    La Visualización Matemática y su Impacto en la Comprensión Conceptual: Una Revisión Narrativa

Through a systematic analysis of 62 recent academic publications, it explores how visual representations transform abstract ideas into concrete experiences, particularly in algebra and geometry. The results reveal that visualization not only facilitates the internalization of complex concepts but also strengthens connections between different mathematical areas, promoting stronger relational understanding. Various educational resources are identified, from physical manipulatives to specialized software such as GeoGebra, allowing students to dynamically explore mathematical relationships. However, effective implementation faces challenges such as insufficient teacher training and the need to adapt strategies to diverse learning styles. Pedagogical implications point toward a multimodal approach that systematically integrates visualization into mathematics curricula and promotes active learning. This review contributes to the educational field by providing a critical synthesis of how visualization can positively transform the mathematical learning experience, building bridges between disciplinary abstraction and students' concrete experiences. Los resultados revelan que la visualización no solo facilita la internalización de conceptos complejos, sino que también potencia la conexión entre diferentes áreas matemáticas, promoviendo una comprensión relacional más sólida. Se identifican diversos recursos educativos, desde manipulativos físicos hasta software especializado como GeoGebra, que permiten a los estudiantes explorar dinámicamente relaciones matemáticas. Sin embargo, la implementación efectiva enfrenta desafíos como la insuficiente formación docente y la necesidad de adaptar estrategias a diversos estilos de aprendizaje. Las implicaciones pedagógicas apuntan hacia un enfoque multimodal que integre sistemáticamente la visualización en los currículos matemáticos y promueva el aprendizaje activo. Esta revisión contribuye al campo educativo proporcionando una síntesis crítica sobre cómo la visualización puede transformar positivamente la experiencia de aprendizaje matemático, tendiendo puentes entre la abstracción disciplinar y la experiencia concreta de los estudiantes.     Análisis de modelos predictivos en Instagram: Tendencias actuales y brechas en la investigación

Despite prior research across various platforms, a gap remained in the analysis of predictive models focused on Instagram. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a systematic literature review in academic databases on models for predicting popularity on this social network. The findings revealed that organizations employed these models to improve marketing decisions, detect trends, and personalize content. It was found that individual photo posts were the most studied, while formats like reels and carousels posed analytical challenges due to the need for advanced text preprocessing techniques to enhance accuracy. Although progress has been made in developing models for other networks, studies specific to Instagram still presented limitations regarding transparency, ethics, and privacy, as well as a limited use of certain types of content for making predictions. The implications of this study are practical, as they provide marketing professionals and content creators with a comprehensive understanding of how predictive models on Instagram can be used to optimize content strategy on this platform. Por ello, este estudio tuvo como propósito realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura en bases de datos académicas sobre modelos de predicción de popularidad en esta red social. Los resultados revelaron que las organizaciones emplearon estos modelos para mejorar decisiones de marketing, detectar tendencias y personalizar contenido. Se encontró que las publicaciones con fotos individuales fueron las más investigadas, mientras que formatos como reels y carruseles plantearon desafíos analíticos debido a la necesidad de técnicas avanzadas de preprocesamiento de texto para mejorar la precisión. Aunque se avanzó en el desarrollo de modelos para otras redes, los estudios específicos en Instagram presentaron limitaciones en cuanto a transparencia, ética y privacidad, además de un uso reducido de ciertos tipos de contenido para realizar predicciones. Las implicaciones de este estudio son prácticas, ya que proporcionan a los profesionales de marketing y a los creadores de contenido una comprensión integral de cómo los modelos predictivos en Instagram pueden optimizar la estrategia de contenido en esta plataforma.     Durabilidad de los materiales utilizados en proyectos de construcción ecológicos

    The prevailing concern worldwide about environmental conservation has led many sectors to look for ecological and sustainable alternatives to contribute to this issue. The construction sector, in addition to being one of the most important economic sectors, is also responsible for the consumption of 40% of the natural resources used by man and causes around 50% of global pollution. The objective of this research is to describe the durability of ecological materials for the construction sector. Method: Bibliographic type research since various texts were consulted to obtain information. Results and Conclusions: There are various ecological materials that can be used in the construction sector, the most common being: bamboo. adobe, straw, wood, Hempcrete, and PET, whose durability will be conditioned to its correct use and treatment, as well as compliance with the specific recommendations for each type of material, it is also necessary to take into account the climatic conditions of the area in which the ecological construction project will be carried out, which will allow choosing the appropriate material. Keywords: construction, durability, materials, ecological.La preocupación imperante a nivel mundial sobre la conservación del medio ambiente ha llevado a que muchos sectores busquen alternativas ecológicas y sustentables para contribuir con este tema. El sector construcción, además de ser uno de los sectores económicos más importantes, también es responsable del consumo de un 40% de los recursos naturales usados por el hombre y ocasiona alrededor del 50% de la contaminación mundial. El objetivo de esta investigación es describir la durabilidad de los materiales ecológicos para el sector construcción. Método: Investigación de tipo bibliográfico ya que se consultaron diversos textos para la obtención de la información.  Resultados y Conclusiones: Existen diversos materiales ecológicos que pueden ser usados en el sector construcción, siendo los más comunes: el bambú. adobe, la paja, la madera, el Hempcrete, y el PET, cuya durabilidad estará condicionada a su correcto uso y tratamiento, así como también cumplir con las recomendaciones específicas para cada tipo de material, además es necesario tomar en cuenta las condiciones climáticas de la zona en la cual se realizará el proyecto de construcción ecológica lo que permitirá escoger el material adecuado.     Modelación Hidráulica HEC-RAS para la Estimación y Simulación de Inundaciones en la Quebrada Cunduana, Riobamba

    The quantitative research conducted on the Cunduana ravine, in the Riobamba canton, focused on a hydrological and hydraulic analysis to generate flood maps that contribute to risk management in the region. This exploratory study was carried out between January and March 2024 and used a design rainfall with a return period of 50 years to create a hyetograph.Subsequently, a hydraulic simulation was performed using HEC-HMS software to characterize the ravine and determine the expected maximum discharge. Then, HEC-RAS software was used to analyze flow depths and velocities in the area.The results revealed that the hydrological characteristics of the ravine produce an estimated maximum discharge of 5.40 m³/s. Flood event simulations indicated water levels ranging from 0.03 m under minimum conditions to 0.343 m under extreme situations, with velocities varying from 0.84 m/s under normal conditions to 3.64 m/s under severe events. In conclusion, the integration of morphometric parameters of the ravine with the results of hydraulic simulations provides a comprehensive understanding of flood risks, which is crucial for the development of effective preventive mitigation plans. Este estudio exploratorio se llevó a cabo entre enero y marzo de 2024 y utilizó una lluvia de diseño con un período de retorno de 50 años para crear un hietograma. Posteriormente, se realizó una simulación hidráulica con el software HEC-HMS para caracterizar la quebrada y determinar el caudal máximo esperado. A continuación, se empleó el software HEC-RAS para analizar las profundidades y velocidades del flujo en la zona. Los resultados revelaron que las características hidrológicas de la quebrada producen un caudal máximo estimado de 5,40 m³/s. Las simulaciones de eventos de inundación indicaron niveles de agua que oscilan entre 0,03 m en condiciones mínimas y 0,343 m en situaciones extremas, con velocidades que varían desde 0,84 m/s en condiciones normales hasta 3,64 m/s en eventos severos. En conclusión, la integración de parámetros morfométricos de la quebrada con los resultados de simulaciones hidráulicas proporciona una comprensión integral de los riesgos de inundación, lo que es crucial para el desarrollo de planes preventivos de mitigación efectivos.     Análisis de modos y efectos de fallas en una sala de máquinas de un hospital

    Maintenance in Hospitals is very important due to the high levels of risk for patients and the complexity and diversity of the equipment they have to provide their services. The objective of this work was to apply the analysis of failure modes and effects in the engine room of a Hospital in order to increase the availability of the equipment. The methodological strategy followed included the criticality analysis and the application of the FMEA, which is one of the main tools of the RCM. The fundamental results of the criticality analysis showed that the two highly critical pieces of equipment were the boilers. The failure mode and effect analysis carried out in the boilers showed that the most significant failures occurred in the burner due to the deterioration of the nozzle and in the electric motor of the fan due to the wear of the bearings due to unbalance and misalignment. These results allowed us to define the maintenance actions necessary to prevent this type of failure. Keywords: RCM, Hospital, Criticality analysis.El mantenimiento en los Hospitales es de mucha importancia por los altos niveles de riesgos para los pacientes y la complejidad y diversidad del equipamiento con que cuentan para brindar sus servicios. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue aplicar el análisis de modos y efectos de fallas en la sala de máquinas de un Hospital con el fin de incrementar la disponibilidad de los equipos. La estrategia metodológica seguida contempló el análisis de criticidad y la aplicación del AMEF que es una de las principales herramientas del RCM.  Los resultados fundamentales del análisis de criticidad arrojaron que los dos equipos de alta criticidad fueron las calderas. El análisis de modo y efecto de fallas realizado en las calderas dio que las fallas de mayor significancia se presentaron en el quemador por el deterioro de la boquilla y en el motor eléctrico del ventilador por el desgaste de los rodamientos por el desbalance y la desalienación. Estos resultados permitieron definir las acciones de mantenimiento necesarias para prevenir este tipo de fallas. Palabras clave: RCM, Hospital, Análisis de criticidad.     Optimización Multihoraria de la Generación Eléctrica: Modelando Combustible y Redes para satisfacer demandas variables nodales

    The economic dispatch of generation represents a fundamental methodology in the operation of electricity systems, aimed at optimizing electricity production costs while effectively meeting the electricity demand. Therefore, the present study carries out the Multi-hour Optimization of Electricity Generation (MOEG), which models the fuel stock and the networks necessary to meet the variable nodal demands, fundamental aspects to guarantee an optimal and sustainable operation. This analysis is enriched with the inclusion of case studies that demonstrate the practical implementation of the suggested model, showing how the integration of transmission and fuel management constraints can significantly improve the economic dispatch of generation. Por consiguiente, el estudio presente lleva a cabo la Optimización Multihoraria de la Generación Eléctrica (OMGE), la cual modela el stock de combustible y las redes necesarias para atender las demandas nodales variables, aspectos fundamentales para garantizar una operación óptima y sostenible. Este análisis se enriquece con la inclusión de estudios de caso que evidencian la implementación práctica del modelo sugerido, mostrando cómo la integración de restricciones de transmisión y gestión de combustibles puede mejorar significativamente el despacho económico de generación. This article aimed to evaluate the impact of AI on infrastructure projects, identifying its main applications, benefits, and barriers. The methodology included a systematic literature review, case study analysis, and simulations to compare traditional approaches with AI-based techniques. Data were collected from secondary sources and real projects, processed using statistical tools and advanced algorithms. The results show that AI enables cost reductions of 25%, waste decreases of 18%, and time savings of 40% in project execution. However, challenges such as system interoperability and data quality limit its adoption. Despite these barriers, AI demonstrates significant potential in sustainable construction and project management. The conclusions emphasize the need for ethical regulatory frameworks, professional training, and the integration of hybrid models that combine AI with traditional approaches. These measures are essential to maximize technological benefits and foster a more efficient and sustainable industry. Se empleó una metodología basada en una revisión sistemática de literatura, análisis de casos de estudio y simulaciones para comparar enfoques tradicionales con técnicas basadas en IA. Los datos se recopilaron de fuentes secundarias y proyectos reales, procesándose mediante herramientas estadísticas y algoritmos avanzados. Los resultados destacan que la IA permite reducciones del 25% en costos y del 18% en desperdicios, así como un ahorro del 40% en tiempos de ejecución. Sin embargo, desafíos como la interoperabilidad de sistemas y la calidad de los datos limitan su adopción. A pesar de ello, se evidencia un potencial significativo en la construcción sostenible y la gestión de proyectos. Las conclusiones apuntan a la necesidad de marcos normativos éticos, capacitación profesional y la integración de modelos híbridos que combinen IA con enfoques tradicionales. Estas acciones son fundamentales para maximizar los beneficios tecnológicos y promover una industria más eficiente y sostenible.     The on-line mediation markets in construction sector are present in deferent countries, but has been evaluated only with corporative purpose in order to know the profit generated, the sells volume and the dead time reduction, generating a lack of knowledge of the effect that the implementation of this kind of web sites creates; the above is the reason why this research focused on the effects of implementing a mediation market on-line for construction sector in Riobamba, Ecuador through the usage of innovation diffusion models proposed by Everett Roggers and Frank Bass, letting to know the changes on customs and purchasing consuming into realize commercial transactions through the web page, there is a percental increase in the consumers that prefer realizing their orders on a virtual way after the implementation of the platform and also a change in the consuming was achieved as observed that the number of users that realize transactions in the web site was increasing, same that has been maintained during the implementation time, in despite that the speed of adoption is slow, due to the fear sensation for the users of giving personal data on web pages or making virtual payments. Keywords: Commerce, construction, materials, market, mediation.Los mercados de mediación on-line en el sector de la construcción están presentes en diferentes países, sin embargo han sido evaluados únicamente con fines corporativos, para conocer el margen de utilidad que han generado, los volúmenes de venta que han producido y la reducción en tiempos muertos que ocasionan, lo que ha promovido un desconocimiento sobre el efecto que provocan este tipo de páginas web en dicho sector; por lo que esta investigación se centró en conocer los efectos que produce la implementación de un mercado de mediación on-line en el sector de la construcción en la ciudad de Riobamba, a través de la utilización de los modelos de difusión de innovaciones propuestos por Everett Roggers y Frank Bass, lo que permitió conocer los cambios en las costumbres y consumos de los compradores y calcular la velocidad de adopción, obteniendo, principalmente en los compradores, cambios en sus costumbres hacia realizar transacciones comerciales a través de páginas web, pues existe un incremento del porcentaje de usuarios que prefiere realizar sus compras de forma virtual después de la implementación de la plataforma y además se logró un cambio en el consumo al observar que el crecimiento de usuarios que realizan transacciones a través del sitio web, mismo que es sostenido durante el tiempo de implementación, a pesar de que la velocidad de adopción es baja, por el temor que siente una gran parte de usuarios a proporcionar sus datos a páginas de internet, o realizar pagos en forma virtual. Abstract The on-line mediation markets in construction sector are present in deferent countries, but has been evaluated only with corporative purpose in order to know the profit generated, the sells volume and the dead time reduction, generating a lack of knowledge of the effect that the implementation of this kind of web sites creates; the above is the reason why this research focused on the effects of implementing a mediation market on-line for construction sector in Riobamba, Ecuador through the usage of innovation diffusion models proposed by Everett Roggers and Frank Bass, letting to know the changes on customs and purchasing consuming into realize commercial transactions through the web page, there is a percental increase in the consumers that prefer realizing their orders on a virtual way after the implementation of the platform and also a change in the consuming was achieved as observed that the number of users that realize transactions in the web site was increasing, same that has been maintained during the implementation time, in despite that the speed of adoption is slow, due to the fear sensation for the users of giving personal data on web pages or making virtual payments.     Optimización del Consumo Energético mediante el Desplazamiento de Cargas Sub estación Santa Clara de Manta-Ecuador

    Energy efficiency involves optimizing energy consumption to achieve optimal levels of comfort and service. This is achieved by adjusting electrical consumption according to the actual needs of users or implementing mechanisms to save energy and prevent losses during the process. The objective of this study is to evaluate load shifting as an energy efficiency strategy to reduce consumption during peak hours in four specific circuits of feeder 31 in the Santa Clara sector, near Substation Manta 3. The study is conducted through a field and documentary research design, with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Techniques such as documentary and content analysis, as well as surveys, are employed. Data collection is carried out through bibliographic and institutional sources, along with the administration of questionnaires to a sample of 180 customers in the Santa Clara sector. The information obtained allows characterizing the load profile of users in the area, followed by three simulations carried out in the PVSOL software. The study results are positive; by shifting loads to another schedule, it is possible to reduce energy consumption during peak hours, leading to alleviating the burden on the distribution network, reducing up to 50% and 75% of the total demand during peak hours. In conclusion, the feasibility of applying this proposed strategy to reduce electricity consumption and alleviate network saturation is confirmed. Esto se logra ajustando el consumo eléctrico según las necesidades reales de los usuarios o implementando mecanismos para ahorrar energía y prevenir pérdidas durante el proceso. El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar el desplazamiento de cargas como una estrategia de eficiencia energética para reducir el consumo durante las horas pico en cuatro circuitos específicos del alimentador 31 de la Subestación Manta 3. El estudio se lleva a cabo mediante un diseño de investigación de campo y documental, con un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo. Se utilizan técnicas de análisis documental, de contenido y encuestas. La recopilación de datos se realiza a través de fuentes bibliográficas, institucionales y la aplicación de cuestionarios a una muestra de 180 clientes del sector. La información obtenida permite caracterizar el perfil de carga de los usuarios de la zona, seguido de tres simulaciones realizadas en el software PVSOL. Los resultados del estudio son positivos; al desplazar las cargas a otro horario, se logra reducir el consumo de energía en las horas pico, lo que conlleva a aliviar la carga en la red de distribución, reduciendo hasta un 50% y 75% de la demanda total durante las horas pico. En conclusión, se confirma la viabilidad de aplicar esta estrategia propuesta para reducir el consumo de energía eléctrica y aliviar la saturación de las redes de distribución.     This study starts from the basic definition of housing as an enclosed and covered space intended for essential activities, emphasizing determining factors such as basic services, utilization of natural conditions, and economic accessibility. The research focuses on a social housing unit located in the Cielito Lindo urbanization, in the Montecristi canton, belonging to the province of Manabí, Ecuador. The aim is to conduct an architectural analysis of the housing constraints in social housing, with the goal of generating recommendations for post-pandemic social housing projects based on the population's needs. The applied research approach is qualitative in nature, exploratory and descriptive of the homes located in the "Cielito Lindo" urbanization. Architectural aspects such as volumetrics, spatial organization, and the relationship with the exterior were evaluated. The findings highlight the need for improvements to ensure health and well-being, particularly in areas such as thermal comfort. The study's recommendations can contribute to optimizing habitability conditions in social housing and addressing future health crises, emphasizing the importance of adapting spaces to new post-pandemic demands. La investigación se centra en una vivienda de interés social ubicada en la urbanización “Cielito Lindo” del cantón Montecristi, perteneciente a la provincia de Manabí, Ecuador, en donde se busca realizar un análisis arquitectónico de las condicionantes habitacionales de una vivienda de interés social, para generar recomendaciones a los proyectos de vivienda de interés social post pandemia según la necesidad de la población. El enfoque de investigación aplicada es de carácter cualitativo, del tipo exploratorio y descriptivo de las viviendas ubicadas en la urbanización "Cielito Lindo". Se evaluaron aspectos arquitectónicos como volumetría, organización espacial, relación con el exterior, entre otros. Como resultado se destaca la necesidad de mejoras para garantizar salud y bienestar, especialmente en aspectos como confort térmico. Las recomendaciones del estudio pueden contribuir a optimizar las condiciones de habitabilidad en viviendas de interés social y afrontar futuras crisis sanitarias, subrayando la importancia de adaptar espacios a nuevas demandas post-pandemia.
