DEKONSTRUKSI MITOS KEHAMILAN DI KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN
Full text linkThis study aimed to decontruct, elaborate, expres, doing signification, eksplorate, and to transfigurate the pregnancy speaking at myth Padang Pariaman Regency. There is five significant problems, namely (1) to elaborat the form of pregnancy myth speaking, (2) to represent the function of the pregnancy myth speaking, (3) to signify the pregnancy myth speaking, (4) to eksplore the pregnancy myth speaking, and (5) to transfigurate the pregnancy myth speaking. Relate to myth narrative decontruction, the writer uses two methods: (1) the field research; and (2) doing intervieu with Padang Pariaman Regency society, that is Sintoga District, Nan Sabaris District, 2x11 VI Lingkuang District, and Lubuak Alung District. To support the analysis the writer needs some theoried they are speech act, semiotic, hypersemiotic, and desire philosophy.The elaboration form is projected by the meaning which is squarely at the text of pregnancy speaking myth. The step of representation function projected with analyzing function philosophy pregnancy myth speaking for society who produces the myth. Both of significations are called with form is the referred as with form projection and function of pregnancy myth speech. At signification form is the primary step of meaning which is closed to the theory about sign, that is semiotic. For the eksploration step is related to define the secondary stpe, which is closed to the hyersemiotic theory. Eksploration step is related to intertext study. It is aimed to describe ‘’the other meaning’’ of language sign which resulted in the myth speech The transfiguration step is described as the evaluation values which closed to the willingness philosophy

Merekamenganut prinsip sastra yang terbebas dari politik karena sastra merupakan seniyang lahir dari batin sastrawan. Bagi mereka, satu-satunya ideologi kepenyairanadalah universalisme, sedangkan tanah airnya adalah kehidupan dan kemanusiaanitu sendiri. Full text linkThis article describes lingual forms, function, and meaning of graffiti on mass transportation in Padang. On this research, data was obtained from interview with the drivers and co drivers. The result shows there are three lingual forms (word, phrase, and sentence), seven functions (instrumental, regulatory, representational, interactional, personal, heuristic, and imaginative), and three meaning (lexical, grammatical, and contextual) on the objects. Full text linkThis article is focused on discussing efforts to intreprate the manuscript “Kitab Fadilatu al-Syuhur: Menerangkan Sejarah Maulidnya Nabi Muhammad Shalallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam Sampai Hijrah ke Negeri Madinahâ€Â (KFSMSMNM) work of Imam Maulana Abdul Manaf Amin al-Khatib (d. 2006). The article is aimed to: 1) to make description of biography and creative process of Imam Maulana Abdul Manaf Amin al-Khatib; 2) to explain the text of manuscript KFSMSMNM; and 3) to explain phenomenon of literacy and strong verbal iterary tradition. The manuscript KFSMSMNM is not read by oneself but being read aloud to oneself. Thus, one understands the content of a manuscript KFSMSMNM because someone else reads it for them. This phenomenon is associated with Minangkabau people’s nature of literacy and strong verbal literary tradition, especially the adherents of Tarighat Syattariyah in Padang
Gajah Mada dalam Kaba Bujang Jauh: Struktur dan Relasi-Relasi Tokoh A la Lévi-Strauss
No full textSutan Nadal as the main character of this tale became the Prime Minister of Majapahit kingdom in Java. He was known as Gajah Mada. This is interesting to be studied since the origin of Gajah Mada has not been known yet. This Minangkabau classical tale, in Lévi-Strauss structuralism context, should not been put in controversy based on the history and reality. The story, which is believed by certain society and regarded as a true story, could be regarded as a tale by other societies.The sintagmatic relation—relation of characters with others in the story—shows paradigmatic relation—relation of the various characters in the same level. The analysis of the story also found two bundles of relations. They are a bundle of aristocracy relation and a bundle of government relation between Minangkabau and Majapahit kingdom. The analysis of the relation of the characters and bundles of relations reveal the surface structure which shows relations among elements that could be built based on the external characters or empirical characters of the relation, such as family stucture of each characters.The ‘Bujang Jauh’ tale contain the culture of Minangkabau culture which has been extinct. Based on the tale, it is known that a certain society has a whole social system in which all the members have the same tradition and language. Culture is not so simple which is happen instantly. Full text linkThis thesis is a result of research on Kaba Angku Kapalo Sitalang by applying  sociology of literature. In Kaba Angku Kapalo Sitalang, there is a violation of Minangkabau custom law done by the people. The analysis focuses on the violation of Minangkabau custom law by emphasizing Undang Undang Nan Dua Puluh (The twenty rules). In this research, the writer explains the structural analysis by describing theme, characterization, background and plot. Furthermore, Sociology of literature is a branch of literary criticism in its reflective features. This research views literature as mirror of society. Thus, Literature can be a direct reflection of various violation of custom law in society. The writer uses qualitative method in doing this research. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the problem about crimes or any actions against the law of custom in Kaba Angku Kapalo Sitalang covers five criminal actions; samun saka (an action or behavior by disturbing social relation of others), kicuah kicang (deceiving), sumbang salah (the faults behavior), sia baka (making disorder in society such as creating social conflict), and tikam bunuh (murder). The social effect of the violation custom law in Kaba Angku Kapalo Sitalang; first, moral values and norms in society are fading, second, there is a social imbalance in society, and the third, the criminality is rising. In the end, the aim at living a safe, peaceful and prosperous society cannot be achieved
CERITA RAKYAT DI KENAGARIAN SUNGAI NANIANG:KLASIFIKASI DAN FUNGSI
Full text linkFolktale is one of media which record historical and cultural events. It’s also one form of local genius of the society. So, those folktales need to be documented for next generations. This article is result of documentation, classification, and function analysis of Nagari Sungai Naniang folktales. The research use folklore perspectives. The result shows there are seventeen story tales in Nagari Sungai Naniang. Twelve stories are classified into legend and five are tale. Furthermore, three stories serves as a projection of desire and expectation of society, one story serves as a validation tool and the institutions of a cultural system, eight story serves as an educational tool, and two stories serve as a supervisor of norms. Meanwhile, six of those folktales are in near extinct condition
