    Integrasi Nilai-nilai Kewarganegaraan dan Sosial dalam Pembelajaran Ekonomi untuk Membentuk Karakter Siswa yang Berintegritas

    This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of civic and social values in Economics learning at senior high schools in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis with teachers, students, and principals from three selected high schools. The total number of participants in this study was 73 individuals selected purposively based on the research objectives and data requirements.  The results show that value integration occurs through three main stages: lesson planning, classroom implementation, and assessment. The dominant values integrated include honesty, responsibility, cooperation, social justice, and environmental awareness. Contextual and project-based learning approaches were found effective in instilling these values. The impact is evident in students’ improved integrity, discipline, empathy, and ethical decision-making in economic contexts. Although teachers face challenges such as limited time and lack of integrative guidelines between subjects, these are addressed through interdisciplinary collaboration and teacher working groups (MGMP). Overall, the integration of civic and social values in Economics learning significantly contributes to shaping students’ ethical character and responsibility as citizens

    Pengaruh Penggunaan GIS terhadap Kemampuan Analisis Spasial Siswa SMA di Payakumbuh

    This study investigates the extent to which the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) influences students' spatial analysis skills, employing a quantitative approach through a quasi-experimental design. The study population comprised all 11th-grade students at public high schools in Payakumbuh, with the sample drawn purposively from two selected classes. Students in the experimental group received GIS-based instruction, while the control group followed conventional teaching methods. Data were collected using spatial analysis tests, observations, and questionnaires. The data analysis, conducted using a t-test, revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with a p-value of 0.000, indicating significance at the 0.05 level. The experimental group showed an average score improvement of 19.77 points, compared to only 10.47 points in the control group. These findings suggest that the integration of GIS effectively enhances students' spatial analysis skills, geospatial literacy, and learning motivation. Consequently, incorporating GIS technology into geography instruction holds strong potential to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum through technology-oriented and contextually relevant learning approaches

    A Case Study of Using Role Play in Teaching Speaking at Islamic Elementary School Raudhlatus Shibyan

    This study aims to find out how to use role play in teaching speaking in grade V students at Islamic Elementary School Raudhlatus Shibyan. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The subjects of the study were English teacher and grade V students who participated in speaking learning activities using the role play method. The researcher collected data through three main instruments, namely interviews with English teachers, observation of the learning process in the classroom, and documentation in the form of teaching notes, photographs and student learning outcomes. After the data from interviews, observations, and documentation were collected, the researcher performed three main steps in analyzing them. First, data reduction was carried out, namely sorting out the information that had been collected through the results of teacher interviews, then selecting important parts related to the focus of the research. Second, data presentation is carried out, namely compiling important points of the data that have been selected earlier, so that the flow can be seen clearly. Finally, make a conclusion. With these steps, researchers can conclude that role play can indeed help students speak more boldly and be more active in learning English. The findings showed that role play is applied in three stages of learning: preparation, implementation, and evaluation

    Coursebook Evaluation and Critical Thinking Integration: A Study of Two Indonesian EYL Textbooks

    This study evaluated two English coursebooks used in Indonesian junior high schools: English for Nusantara, used at SMPN 4 Cikupa Tangerang, and New Frontiers 1, an international coursebook adopted by SMP IT Laa Tahzan Citra Tangerang. The evaluation focused on the quality of the coursebooks in supporting language learning and teaching, and the integration of critical thinking skills. Using a qualitative descriptive research design with a content analysis, data were drawn from Units 1–3, totaling 54 tasks in English for Nusantara and 94 tasks in New Frontiers 1. Findings show that English for Nusantara aligns well with national curriculum goals and provides localized, culturally relevant content. However, it offers limited teacher support resources, minimal pronunciation coverage, and focuses heavily on lower-order skills, with interpretation and explanation making up 56% of tasks. In contrast, New Frontiers 1 demonstrates stronger communicative and task-based features, comprehensive support materials, and greater integration of critical thinking skills, including evaluation (11%) and combined skills (7%). These results highlight the need for future coursebook development in Indonesia to balance local cultural relevance with critical thinking and 21st century competencies, preparing learners for both national and global communication demands

    This study aims to implement classical guidance in improving the social skills of tenth-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng through the cooperative learning method of the jigsaw type. The research employed a Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) approach conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 33 students of class X.3 who experienced difficulties in interacting with peers and teachers. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ social skills after the application of classical guidance integrated with the jigsaw method, as indicated by the increase in self-confidence, communication skills, and group collaboration. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of cooperative learning models into classical guidance services, which are generally dominated by lecture methods. The contribution of this study provides an alternative strategy for guidance services that is more interactive, collaborative, and contextual, serving as a practical reference for school counselors to optimize students’ social skill development in secondary educatio

    Faktor Penentu Minat Pemuda dalam Berwirausaha Ternak Domba di Kabupaten Jember

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat pemuda dalam memulai usaha ternak domba di Kabupaten Jember, mengingat rendahnya regenerasi peternak muda yang menjadi tantangan bagi keberlanjutan sektor peternakan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode purposive sampling sebanyak 65 responden. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi logistik biner untuk menguji pengaruh pengalaman, motivasi, dukungan keluarga, modal, dan media sosial terhadap minat berwirausaha ternak domba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi merupakan satu-satunya faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap minat pemuda. Sementara itu, pengalaman, dukungan keluarga, modal, dan media sosial tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan, bahkan beberapa menunjukkan kecenderungan negatif. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa tantangan praktis di lapangan, preferensi keluarga terhadap pekerjaan non-agraris, serta paparan media sosial yang kurang mendukung dapat menurunkan minat berwirausaha di sektor peternakan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan motivasi internal generasi muda melalui pembelajaran yang relevan, pengalaman praktik yang lebih konstruktif, serta peningkatan akses informasi dan dukungan permodalan agar minat berwirausaha ternak domba dapat berkembang

    The main problem faced by Darussalam Mosque in Simbarwaringin Village, Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency, is the absence of a waqf land certificate since the mosque was established in 1980. This condition has caused legal uncertainty, potential disputes, and weak protection of religious assets. The obstacles include the lack of official waqf documentation, limited understanding of mosque administrators regarding legalization procedures, and conflicts in asset management, such as the kindergarten (TK) building on waqf land with non-transparent management. The purpose of this assistance activity is to provide understanding to the community and mosque administrators about the importance of waqf legalization, strengthen the nazhir institution, and accelerate the certification process of waqf land in order to obtain clear legal protection. The method used is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by positioning Darussalam Mosque as the main asset. The assistance was carried out through socialization of waqf regulations, legal education, facilitation of community deliberations, tracing the origin of the waqif, preparation of supporting documents, and coordination with the Waqf Pledge Deed Official (PPAIW), Religious Affairs Office (KUA), and the National Land Agency (BPN). The results of the assistance showed an increase in the community’s legal awareness, the formation of an official nazhir body consisting of at least five members, and the strengthening of mosque institutional governance. In addition, the legalization process opened opportunities to restore the management of waqf assets that had previously lacked transparency so that they return under nazhir’s control. Thus, waqf certification not only provides legal certainty over mosque land but also promotes the empowerment of mosque institutions as centers of worship, social activities, and education in Simbarwaringin Village

    Basic math movement training was conducted with the aim of providing fun learning innovations for students while enhancing teacher creativity in teaching. This activity uses a hands-on approach through the creation of simple movements integrated with basic mathematical concepts. The training was attended by teachers and students at MIS Darul Mustofa Panti, Jember, in September 2025. The results showed that teachers gained new insights in developing interactive methods, while students experienced a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. Thus, math movement has the potential to become an alternative, creative learning strategy and can be implemented sustainably in other schools

    It is important to create a supportive environment for children to memorize the Quran. A positive environment, such as support from parents and the community, can increase children's interest in learning and memorizing the Quran. This activity aims to create a fun, competitive atmosphere, so that children are more motivated to memorize the Quran, especially Juz 30. This mentoring program uses a qualitative approach with participatory action research to explore the factors that influence children's motivation and interest in memorizing. The results of this activity are expected to shape a generation that loves the Quran and has noble morals, as well as strengthen social support from family and community

    Budidaya Ikan dan sayur dalam Ember Menggunakan Konsep Matematika untuk UMKM Muria 34 yang Kompeten

    This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the MURIA 34 Community Group in Bondowoso Regency in developing food security–based enterprises through the implementation of Budidaya Ikan dan Sayur dalam Ember (BUDIKDAMBER) or fish and vegetable cultivation in buckets. The activities employed participatory and educational methods, including socialization, training, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The program was conducted on Friday, October 23, 2025, involving approximately 20–25 participants, from 08:00 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. The participants received materials on catfish cultivation, water spinach cultivation, integrated BUDIKDAMBER systems, business management, and digital marketing. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding and practical application of integrated cultivation techniques and small business management. The program outcomes included 22 bucket ponds (20 cylindrical and 2 rectangular), 500 catfish fingerlings, water spinach seeds, and fish feed for field practice. Overall, this program successfully increased community awareness and independence in supporting household food security and encouraged the development of competent and sustainable micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)
