce. This shows that customers will be satisfied if they use technology that offers good technology, low risk and the development of e-commerce. This research has benefits in developing applied theory that information technology plays an important role in e-commerce. For further research, it is hoped that we will examine dividend variables that are not included in this research model. This research has practical benefits for business actors using e-commerce to improve marketing performance by always paying attention to the role of information technology in e-commerce
THE ROLE OF VILLAGE GOVERNMENT IN IMPROVING WELFARE IN THE WAIRBLELER VILLAGE FISHERMAN COMMUNITY
The purpose of this study is to find out more about the role of the Village Government in improving the welfare of the fishing community and the inhibiting factors of the Village Government in improving the welfare of the fishing community in Wairbleler Village, Waigete District, Sikka Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach method. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The informants involved in this research are the village government and fishing communities. Data collection techniques used include observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction (data reduction), data display (data presentation) and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the research that the Wairbleler Village Government has carried out its role by providing motivation in the form of procuring FADs, providing fishing gear facilities and providing training, the Wairbleler Village Government has carried out its role well to meet all the needs and problems of the fishing community and for various inhibiting factors the welfare of the fishing community in the form of a budget, late distribution, uneven distribution of assistance. This study suggests that the Wairbleler Village Government together with the Sikka District Fisheries Service provide facilities and pay more serious attention so that there is an even distribution of assistance so that it can increase the capture power of fishery products
THE ROLE OF TOURISM AND CULTURE DEPARTMENT OF SIKKA DISTRICT AND VILLAGE GOVERNMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOURISM SECTOR OF KOLISIA B VILLAGE
This study aims to determine the extent of the Role of the Tourism and Culture Office of Sikka Regency and the Village Government in the Development of the Tourism Sektor in Kolisia B Village and what are the inhibiting factors in the development of the tourism sektor. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The informants involved in this study were the Department of Tourism and Culture in the section on developing tourist attractions and the Village Government of Kolisia B. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction (data reduction), data display (data presentation) and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of the study, the role of the Sikka Regency Tourism and Culture Office and the Village Government have carried out their role by providing training activities to the community, providing facilities in the form of rest areas for visitors, seats and public toilets, and establishing partnerships with private parties such as the NTT BANK, then The Department of Tourism and Culture and the Village Government have carried out their roles quite effectively to meet the needs and problems in the development of the tourism sektor, there are also various inhibiting factors in the development of the tourism sektor in the form of budgets, human resources, land ownership status and promotional media. The Sikka Regency Tourism and Culture Office and the Village Government need to socialize the community in stages to increase community participation in the development of the tourism sektor. There needs to be innovation and creativity in promoting tourism in print or internet media, so that tourism objects can be recognized, and there needs to be new breakthroughs made by the Tourism and Culture Office and the Village Government so that visitors are interested in visiting tourist attractions
IMPLEMENTATION OF KAHOOT APPLICATION TO IMPROVING OF INTEREST OF CIVIC EDUCATION LEARNING (EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH IN CLASS XI OF SMA NEGERI 1 GARUT)
This research aims to determine the implementation of the kahoot application in increasing learning interest of Civic Education Learning, the achievement result of increased interest in learning Civic Education by using the kahoot application, and the achievement result of the effect the implementation of the kahoot application in increasing Civic Education learning interest. This study uses a quantitative research design with the experimental model, True Experimental with the Pretest-Posttest of Control Group Design conducted on students in class XI with a research technique using Random sampling. Techniques of Data collection were carried out by giving a pretest in one group that was given a treatment or what was called an experimental class. After that, students are given a final test and questionnaire at the end of the lesson. The results of the study in terms of cognitive aspects (learning interest) showed that the study class results had a gain normalized by 0.75 or 75%, with an average pretest of students at 60.5 and an average posttest score of 90.5. Based on the results of the processing of research data shows that there is a significant influence between the use of the kahoot application and increasing interest in PKn Subject, namely 54.6%
Analysis of Viral Hashtag Usage Patterns as a Media for Netizen Character Education (Critical Study of the Global Phenomenon of the Hashtag #dajjal on Twitter)
Hashtags as the key to global social change and education as a tool to optimize it. The research problem in this study is that no research has been found on viral hashtags as a medium for character education for netizens. The formulation of the problem is the pattern of using viral Twitter hashtags and the concept of viral hashtags as a medium for character education for netizens. The aim of this research is to determine the pattern of use of viral hashtags on Twitter social media and also to understand the concept of viral hashtags as a medium for developing netizen character. This research has the benefit of complementing the concept of character education in the technological era and helping people become netizens with character. Research uses: qualitative approach; discourse analysis; research object in the form of viral hashtags; the subject is netizens; sample in the form of the hashtag #dajjal; observation; document records; analysis of character education reviews; and triangulation theory. The results of this research are: 1) viral hashtags are used to share knowledge, prayer, opinions, discussions, social movements, peace mediators, entertainment and personal interests; 2) the concept of character education for netizens, namely viral hashtags as a medium for conveying values knowledge, expressions of value beliefs (values express), value choice declarations (values declare), values clarification, values action, and value control
Statistics Learning Media Innovation B-Tube (Combination Blog and YouTube)
Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital dengan mengombinasikan web-blog dan YouTube. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) Level 1 oleh Sugiyono. Subjek dari penelitian ini 30 siswa kelas VIII SMP IT Mutiara tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis data penelitian ini kuantitatif dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistik. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi ahli media, materi, dan bahasa, angket respon pengguna guru dan siswa, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk Kombinasi Blog dan YouTube (B-Tube) valid digunakan, praktis dan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Berdasarkan analisa hasil uji produk menunjukan skor ahli media 4.78 (sangat valid), ahli materi 4.50 (valid), ahli 4.67 (sangat valid). Respon pengguna guru dan siswa menunjukkan persentase kepraktisan sebesar 100% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Uji efektifitas menggunakan N-Gain menunjukkan hasil N-Gain Skor sebesar 0.73 atau N-Gain (%) sebesar 73 dengan kriteria tinggi berdasarkan kriteria N-Gain menurut Melzer. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa media B-Tube dalam pembelajaran statistika valid digunakan, praktis dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika.
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to develop digital learning media by integrating web blogs and YouTube. The study follows the Research and Development (R&D) Level 1 method by Sugiyono. The subjects are 30 eighth-grade students at SMP IT Mutiara during the 2023/2024 academic year. The research data is quantitative and analyzed using descriptive and statistical methods. The instruments used include validation sheets for media, material, and language experts, as well as questionnaires for teacher and student user responses, and learning outcome tests. The results indicate that the combination of Blog and YouTube (B-Tube) is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes. Based on the product test analysis, the media experts rated it 4.78 (very valid), the material experts 4.50 (valid), and the language experts 4.67 (very valid). The response from teachers and students indicated a 100% practicality rate, categorizing it as very practical. The effectiveness test, using N-Gain, showed an N-Gain score of 0.73 or N-Gain (%) of 73, which falls under the high criteria based on Melzer\u27s N-Gain criterion. This study shows the results that B-Tube media in statistics learning is valid, practical and effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes
Analysis of Mathematical Logic and Computational Thinking Abilities of Informatics Engineering Students on Learning Achievement in Calculus Courses
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kemampuan logika matematika dan berpikir komputasional dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah Kalkulus. Studi ini melibatkan 66 siswa semester pertama Program Studi Teknik Informatika pada tahun akademik 2022/2023. Tes untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir logika dan komputasional serta instruksi untuk mengumpulkan data tentang prestasi belajar adalah bagian dari metode pengumpulan data. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan korelasi Pearson bivariat dan regresi linear berganda, dengan pengujian prasyarat yang mencakup uji normalitas, homoskedastisitas, multikolinearitas, dan autokorelasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara berpikir komputasional dengan prestasi belajar (r = 0,715), antara logika matematika dengan prestasi belajar (r = 0,781), serta antara berpikir komputasional dan logika matematika (r = 0,661). Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya integrasi kemampuan logika matematika dan berpikir komputasional dalam proses pembelajaran Kalkulus, yang dapat diupayakan melalui pendekatan pedagogis yang tepat serta pengembangan media pembelajaran yang mendukung.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between mathematical logic skills and computational thinking with students\u27 academic performance in the Calculus course. This study involved 66 first-semester students of the Computer Engineering Study Program in the 2022/2023 academic year. Tests to measure logical and computational thinking abilities, as well as instructions for collecting data on learning achievements, are part of the data collection methods. Data analysis was conducted using bivariate Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression, with prerequisite tests including normality, homoscedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation tests. The analysis results show a significant relationship between computational thinking and academic achievement (r = 0.715), between mathematical logic and academic achievement (r = 0.781), as well as between computational thinking and mathematical logic (r = 0.661). These findings indicate the importance of integrating mathematical logic skills and computational thinking in the learning process of Calculus, which can be pursued through appropriate pedagogical approaches and the development of supportive learning media
Application of The Rasch Model in Research Publications: A Bibliometric Analysis
Model Rasch merupakan teknik yang ideal untuk menilai respons secara teratur dan meningkatkan analisis data. Model ini merupakan instrumen yang berguna untuk mengukur pencapaian dalam tes pendidikan dan psikologi. Namun, penting untuk mengidentifikasi potensi keterbatasan model dan mempelajarinya dalam penelitian di masa depan. Analisis bibliometrik penelitian digunakan untuk menentukan tren penelitian tentang penggunaan model Rasch. Pencarian literatur ekstensif dilakukan dengan menggunakan database scopus pada tanggal 19 Februari 2023, dengan menggunakan kata kunci "model Rasch". Temuan menunjukkan bahwa model Rasch adalah alat pengujian yang diterima secara luas dan berguna yang mungkin lebih efektif daripada metode alternatif. Meskipun model Rasch adalah alat yang berguna untuk mengkalibrasi tes psikologi, namun penting untuk menangani masalah yang mungkin terjadi saat menggunakannya. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk mengevaluasi hasil dengan hati-hati dan memahami keterbatasan model Rasch ketika menggunakan psikotes.
The Rasch model is an ideal technique for regularly assessing responses and improving data analysis. This model is a useful instrument for measuring achievement in educational and psychological tests. However, it is important to identify potential limitations of the model and study them in future research. Bibliometric analysis of research was used to determine research trends regarding the use of Rasch models. An extensive literature search was conducted using the Scopus database on February 19, 2023, using the keyword "Rasch model". The findings suggest that the Rasch model is a widely accepted and useful testing tool that may be more effective than alternative methods. Although the Rasch model is a useful tool for calibrating psychological tests, it is important to address the problems that may occur when using it. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the results carefully and understand the limitations of the Rasch model when using psychological tests
Meta-Analysis of TPACK Research on Mathematics Education
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh Pengetahuan Konten Pedagogis Teknologi (TPACK) terhadap kemampuan matematika calon guru dalam mengajar matematika. Desain penelitian adalah tinjauan pustaka, dan subjek yang disertakan adalah penelitian yang tersedia dari situs web jurnal daring. Subjek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi penelitian, dan sebagai hasilnya, enam artikel dipilih untuk analisis TPACK terhadap kemampuan matematika. Data dianalisis dalam meta-analisis berdasarkan ukuran efek. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa TPACK memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan matematika calon guru sebagaimana ditunjukkan dari ukuran efek rata-rata sebesar 1,06. Hasil tersebut juga menunjukkan bahwa efek keseluruhan TPACK terhadap kemampuan matematika adalah 1,06 dan dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai efek yang tinggi.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) on the pre-service teachers\u27 mathematical ability to teach mathematics. The research design is a literature review, and the subject included is research available from online journal websites. The research subject was selected based on the research inclusion criteria, and as a result, six articles were selected for the analysis of TPACK on mathematical ability. Data were analyzed in a meta-analysis based on the effect size. The findings suggested that TPACK has a significant impact on the pre-service teachers\u27 mathematical ability as shown from the mean effect size of 1.06. The results also indicated that the overall effect of TPACK on mathematical ability is 1.06 and can be classified as a high effect
