    Get PDF
The increasing digitalization and online connectivity in urban areas have transformed the socio-spatial space, converging the physical and digital worlds. While offering convenience and efficiency, this transformation has also given rise to the threat of cybercrime, which exploits vulnerabilities in internet-connected systems and devices. Cybercrime in urban socio-spatial spaces can take various forms, including data theft, hacking, malware distribution, online fraud, and attacks on critical infrastructure. This paper explores and analyzes the phenomenon of cybercrime in the context of urban socio-spatial spaces. It identifies the common types of cybercrime, examines the driving factors behind their occurrence, assesses the impacts on economic, social, and psychological aspects, and proposes prevention strategies. Through a comprehensive understanding of cybercrime dynamics in urban areas, this study aims to provide new insights and recommendations for more effective prevention and mitigation efforts to maintain the security and stability of urban communities

This year’s Presidential and Vice-Presidential election is a political power struggle that will determine the future of the Indonesian nation. This qualitative research aims to assess electoral politics, specifically the electability of each candidate pair based on key political elements. The research method used is a literature review, with secondary data obtained from journal articles, books, and online sources. The results of the study indicate that trends in candidate electability can be measured through the harmonization of political survey results and the configuration of each candidate’s electability. The candidate pairs incorporate political elements such as identity politics, political blunders, work programs, elite or key actors, public gimmicks and sensationalism, and political maneuvers, as seen in the campaigns of Anies-Muhaimin, Prabowo-Gibran, and Ganjar-Mahfud. These political elements, which have long existed in Indonesia’s political arena (conventional elements), often dramatically shift the electoral strength of each camp. The candidates must manage these political elements to their electoral advantage if they wish to increase their electability and win the election. This study examines the strategy of capitalizing on voter behavior in the 2024 Presidential Election

    Get PDF
The #StopKekerasanSeksual campaign serves as an example of a new digital-based social movement that leverages social media to raise awareness, build solidarity, and drive social and policy changes. This study aims to analyze resource mobilization strategies in the campaign, including the use of social media hashtags, digital fundraising, collaborations with NGOs and activists, direct action mobilization, and public education. The findings reveal that hashtags, as digital symbols, are effective in broadening message reach and building solidarity networks. Cross-sector support and victim-centered storytelling have successfully challenged social stigma, fostered collective empathy, and increased public participation. Furthermore, the campaign has significantly contributed to accelerating policy changes, such as the enactment of the Sexual Violence Law (UU TPKS) in Indonesia. This study recommends further exploration of the effectiveness of long-term strategies and the development of replicable models for similar campaigns addressing other social issues

    Get PDF
This study explores the transformation of masculinity in the post-patriarchy era, examining how contemporary male identity undergoes fundamental reconstruction. Using a literature review method with a qualitative-analytical approach, the research analyzes the deconstruction of traditional masculinity models and the emergence of new masculinity paradigms. The findings reveal a significant shift from dominance- and physical strength-based constructions of masculinity toward more empathetic, reflective, and egalitarian models. Factors such as technology, education, and structural social changes fundamentally influence the transformation of male identity. Modern men are now characterized by collaborative leadership, gender sensitivity, active involvement in caregiving, and a willingness to deconstruct masculine privilege. The study uncovers the psychological and social challenges men face during the identity reconstruction process, including identity crises, societal resistance, and adaptation demands. The research concludes that masculinity is a dynamic construct that continues to evolve alongside structural and cultural changes in society

Generation Z's use of social media in communicating between lecturers and students in higher education often ignores communication ethics in accordance with Pancasila values. Unpolite interaction patterns, inappropriate choice of diction, and greetings when asking about lecture assignments are some of the problematic social media communication ethics of generation Z. This research aims to see the extent of generation Z's social media communication ethics in the perspective of Pancasila values. This is felt to be important because Pancasila is the personality of the Indonesian nation and people, so generation Z should be able to correlate their actions so that they are in accordance with Pancasila principles in communicating via social media. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Primary data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, secondary data comes from journals, books, magazines, articles and other library sources. Data analysis uses data triangulation through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are (1) The increasing disappearance of Pancasila Ethics in generation Z communication is marked by the generation Z's lack of concern for the value of worship, weak social interaction, declining nationalism, egoism of opinion in democracy and prioritizing group solidarity even if it is wrong rather than accepting the truth. (2) Generation Z's social media behavior tends to get quick and short information through social media, so they have difficulty thinking critically about diverse information. (3) A critical attitude, deep thinking and polite language are needed in student communication with lecturers. The research conclusion is that there needs to be encouragement of example through individuals and formal institutions so that generation Z's communication ethics, especially in higher education circles involving lecturers and students, are in accordance with the principles of Pancasila.Keyword: Ethics, Communication, Social Media, Generation Z, Pancasila
